The only small thing is that the aircon doesn’t restart automatically, when the power goes out. You reboot it with the entry card on the wall. Not their fault the power goes out - only for short spurts.

There was nothing we didn’t like, we would stay here again without hesitation. The property owner even followed up with us after our stay to ensure we made it to our next destination safely.

The hospitality is incredible! We were welcomed with fresh juices and the property owner and his family went above and beyond to ensure our every need was met. They gave us recommendations on things to do, contact information for a driver, and even went to the train station to help us get tickets for the Kandy-Ella train. They provided full-sized amenities in the room and the shower temperature and water pressure were the best we had in Sri Lanka. The location of the B&B is also great. There’s a peaceful balcony off of the room, and you can walk to the lake in 5-10 min; we were centrally located to everything so we walked most of the time, though getting a tuk tuk was also easy.

Small family guesthouse, a lot of thought and care has gone into the rooms, with everything you need for a comfortable stay, and the best shower we’ve had in Sri Lanka so far! Hosts are lovely, and there is a beautiful view of the Kandy hills from the breakfast table.

This is the best place to stay in Kandy. We had such a great time at the Y&Y. Amazing room, super clean and the facilities and bathroom are amazing! We would always come back here if we would stay in Kandy. Absolutely great!

Price seemed a bit high

This was the nicest place I stayed in during my time in Sri Lanka. The room was spotless and had many great amenities (strong a/c and fan, good wifi, common area and balcony, etc). I was very comfortable during my stay here. The location is a short walk to the city center and in a very calm neighborhood which is great if you want a quiet place to rest. The family that runs the property is very responsive and sweet.

The property wasn’t easy to find by our driver. If you look on Google maps the Y&Y residence is clearly marked in the correct location - I would suggest using that rather than the address.

We stayed in a pretty, comfortable and very clean room located nicely and close to the centre. It is hosted by a wonderful family, that provided us a lot of assistance, such as finding a parking space for our rental car.

The location is great only few minute walk to city center. The host is nice and willing to help. The room is perfect, you got everything you need, comfy bed, sofa, working table, and all needed stuff in bathroom. Actually it is better than expected. The hotel itself is very clean and quiet even it is standing close to the road.

A new place with yet only two rooms, further rooms under construction. Very comfortable and cozy room with a balcony. Nice bathroom and shower. Conveniently located at a quiet hill just 5 minutes walking up a footpath from Kandy Lake. (Location shown on map in booking.com is not correct!). Friendly family as hosts who helped with laundry and served a nice breakfast and dinner.
