The room was lovely, a good size and very clean. The bathroom was modern and spotless. There was a shared kitchen which had all the basic cooking utensils. Breakfast was delicious and varied day to day, including a hot breakfast and fruits. The lodge is across the road from a very nice swimming bay and is also a short distance from surf spots and trendy cafes. Excellent hosts. Good value for money.

Wow just wow if I could give more stars I would a beautiful family run business who are fantastic. Fantastic location 10 seconds from the beach the room is amazing clean, airy and fresh. If you need a step back from the chaos this is it .set in beautiful gardens with a home stay feel I can’t recommend this place enough

Everything was according to our ideas and priorities. The room with accessories is sufficiently equipped, everything is clean, the breakfast is absolutely excellent and varied, the hosts are kind and helpful, a beautiful cozy garden, the beach is close, clean, pleasant. Quiet location for relaxation.

A lovely place to stay. Super clean rooms with an incredible fan (I hardly even needed the AC the fan was that good!). Lovely garden to sit in to have the delicious and filling breakfast that they make (changes each day! - banana pancakes, omelette, Sri Lankan string hoppers and curry - always served with fruit). Across the road/down a lane way from a beach you can swim at, walking distance to lazy right and a few mins tuk tuk to popular surf spots (Marshmelows, lazy left and Kabalana). The owners are so kind. I came in very late from my flight and they were up waiting. I organised a taxi transfer with them which was fairly priced and easy to spot upon arrival. The driver was great. The accomodation like many other in the area is by the train tracks but I would only hear this around 6:30am or later. Thanks for a wonderful stay :)

The shower pressure could be a bit better, but there is hot water always available :) and bed is a bit short if you are a very tall person, but thats generally common in Sri Lanka

Very clean room in nice surroundings, with garden, outdoor furniture, outdoor shower to use after the beach. Access to kitchen, amazing breakfast and super super nice host helping with everything. A/C and fan working very well :) great place, close to many beaches that you can visit. We had a wonderful stay:)

The owner was a really kind person. In general, the whole complex is really lovely and well treated. Wonderful garden and the rooms were clean and comfy. The breakfest was also really good. The apartment is located near a beautiful beach with an awesome beach bar which has cool drinks and the best curry we ate in sri lanka so far. In total a really good place to calm down and level up your energy. Definitely recommend the whitegates lodge.

Only cold water but for us it was no problem :) The homestay is a little outside of the main areas. But it's easy to reach everything by scooter, bike or tuk tuk (Medigama, Weligama, Merissa etc).

We had a great stay at this place. We had a garden, a comfy room and even if it's not season at the moment we enjoyed a coconut at Wild Beach which is real close (1 min walking). The family which runs this homestay is very lovely and helped us to find the best bus connection to Udawalawa :) It's possible to rent a scooter or bike. Moreover the (very friendly!) neighbor has a tuk tuk. Thanks for having us.

Everything was perfect.

Very clean, comfortable place to stay. Room equipped with AC, kettle and mini fridge. Cleaning every 3 days + fresh towels. Very tasty sri lankan breakfast with fresh fruits. Nice place to seat outside in the garden. Nice beach with a bay to swim (which is rare in Midigama) and with a lot of shadow across the street. Perfect place to spend all hot day till sunset. Very nice and helpful hosts. Thank you very much for everything.

The water was not hot. But this wasn't a real problem as weather is hot.

The place was spotlessly clean and my hosts were very kind and helpful. Would have stayed a little longer but there was no availability. Garden was nice and quiet because the property is set back from the road. Air conditioning worked very well. Nice breakfast.5-10 minute walk to super beach for surfing etc.

Everything was as expected, the room is more spacious than it looks in the pictures. The bed is very comfortable and very clean, there are no bugs inside of the room! We want to highlight the breakfast, it was the best thing for us as they prepare something different everyday! The pancakes are amazing! The owner was very correct and helped us with information every time we needed it. Small beach without crowds just across the road. We would definitely come back.
