Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NigeriaBathroom was a bit small.
The Manager and staff were warm, friendly, courteous, very helpful. The breakfast was a full meal and most filling, the suite was well proportioned with a very large living room.

United StatesWe ate dinner the first night in the hotel restaurant. We ordered Moroccan food and it was terrific. They also had a few local musicians playing/singing music of the culture there in Morocco. The music was nice in that it added to our cultural experience. HOWEVER, the volume on the microphone of the man singing was SO LOUD. My husband and I had to yell to one another over the small table we sat at. That’s my only complaint.
First off, the staff are incredibly friendly, kind, and helpful. There was always someone at the desk who could communicate well with us (in English), which really helps when you are so far from home. The staff was able to set up drivers/tours and help us plan our days/sight-seeing—even driving 5 hours round trip so that we could also visit Marrakesh. And that included setting up a tour there and in English. Our room was large, roomy, homey, and the bed was very comfortable. When we first arrived, the water wouldn’t turn on in our room, but they had that straightened out in 5 minutes. And I had asked if they had a fan (for white noise/sleeping) I could use. They didn’t have any fans, and yet, soon they were back with a fan. I believe they went out and bought a fan just for me. Now that’s service! And perhaps my favorite thing at this small hotel is sitting up on the mezzanine, overlooking the lobby below, eating a lovely breakfast with soft music playing in the background. (Oh, and the coffee was delicious!). Loved that atmosphere.

PortugalIt was a wonderful 4 days, since our arrival, the super attentive staff from the receptionists always ready to help us, I would love to write the names but I don't remember. I want to recommend and thank Halima for the excellent massage. Fabulous room, highly recommend. As a tour operator I recommend the Art Palace and we will be back soon. We also want to thank the restaurant staff for their kindness, always very attentive and fun.

United StatesThe art theme is a little undercooked, and some of the decor is pretty dated/cheesy. If you're looking for traditional Moroccan anything, this is not the place - it's mostly just normal modern hotel rooms with a little extra art and some offbeat furniture selections. The bar/restaurant was totally empty every time I checked, and kept in almost complete darkness. very weird vibes, though the food was good. Cleaning staff came by a bit too early and came back a few times to check on various things in the suite, so I'd suggest using the "do not disturb" hanger if you plan on having some privacy.
Great location for my first visit to the city, with most major tourist sights within a half-hour walk, and the hotel was easy to find and to direct taxis to. The room/suite was clean and comfortable, with good sound isolation, water pressure/temp controls, working AC, etc. The art theme added a little extra touch, but it was mostly just a decent hotel room (though I'd only think 3 stars in US or EU). I ate at the bar/restaurant one night and though it was completely empty and the service somewhat slow the food and cocktails were really excellent and I was glad to find a few foreign beers on the menu. I also used the pool in the basement for a dip - it is heated, but is small and doesn't really have a spot to just lounge around, maybe better for short laps. I had a hammam scrub and massage at the spa as well - the facilities were clean and the staff friendly and professional and made it a really easy and pleasant experience (only my second time trying the Morocco style bath). Spa prices seemed reasonable but I didn't really shop around. I can definitely recommend staying here if you want a clean and comfortable modern room and a spa on-site.

United StatesThe only thing I can think of is that on the first day, they had just finished applying lacquer to the wood trim in the hallway and the smell was overwhelming but other than that nothing really.
The people were very nice and friendly. Breakfast was amazing and the bar had everything we needed. The spa was convenient and nice. We didn't have any problems whatsoever.
