The air conditioning in our room wasn't working properly. It didn't cool or dry the air. Also you could hear the fan outside.

Location of the property was really good. It was not busy, so we enjoyed a lot of privat time on the whole property, in the spa and also had quiet breakfasts. Surrounding nature was really beautiful as welcomed us with extreme thunderstorm on 1st night.

The only issue and this would be specific to room 4 is that it shares a wall with the toilets in reception/activity centre so if you're planning on having a nap during the day you're going to hear the toilet doors and flushing frequently. Access to these toilets closes at 8pm so thankfully there is no disturbance during the night.

The hotel had a nice alpine lodge feel to it, very cosy with a vat theme which we loved. The beds were very comfortable and there are extra pillows in the wardrobe. Shower was perfect, hot and powerful. The location is very convenient by car it's only a few minutes to the centre of Sigulda and the mall (sokolade) and cinema (Lora) is very close. Breakfast was nice, but we only stayed one night so didn't get a chance to try the restaurant on site nor try the Mezakakis climbing course through the trees. The view from the hotel grounds is amazing. We would like to come back in winter.

The view is amazing! The staff were friendly too. Also, pet friendly so our dog was not restricted to our room only. The sheets were a little wet(but its a sign that they were washed, isnt it:))))) The room was very clean, there was some tea and even some candy!!! All in all a very pleasant experience!

Everything was amazing starting with the house and the view to Gauja. The breakfast was very delicious. Room was quite big and had everything that is needed. It was very clean. We left our window open for the night and there was so peaceful and quiet. We really enjoyed our stay.

The room had a weird smell & a bit worn out but nothing too bad. Breakfast was modest but OK :)

The location was absolutely beautiful. I really enjoyed the outside walks and the nice terrace of the restaurant. We extended our stay and spent the next night in a much nicer room in another building. As we were travelling with kids it was convenient as it had two separate bedrooms. There was also an obstacle/adventure park on the premises but we did not have time to try it out. PS' the restaurant had vegetarian options.

So, here are some cons: - Check in is from 16:00 till 20:00 which is quite inconvenient, to be honest. Starting from 21:00 there's no staff on site at all: they close nearly all the doors and leave (you can still enter from one entrance though) - Pillows are very uncomfortable - There's no parking for bicycles. We were allowed to keep our bicycles right inside the building but it's not feasible when say 10 guests would like to store their transport simultaneously - I know Sigulda quite well but for tourists who are visiting for the first time it would be convenient to see some information on attractions (I know that some hotels have maps for tourists). It's a very minor thing but still nice to have Having said that, I would recommend staying in Kakitis.

All in all, it's a nice place to stay for 3-4 days. Recommended if you are travelling with kids or want to do sighseeing while also having fun. Pros: - Friendly and helpful staff - Nice location (it's only 15 mins by foot from the railway station) with great views (national park is nearby) - It's clean and cozy - Fast Internet connection - You can skate/ski (in winters of course), relax in sauna - You can stay with your pet What I can't really rate: - Breakfast - On-site activities

There is no fridge in the room. If you are not an early bird, breakfast starting at 9.30 will suit you just well.

The hotel is just next to the adventure park and ski slopes. Rooms are clean and spacious, with comfortable beds. Heated floor in the bathroom (much appreciated in winter).

The room was probably smoking in past, there is this very slight smell, probably from walls. It is barely noticeable, my girlfriend did not smell it (she is not, and never was a smoker), but some people can smell it and in case of the room with this price tag, it is relevant to mention. After 8, there is no beer place in a walking distance.

The staff was very helpful, the room and the bathroom were nicely clean, the surrounding is beautiful, well reachable by car. In winter, when the slope is operating, the position is ideal.

Beds and pillows are a too hard. Breakfast was not good - small variety, coffee not very tasty.

Facilities were good, room spacious, with air conditioner. The view to the river amazing.
