Hotel Rixwell Elefant exceeded all expectations. The breakfast was excellent, offering a wide variety of options. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, providing excellent service throughout my stay. Additionally, the hotel's location is convenient for accessing Riga's attractions. Overall, a fantastic experience. Highly recommended.

Double bed had two single blankets, felt a bit strange and uncomfortable. We went to have a dinner around 21:30. It was nice and quiet until a bunch of people arrived with kids. As kids were left on their own, running and screaming around while adults were at a round table discussing something and not even bothered to pay attention to their kids’ behaviour. At some point it was so loud, that we couldn’t enjoy the rest of our dinner. Some couple even asked them to manage their kids as they couldn’t even hear each other while they were chatting and enjoying their drinks at the bar. And they ended up just taking their bottle of wine and going to their room… In my opinion, such behaviour should have been addressed by staff right away. People come to the restaurant in evenings to relax, enjoy their meal, drinks and nice chat, and not to suffer from screaming kids and irresponsible parents.

Good location. Interesting interior, massive elephant statue inside the hotel. Everything looked clean and neat. Beautiful view from our rooms (even though it wasn’t a view of old town or anything, but massive windows/glass wall did the job. We were on the 5th floor, and we absolutely loved it.). Beds were comfortable. Dinner in the restaurant was really good. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Air con was working fine, but also could leave glass doors/windows open for fresh air, but might get a bit noisy, as there is quite busy road near the hotel especially in mornings, but that’s were the air con is the saver. There is a free public car park, but might get busy during workdays. Also, there is massive shopping centre in 5 minute drive. 👌

Breakfast staff was cold and rude and we were told at the check in that breakfast started at seven (which it did at least on one of the mornings we needed an early breakfast) but on the last morning (monday morning) we came down at 7 and were told it starts at 7:30... even though the poster with breakfast hours said otherwise... so that did have effect on otherwise great stay

As it was extraordinary hot day, unfortunately it was impossible to switch on AC. So room quite hot. I kept window opened, but it did not help

Nothing. It was a very good experience

We're Americans visiting just the night so we didn't know where anything was. The people at the desk were so helpful in showing us how to get a Bolt car to take us where we needed. They were also very helpful with getting a Bolt for early morning trip to the airport. We would stay here again and would recommend it to others.
