Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaThe campsite is outside Ouarzazate, but unfortunately the last 2 km to it are on a terribly rough and unpaved road! If you get there by regular car, I advise you to drive slowly and watch out for potholes.
Our room was in a detached building. It was very simple but large and clean. Ensuite washroom was also huge and basic. The bed was comfortable and I slept very well. As it's located outside the city, it is very quiet. Breakfast was typical Moroccan (jams, bread, coffee, one crape, one boiled egg) and tasted good. The property is also a campsite. The owner was kind and friendly.

GermanyIt gets surprisingly chilly at night, and the "tent" has no heating, but there were plenty of cosy blankets. Unfortunately, I couldn't take a hot shower in the morning to warm up because the water only runs barely lukewarm (this might be different in the communal showers though). While the place is secluded, it was pretty noisy until after midnight because other guests were outside talking quite loudly -- there should be a house rule against noise in the yard after a certain time. It's not the easiest to find, but Google Maps is accurate if you have internet, or the locals will know as well.
The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is relaxed and safe. The "tent" is actually a building decorated tent-style, it's spacious and authentic. If you're a cat person, you'll like that there are cats on the property. The facilities are basic, as is to be expected in this price range, but nothing is broken or dirty. The breakfast is not hugely varied, but it is a buffet. The property is large, secluded, and exudes a family charm. For a one- or two-night stay, this is very good value for money.

GermanyIt was pretty cold during our stay there, so the owner gave us additional blankets.
On our arrival we were already surprised by the coziness of this place. The rooms have nice ornaments and the owner gave us a room with a private bathroom even though we didn’t book this. The service and cooking by the employees was very lovely and tasteful. They adapted the time for dinner to our plans and recommended many good places to visit. The surrounding area itself is worth it staying there several days.

NetherlandsHost is very kind!! He made a reservation at a local hammam for us, upgraded our room, and when we asked for a little bread in the afternoon because we were hungry, we received a plate with bread, cheese and jam. Great service! It’s easy to find via google maps, very good atmosphere and good breakfast. Recommendation!

United StatesExceptionally welcoming host, very charismatic and social - checking in on your needs constantly. Also helped to arrange taxis into town and a tour to Aït Benhaddou. As a solo female traveller, I felt very safe and looked after. For those saying that the food is expensive - I think it was very fairly priced for the large portions you receive. Delicious as well!

United KingdomAs a group of four, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Despite arriving past the check-in time while driving from Marrakech, we messaged the host about the delay. Fortunately, there was no issue, and they patiently waited for our arrival at midnight. The camp provides a delightful escape from the city, allowing you to enjoy peace. We would wholeheartedly recommend this place.

United KingdomNothing bad to say!
The site is in a beautiful location in the middle of the beautiful countryside. The staff were all so friendly and kind, and very helpful with any queries I had. The breakfast was a wonderful and traditional Berber breakfast and the hosts had this ready for me at the time I had requested. The reviews that give this place a bad rating are just people being a bit ignorant in my opinion. This is a campsite in the middle of the countryside/desert... if you want luxury 5* accommodation then you should be booking a stay at Savoy Le Grande in Marrakech. As far as I am concerned, the fact there was hot water, wifi, plug sockets in tents/huts and all the rest is pretty impressive considering the location! If you want to go camping in a beautiful setting, staying in weather-proof huts with all the essential amenities and food/water available then this is the place for you. The location is about a 30/40 minute walk to the main city of Ouarzazate down a dirt track; I walked this alone both in daylight and in the dark in the evening and felt perfectly safe both times - at night I passed no-one; during the day I passed lots of friendly locals and farmers who greeted me and smiled. The hosts offer shuttle/taxi services if requested, and I also believe they offer bike rental (I can't 100% confirm this though!). Can't wait to stay again! Thanks for your amazing hospitality! :)

it was a really beautiful place and peaceful property. They also have peacocks and cats walking around freely which only makes the experience better! The staff was super welcoming and warm. I got sick during my stay and they gave my friend a ride for her to buy medication. They also cooked rice for me to help me feel better. Highly recommend the place, I’d go again anytime!
