Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesBetter connection in room Not as beautifully decorated as other places we stayed
Room was very quiet and comfortable. Bathroom looked brand new like it may have been remodeled recently with plenty of hot water. The location was great with a few minute walk to the Oasis. Staff was kind. Recommend you know French to truly enjoy.

Greeceas in all places we stayed, there is no place to put your clothes if you opt for a longer stay. this was not a problem for us though. the dinner was a bit expeditive; we would have loved to chill a bit but it looked like there was a timer ticking :) A little minus only for the pillow cases which were all spotty despite the room being extra clean.
the pictures don’t do justice to the room.. very comfortable with a wide bathroom! all are located around a beautiful little court within Fint village which we loved for it’s so friendly inhabitants and true local colors. the road was accessible with a normal car without any issues. The staff is absolutely lovely and helpful while we had a great couscous for dinner.

United KingdomEverything - we had such a terrific star. This was probably the highlight of our entire trip. The staff were just exceptional and so welcoming. The rooms were great. The food was delicious. The location is absolutely perfect. We would go back in a heartbeat, if the opportunity arises. The road is accessible by regular car, but agree that it’s best to arrive during daylight the first time.

United StatesKeep in mind that the road is unpaved - any car should handle it.
Everything about our stay exceeded expectations. We received a warm welcome from the staff and were greeted with tea. The room itself was spacious and heated. Dinner was incredible - the best couscous, soup, and bread we’ve had on the trip. We enjoyed live Berber music and singing, even participating ourselves. The location is beautiful and peaceful. Our host noticed we had a flat tire as we were driving away in the morning and stopped us. He immediately brought out a compressor to fill up the tire, called his friend, and led us to a tire shop in the city 15 minutes away. What could have been a big problem for us became a minor inconvenience due to his hospitality.

I never experienced this level of hospitality in my life. The family is very friendly and welcoming and they do everything to make give you an unforgettable stay. The food is delicious. In the morning you can watch the traditonal baking of the bread in a stone oven. The surroundings are stunning, this is an absolute must-visit.

AustraliaWe liked the village of Fint. Fint is an oasis that has a river with crystal clear water, in which we could see wild fish in abundance. We could see a lot of wild tortoises swimming in the river. We could see various colourful toads. Lovers of wildlife will definitely enjoy seeing tortoises, fish, toads in water. In general, the village was tranquil and unique. Upon arrival, we given tea and nuts free of charge. The dinner was excellent; we were given free water. There was a live music performance at the accommodation in the evening, during which eight local residents were playing various musical instruments — djembe and banjo. Rachid lighted some wood and started a cosy fire in the dining room. I can see that some previous guests complained that there is 3 kilometres of unpaved and bumpy road. However, we did not find the road to be a problem at all — for rural Morocco the road was perfectly adequate.

SpainOur stay at Maison d'Hôte La Roche Noire was nothing short of extraordinary. Nestled in the Fint Oasis, this hidden gem is reached after a scenic drive through the mountainous desert surrounding Ouarzazate. A narrow road leads you to this oasis, a lush green haven that feels like a world away. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by Rashid, who welcomed us with traditional tea shared alongside his delightful family. The hospitality extended beyond our expectations. We had the privilege of dining in the main building, complete with a fireplace and various musical instruments, as the owners themselves are musicians. It added a unique touch to our evening. Breakfast was a generous spread, and we were treated to the fascinating sight of bread being baked in the facility's traditional oven in the morning. Following Rashid's recommendation, we explored the oasis in the morning, following the stream that runs through the entire village. It offered a glimpse into the diverse agricultural and work activities of the community. Our room, situated in a small riad, was spacious and provided a comfortable retreat. The attention to detail in both the accommodations and the overall experience was evident. Maison d'Hôte La Roche Noire is not just a place to stay; it's a captivating journey into the heart of the Fint Oasis, where nature, tradition, and warm hospitality converge. Rashid and his family made our stay unforgettable, and we look forward to returning to this tranquil retreat in the future.

GermanyOur stay at La Roche Noire was truly awesome! Fint Oasis is such a peaceful place and it’s worth it to spend two nights to have enough time to wander around and enjoy the lush green river and the surrounding mountains. The rooms are simple but clean (+ AC) and the food is delicious. Rachid and his family are super welcoming and friendly. They were also helping us to organize transport from and to Ouarzazate - plus when we forgot something at the Oasis they managed to bring it to us within 1h and saved us a whole day of traveling. Thanks a lot for the great time and your help! (:

PortugalThe route to the oasis could not prepare us for the beauty of this pace and its people. The family receiving us was not only very friendly but also showed us with impeccable hospitality. The food was homemade and tasted perfect. It is possible to walk to the oasis itself, see the sunset and the sunrise… Well, it is no five star hotel, but it was exactly the kind of place we were looking for

United StatesLook up Auberge La Roche Noire on Google maps to find the correct location. Driving in at night was a little tricky! Wifi only works in the main dining room. Breakfast did not include eggs.
Small Berber village not too far from Ouarzazete; pickup can be arranged if you don't have a car. Warm and friendly family, indoor and outdoor dining areas, nice rooms in converted traditional home. Bathroom is beautifully tiled, solar heated water for showers. The nearby oasis stream was beautiful and the surrounding mountains would have been perfect for a day hike if we had more time. Recommend staying at least 2 nights to enjoy the natural beauty.
