Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GreeceDo not miss the opportunity to be a part of this amazing luxury desert camp! If you are an adventurer, this is not to be missed while in the region! Meals and undivided attention are second to none and sleeping under the stars in the Sahara is beyond description! Mohamed is the inspiring and highly knowledgeable operator of the camp and his staff are all of the highest quality, dedicated to making sure your experience will never be forgotten! Take the “slow road” to the camp, via camel, and have your breath taken away at the expansiveness of the great Sahara. Watch the sun drop, along with its warmth, behind the dunes and venture back to base camp to enjoy great food, music and new friends before spending the night gazing into the expansive night sky that cannot be described in our limited vocabulary. Enjoy the adventure and jump in!

Spain- The electricity in the tend didn't work; - The bathroom door was difficult to close; - missing some curtain for the morning light.
The staff was perfect, lovely and friendly! They organized a music "show" after dinner and offered me the jeep trip for the comeback!!

AustriaIt is advisable to bring cash from another city since withdrawals in Merzouga are limited to Visa.
It was a small camp with an inviting private atmosphere. The staff took care for any wishes. Individual transport from and to the camp at any time and on time. Thais is a place to feel home in the middle of the desert

United KingdomWe loved every minute - it was a wonderful experience and we were so well cared for
A fantastic experience in the desert. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the camp. It certainly lived up to the photos. We got a lovely welcome. The tent was super comfortable- lovely huge bed with good quality bedding. We were very cosy when the night got a bit cooler. Shower and toilet all worked well. The staff were so lovely and friendly and eager to make sure we had a lovely experience. The evening meal was 4 courses and served to you at separate tables. It was DELICIOUS- the best meal we had in Morocco. After dinner there was traditional music and dancing around the fire pit. The staff clearly enjoyed sharing their culture with us. Definitely recommend this wonderful experience. The next morning we got up for sunset and the breakfast was served until 10am. A delicious breakfast served to us at the table. For information we went in February. We arrived at the meeting point at 4pm as arranged. We were driven to the camels by jeep - no waiting around. We had a lovely guide leading our camels. We were all in very small groups so it wasn’t a huge long train. We had 2 stops - 1 a short stop to take photos and let the camels have a rest. Our guide took photos of us and told us we could take our time. The 2nd stop was longer to wait for the sunset - about 1 hour - so take a nice drink to enjoy while you soak up the atmosphere and watch the sunset. The guide pointed out some places to watch from so you could have have some solitude. It was a wonderful experience. After the sunset it got a bit colder so it might be a good idea to have a sweatshirt. It was a bit more of a ride to the camp and we arrived around 7.30. I guess this depends on the time of the sunset. We were greeted with welcome tea and snacks. We had a bit of time in the tent and to sit outside before dinner. It was all quite flexible. The next day we could choose what time to go back by camel or jeep. The jeep took about 15 minutes.

BelgiumIf you still want to find some negative points: no wine or other alcohol served with dinner, only water and tea, and no possibility to drive buggies (or maybe we were not aware of it).
It was incredibly challenging for my boyfriend and I to find a hotel for our desert overnight stay. Hundreds of options, all 'well' rated, but some with very few reviews, and everything seemed very similar. Eventually, it turns out we made the perfect choice! Very friendly staff, social and open to questions about the culture, etc. We enjoyed making music around the campfire, had SUPER delicious food!! Even though it got very cold outside at night, we didn't feel it in the tent (lots of blankets, and we were too warm ourselves!). Highly recommended for both families and couples. Normally, we don't write reviews, but since we found the search ourselves so challenging and the staff was so friendly, we decided to do so.

SwitzerlandWe were extremely surprised by the quality of food and service on the first day. The second day, the food was mostly the same and the different dishes on the second day weren't so well made. But I understand it has to be difficult with supplies on the desert. That was the only small thing we weren't satisfied with... Recommend booking 👌🏼
Amazing experience overall...

JapanNothing. Just the communication about parking and camel riding logistic wasn’t clear prior to arrival. Needed a few back and forth messaging to get clear picture of what was the deal. If all written clearly in the information (CASH only) would have been better.
Everything was very well done and wonderful! Thanks Mohamed x2!

NetherlandsThe riad is best reached by camel: an impressive 1.5 hour trip through the desert featuring a lovely view of the sunset. The tents are very cosy and well equipped, and the dinner was one of the best we enjoyed during our stay in Marocco. The staff is very friendly and performed traditional music around the campfire under a starry night. I highly recommend this camp to anyone planning to visit Merzouga.

PolandWe have spent two luxury nights in the camp and truly recommend that place. We took jeep transfer from parking to the camp (60€ in total, not included in the booked price). Breakfasts and dinners served were substantial and delicious. Every evening they organized the camfire with the Berber music and traditional drums playing. There are also some activities available as camels or jeep tours. It is worth mentioning that the service is just great and on a very high level. Thank you to great staff that was very helpful at all times, especially Mohamed.

NetherlandsUnfortunately there is only one sand board available to use for free in the camping and the jeep ride to go and come back from the camping might be a bit too expensive which it something that all the campings do and have for the same price.
This has been one of the greatest experiences I have done in my life and this couldn’t have happened without the amazing camping staff! We asked if it was possible for us to checkin earlier and the request was accepted without hesitation. Once arrived we have been welcomed with some moroccan tea and pastry and they listed us the activities available. We opted for a quad ride over the day and a camel ride by sunset and everything has been arranged very fast! Both activities were really good and we had a lot of fun. The room was very big with a very nice big and comfortable bed! We had dinner in the camping which was above and beyond our expectations, it was excellent! Same goes for the breakfast! The location of the camping is right in front of the biggest dunes of all Sahara which made it even better! Last but not least after dinner we have been delighted with some typical berber music around a fire pit. We danced, played some music with them and drink some tea till late night! It was absolutely amazing.

CanadaThe overall value is good, the only more expensive part that they did not confirm ahead of time was the 50 Euros for the transport to and from the camp (for 4 of us). Also, it was not clear where we were supposed to meet to get the transport to the camp. Luckily I had Whatapp and they messaged me just before we arrived to give us the exact location.
This was the highlight of our stay. Such a beautiful camp and the sunset camel ride was so fun and just a really cool experience. There was also a board available so we did some sandboarding. The dinner - which is included in the price was over the top good - creative food choices and combinations. We also got tea and great snacks when we arrived and before dinner with other travelers - a nice chance to chat with other campers. After dinner, there was a bonfire and the staff played music and sang for us. We all danced a bit and celebrated the Moroccan way.
