How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

There wasn't a safe in the room, nor was there a washing machine. We ended up keeping our laundry for when we went back to Marrakesh.
Great value for the money. The inside of the hotel is pretty and cool in the heat. We didn't spend a lot of time in the hotel but it is a good place to visit Ait Ben Haddour and the Atlas studios. The staff helped arrange taxis.

Great value at £31 for the night for two people. The guy at the front desk Walid was very polite and helpful and helped us with directions for places etc. Room was clean and shower worked well. Bed was a little hard but that seems the thing in Morocco as beds everywhere were a little harder than I'm used to.10 min walk from the main square. We could possibly have stayed closer to the centre but it would have cost more i think

The fact that they did not clean our room. We went puy at morning and when we came back. the room was in the same conditions

Bathroom was little broken and old, hotel was empty, rooftop could use more furniture
The receptionist (Mohammed? ) was really friendly and helped us with every question we had, the hotel was quite empty, bed was really comfy, rooftop with a nice view

The shower did not have a curtain or anything around it which made our showers very splashy.
Smooth check-in process, nice room, and good location. Breakfast was not available in this hotel during Ramadan, which was fine. Mohammed was really helpful, polite, and professional, so I'd like to give him a special shout-out.

There was instant coffee and tea pods on the table - but no electric kettle. That I found funny. Other than that nothing really stood out. Bathroom was clean so I was happy
For the price it was a decent Hotel in a okay location Overall nothing special but also it wasn't bad. So cant really complain

Mohammed greeted us and was very friendly. We only stayed one night as another hotel had cancelled but should have booked this place first time round! The location was convenient, friendly staff and comfy bed.

Nothing really. Perhaps a comfier pillow would have been good but that’s just me trying to come up with something.
The inside of the building is beautiful and very clean. The staff, particularly Walhid are very friendly and welcoming.

My room was close to a very busy road, there was no food provided at the hotel. The hotel advertised rooms with breakfast. There is no breakfast! There is no catering at this hotel whatsoever! The photos show a roof terrace with tables!
The staff were very helpful, particularly Walid who kindly let me check in early and the cleaner who kindly had the room ready 2 hours early for me! The hotel is centrally located in Ouarzazate.

No remote for TV or air con. Had trouble opening/ closing the window.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Loved the authentic decor it felt calm and relaxing. Fairly close to everything that's needed for a pleasant stay. Comfortable bed and bedding. Peaceful nights sleep. Plenty of toilet paper.

In an excellent place, close to everything but still calm. We were greeted by Walid, who gave us some tea, and was there all the time to help us with everything we needed. He was lovely and extremly helpful! Hotel is very clean, and comfortable. We had a great stay!
