How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Far away from the center and all the main attractions, in pictures studio looked better than in reality, we didn't know if we could drink water from the tap.
The studio was clean and cozy. The bedding was soft, tidy and comfortable. We had coffee and a kettle in our, room, and the fridge.

We enjoyed our stay in Nida. The property was clean, and the host was very helpful. It offers all the basics needed for a short stay. The property is located within walking distance to the lagoon, however, if you want to go to the main beach or city centre you will need to use a car, it's about a 5 min drive so not far at all. Overall, we had everything we needed and thoroughly enjoyed our time in Nida!

The fridge is very very small and the toilet does not have a lock.

Nice cozy room, filled with natural light. Really liked the small set of cutlery including cups, glasses, tools, there was even welcome packet of coffee and creamer for morning coffee.

I would suggest this apartment for a shorter stay. The walls are thin and the ventilation is poor, meaning that in order to dry towels or get a breeze of fresh air you need to keep your windows open for a while and as there are more guests living in different rooms it gets quite noisy even from a regular chatter. Everything is great and I would definitely stay here again, but for not longer than 3-4 nights, as in the long term the sounds would annoy.
Calm and beautiful location further from the city. The room had enough space and was clean. Great price and value ratio. You can rent bikes from the host, also there is a bike lane nearby where you can see beautiful sights. The host is very friendly and accommodating.

Great, welcoming, kind host, beautiful and quiet location, no problem with finding a free parking spot (we stayed here for a night out of season). Sea just 2 min away. Very comfortable bed! :) Our recommendations.

In reality the accomodation was not quite as smart as the pictures portray, so expectation was not quite met in that regard. It was not a big ptoblem for us, but with quite a few apartments close to each other, happy children and late night returns could be noisy at times.
Reception was very friendly and helpful tips given. Bikes were available at a much better rate than you get in the village. Facilities were just what is needed if not much time is spent in accomodation. A small fridge, mini kitchenette, microwave and hot plate. Position is close enough to village and with bikes, perfect. There is also a tennis court right next door.

A lot of noise from pedestrian street till 3 a.m.Very loud music.
Very nice and modern hostel.Located on the pedestrian street. Close to the beach.All around the restaurants and other entertainments.Live music in restaurants and youth bands on the pedestrian street. Behind the house big amusement park for kids.

Very small room with just enough space to turn around. Had to wash dishes in a hand basin. 2km distance to jobs.
Excellent beds and free parking were very much appreciated. Perfect place if you need just a place to sleep. The host communicated very well in German. He was helpful and responsive.
