We came back to Maheshs beautiful place after 2 years and regret that we had no time to stay even longer. Mahesh created a small paradise: watching chipmonks, peacocks, colourful birds from the terrace while drinking a cup of tea is so relaxing! You can even have snorkelliing masks for free or use his own bicycle for short trips. Delicious breakfast and dinner you can order here. Mahesh helps in all things, is a wonderful attentive host and a lovely person. Thank you so much for this beautiful time.

The charming room felt like being at home not in a sterile hotel. A quiet garden in front , watching birds and squirrels it was very relaxing. You can ask the kindhearted owner even to cook for a delicious dinner.

Nothing, could have stay much longer.

I had an amazing stay, Mahesh is the best host you can wish for and will make sure your stay is unforgettable. When I had sunburn, he got some fresh aloe vera from the garden I could use. Its an hidden gem with a lovely garden, different birds, squirrels and other small wildlife is passing by while I enjoyed breakfast or drink. Located behind the main-street, so no sounds of busses and other traffic. All the places are in walking distance, but I used the bicycle (for free). There is even snorkeling gear u can use for free. The room is just perfect, super clean, comfortable and a good bed. And all the small details are so lovely. I booked for 2 nights and stayed 8 :). It felt like home and can recommended everyone to stay here.

Homelike atmosphere. The host was very service minded, he helped with transport, ozr snorkeling or whale watching trip. He was very generous and caring- always wanted to kniif everything is okay and he wanted to fulfill our wishes. The garden was full of animals which were entertaining us during our breakfast but still very peaceful. I would for sure recomand this place!

Wine Tree Garden is the perfect place to chill and relax in a wonderful and quiet garden. Daily visitors are chipmunks, peacocks, many kinds of colorful birds and sometimes monkeys and you will be able to watch while enjoying a cold drink or cup of tea or coffee. The local beach is only 300 m away. The famous Coconut Hill, Turtle Bay and Mirissa Beach are accessible within a 20 min foot walk along the ocean or for the lazy ones within a few minutes by bicycle or tuktuk. Mahesh will also arrange any kind of services, eg. Udawalawe Safari, Whale Watching, renting a scooter or motorbike, airport pickups and transfers etc. The owner Mahesh is a lovely person and the best host we've experienced in many travels on the worlds most beautiful island. He will offer any delicious breakfast or dinner according to your wishes and you can enjoy your stay in the clean and comfortable rooms with fan and attached European style bathroom. After visiting Mahesh in 2017, 2018 and 2022 we hope to return soon to Mahesh's cosy paradise 🙏🏻 Thanks for everything and take care ❤

We had such an amazing stay at Maheshs „Wine Tree Garden Guesthouse“. Where should I start… the Mirissa Central beach is 20 minutes by foot leading you through lovely bays (like the Turtle Bay where you can go snorkling or the famous Coconut Hill) - or if you‘re lazy: 4 minutes with a tuk tuk or bus. The cozy rooms are the cleanest we‘ve had throughout our trip and compare to European-standard. In the lovely green garden, you are welcomed by chipmunks, peacocks, etc. every morning, it gives you a sense of peace and quiet. It is designed with so much love and detail having put a lot of effort into every corner of the guest house. The heart of this beautiful place is Mahesh, the owner. He will welcome you with a big smile and make sure to grant your every wish (breakfast, rice and curry, snorkles). He is also very well connected in the area and can arrange almost anything (tuk tuk driver, airport transfer, etc.) - thanks to his helping hand. Mahesh made our stay in Mirissa such a heart-warming experience that we miss him already and cannot wait to return to this „2nd Home“. Thanks for everything mister! (Antonia & Jonas)

Mahseh is an increadible host. he gave us a lot of tips where we should go qnd how to get to the airport. one night we went to have dinner with him and some friends of him who came to visit from germany. it was one of our best evenings in sri lanka. :) we hope to be back there some time. 100% recomendable

I had a fantastic stay here. Mahesh was very welcoming, the room was very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious and huge! Mahesh kindly let me stay a little longer in the room at no extra charge as my flight was not until late, as well as organising a taxi to take me to the airport as well. There is also cold drinking water provided and he gave me biscuits and snacks for my journey which was very kind! He even shared a little gift at the end which really finished off my trip in the best way. Nothing bad to say about this property and great value!

This is my second time visiting. I stayed for another week. I had a great time. Everyday I used the bicycle to go to the beach and Mahesh arranged a scooter in 15 minutes when I asked for one. I had breakfast, dinner and beers daily which were all fairly priced for the amount of food and work. Definitely recommend the dinner here and to drink a couple of beers with Mahesh and play some games. During my stay I also had to work quite a lot and the internetspeed was up to 50mb/s, what is hard to find around the island. The next time I come to Sri Lanka I will definitely visit again.

Mahesh is amazing! If there is one place you need to stay in your whole trip is this homestay. I cannot recommend it enough. The owner, is so welcoming, attentive and is there for anything you might need. The rooms are amazing, clean, spacious, just the best. Best WiFi we've had in our whole trip! He also made us dinner one night and hands down one of the best rice & curry we've had! The breakfast, if you ask for it, is amazing too. The location is distant enough from the noise which is the best. You can rent a scooter, which he helps us book, or get a tuk tuk in case you don't want to ride one. The bus stop to go on to your next destination is in front of the house! 10/10!! Best Homestay ever! Thank you soon much Mahesh!

Clean and quitee place with beautiful garden views that you can enjoy while enjoying the superb breakfeast that can host make just for you. Very close to beach with snorcheling great snorcheling spots. Mahesh was very helpful and orginised us a tuktuk and taxi when needed.

Amazing place! Room very comfy and clean, all needed facilities are in, wifi also very good. Spacious area for dining, chilling or playing some board games. Great place! The sounds of the birds in and around the garden are very nice. There is a bicycle available and it's a short ride to Mirrisa centre and several beaches. The service of Mahesh is great and he makes sure there is enough food, water and beers :) breakfast, lunch and dinner are also very good and more then you can eat. See you again next month.

Absolutelly the best place in Mirissa! And also the best accomodation we've had In Srí Lanka. Mahesh, the owner, is truelly amazing person. We called him "mummy" because his care was just unbeliavable. He underestand people needs and he doesnt bother you with something you dont want. The room is clean, with a nice new bathroom. His friends from Germany helped to arrange the rooms so you there are some europians details and you can really feel home. Also recommend to eat a tasty dinner Mahesh prepared! We had fish and it was delicious! Will recommend to all my friends!
