How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

My husband had a shower and hot water just disappeared but he likes cold water so not too bad experience was lucky it wasn’t me but I had no hot water for my self

Stairs very high to get to the room. Not the best restaurant.
Big room, with a lot of space for sleeping, big terrace, very comfortable beds. Amazing private SPA, with big jacuzzi and two saunas!

Nice place to stay in the city centre, not so far from the lake. Tasty breakfast and good restaurant in the hotel!

There was two shower heads but just one was working and very mildly. Maybe someone need to fix that. Because after a long ride with motorcycle we were very much looking for a relaxing shower. Plus maybe you can put a sticker on a cabinet where is hidden hair dryer.
We liked a room, it was small but comfy. It is in city center. There is a lake and most popular cafes very near it. The hotel has a restaurant and a bar too.

Was no breakfast in the morning, all the doors locked and we couldnt find staff to ask about breakfast. And no place around to have a breakfast.

Main street was under construction. Room for three had two tea cups.
Mostly everything. Great beds, greath bathroom. All clean and fresh. Good location. Plenty of room.

To start the registration was empty the whole time we were there. We had problems with the key card, as we had to use it several times at a time to get into the room. The room was small and came with 2 packs of tea and one pack of coffee for two people for one night stay. The shower working although broken, the water was not running from the top head.
We stayed in the room that had two double beds that were pushed closely together. Which we have enjoyed. TV was in the room with regular programs without Netflix.

The room was cold, heating system was very bad. Bathroom & toilet was so cold. i will not come this place next time.

We stayed in penthouse apartment. It should be mentioned that this apartment does not have kitchen, only mini fridge in room. Loads of beds in the room. Not recommend for families traveling with kids. Shower was very uncomfortable, stairs leading to apartment - huge live or die walk :D penthouse is truly not family or children friendly. It is attic apartment so people who are 80cm plus be ready to walk only on one side of room. We booked 2 nights, left after one - the apartment is described really weird in this accommodation. PS carpet in room - really nasty - get a slippers to stay there.

There is no jacuzzi as show in the pictures if you want jacuzzi you need to book seperate so... a little misleading pictures. No worth the price i paid...

Restaurant stopped serving food at 19:00 and spa was unavailable which was a main reason for booking along with the restaurant

Super noisy room! Party outside all the time! Someone tried to get in at night! Not suitable with kids! Or trolleys or wheelchair. So many steps. Staff not helpful and forgetful, asked about spa - administrator was not sure about price and never got back to me about it. Waiter at restaurant forgot half order and never said sorry about it.
Nice design, comfy bed.

Bad wifi (slow connection and constantly disappears), no AC (I specifically rent places with AC and it's not even connected, was suggested to use a fan which doesn't even have a plug and was expected to plug cut exposed wires into wall socket), bad soundproofing (noise from other rooms and restaurant, loud motorcycles and cars, church with bells), expensive for that you get, smells from the kitchen
Was allowed to park in private yard/restaurant, OK bed, has kettle, OK location, OK TV, good receptionist (the only reason this booking got any stars, because she tried to help as much as she could but can't do much then owners don't care)
