The place can be quite dark. Luckily, it was generally sunny when I was there, so it was okay, but in winter I assume it is quite dark..

The owner is lovely and I came to enjoy the uniqueness of the place. I am having to do some work during this trip and there was a desk by a window. An easy walk to Old Town.

There´s could be really cold in some days, if it is, do not hesitate to ask for electronic heater from the lady.

Vintage, spacious appartment in good location with free parking inside the inner block. Carefully look at the pictures, it´s exactly like on visit of your grandma. :) It´s may not be for everyone, but we were ok with it.

Not the cleanest bathroom and a lot of dusty/old onions and spices in the kitchen.

The apartment was easy to reach from the coach station, someone greeted us and there were city maps available in the apartment. It was lovely and quiet, the bed was comfortable, and the rain shower was fun! Lots of space for two people.

The place was perfect for two nights, but it's very small and narrow so I wouldn't recommend it for longer stays.

The place is very central and walking distance from the old town. Self check in makes it easier too cause the time you arrive doesn't matter. The host was also super nice and easy to communicate with. And no stairs - bonus!

- The property is ground floor. This should be clearly stated in the description, to manage the expectations. This creates the situation where you need to take the blinds down most of the time and you feel like in windowless place. Maybe it is fine for couple of nights and for a proper price, but it should be told in advance. [Internal lights are fine, very bright and nice] - Property can benefit from a throughout cleaning and some refurb/change of carpets. All the important bits like shower, sinks, surfaces and sheets are clean, but generally the property should be cleaned deeply once in a while in addition to basic cleanup and hoovering. So bottom line - it is "working" property. Keep in mind a ground floor and it is fine for the right price.

Good location in terms of proximity to the centre and the promenade. Bright lights inside, big TV, nice mirrors here and there, good pressure of water etc.

Not far from the old town, owner was nice and helpful, all the necessary kitchen, bathroom and household items for even a longer stay, 2 TV's with lots of programs, enough space through out this 2 floor flat for several people to stay. It's quote narrow, but cozy.

Its a joke, not a two bedroom flat as described. Two storey warehouse or some security place or something originally, where someone put couple beds and old damp furniture. Smells damp a lot , place never cleaned, even owner tried to ask money for parking in back yard, which is free!!! Avoid this place in big way! Message to owner: this place needs proper refurbishment to meet description, please do that, or withdraw from booking platform.

The apartment is comfortable, cozy and quiet, despite location very close to the city center. It is well equipped with everything one might need during a stay, including a washing machine. The hostess is very kind, and the price to quality ratio is outstanding.

The apartment would need throughout cleaning. Also funny smell at the apartment. Some heating would have been nice.

The aparment was easy to reach from the old town with a tram or Bolt. The apartment was situated at he ground floor (2 stages),which was nice.

Unfortunately the owner's English is quite limited. Once she arrived at the apartment, communication was ok, although I found it quite hard to communicate over the telephone, as unfortunately I don't speak any Latvian. The heating and hot water seemed to come on weakly and irregularly (not sure if it was working properly). The air in the appartment seemed as though a previous occupant had smoked in the appartment. This may have been a long time ago but we felt the need to air the place thourghly every time we came in. So together with that and the heating problems it was quite cold and I didn't risk taking a shower due to the hot water situation. The appartment is also quite dark. It was fine for two nights, sleeping with three blankets, but I wouldn't want to stay there for longer. This was mid October.

The owner of the appartment is very friendly and clearly wants you to have a nice stay. The place was very clean, only some dishes and cooking utensils hadn't been washed that thourghly by the previous users. The kitchen has an electric hob with two rings and is well equipped with everything you need. It's a very nice 10 minutes walk from the city centre. :)

- The apartment is extremely dark, you can't function there without turning on the lights even during the day - the smell - absolutely horrible smell dampness/mould, not sure, but it was very powerful and really disturbing. You could get used to it after 10-15 minutes, but every time after coming back to the place it hit with the same strength - dampness and humidity - after 24h the towels were still wet - unbelievable cold - it was extremely cold, to the point were I had to wear a jacket all the time in the apartment. As it was only September, the heating wasn't working yet, so I couldn't do much about it. The funny thing is that it was quite warm outside, T-Shirt weather, but the apartment stayed extremely cold. There is one electric heater downstairs, but we were worried to leave it on when we were leaving the apartment, as it produced weird smell. In bed, even under two douvets, I was shaking with cold. - just a tiny drawbackspoken instructions via a phone call on how to get to the apartment rather than written ones. This is the first time I've experienced something like that and it made things a bit more difficult for us. - there is no shop within 5 minutes walk

It is a real home, in a very quiet area near embassies, very clean and furnished. Gaida, the host, can resolve any issue but there were no issues. She answered my calls at almost midnight when I was trying to enter after a delayed flight to Riga.

20 minutes from old Riga and any shopping facilities. Cold during the night, but had few spare duvets were in the wardrobe ( I have used 2 extra to feel comfortable).

The hostess was very friendly lady. The property is about 20 minutes walk from old Riga, where main facilities and shopping centres located. However, the area is quite and lovely buildings around as well as 2 parks. Very hard to orientate oneself to public transportation as well as figure out how to pay for a fare.

A really nice apartment situated near to the old town, allowing for walks to central station (25min) and main city attractions. A bit old fashioned but this agreed with Riga's old town image and added to the charm of the trip. The Lady running this is really helpful. Wifi working well. Apartment well equipped
