Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

DenmarkFood could have been in larger quantities (for those who kite). More wind shielded areas on the terrasse would be welcome.

FranceNothing. Room for improvement: we thought there could be tea and coffee available throughout the day.
My friend and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Caravan Hotel in Dakhla, and I must say, it exceeded all expectations! The food was a highlight, the flexibility with meal times (breakfast until 11am, lunch until 5pm) allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the leisurely pace of our vacation, savoring every moment without worrying about the clock. The complimentary morning yoga sessions were an absolute delight, providing the perfect start to our days. Not only were they rejuvenating for the body and mind, but they also helped us connect with the serene beauty of Dakhla in a deeply meaningful way. Thank you Laura! Of course, no review would be complete without mentioning the impeccable service provided by the staff. Their dedication to ensuring our comfort and satisfaction was evident in every interaction, making us feel truly valued as guests. As for the hotel itself, it exuded an air of luxury that enhanced our experience at every turn. From the elegant decor to the thoughtful amenities, every detail was carefully curated to create a sense of indulgence and relaxation. Overall, our stay at the Caravan Hotel was nothing short of magical. We left feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and already planning our next visit. In fact, we're seriously considering staying at another location in the Caravan Hotel chain for our next holiday – that's how much we loved it! If you're looking for a truly exceptional experience in Dakhla, look no further than the Caravan by Habitas hotel. You won't be disappointed!

United KingdomItems missing from drinks and food menu. Pool was very cold (too cold to swim). Just an fyi - restaurant is predominantly French-speaking. Service is good but not as slick as 5-star Habitas offering. No surf rental on site.
Great menu and food. Beautiful design like all Habitas hotels/rooms and very warm welcome on arrival. On lagoon and you can overland to the surf beach.

NetherlandsLow occupancy during our visit, mattress was a bit hard, limited bar choices available.
Excellent service by the staff, great fresh food. Girlfriend broke her foot and staff went out of the their way to arrange medical care and supplies, managed to give a personal touch.

Saudi ArabiaNothing that I didn’t like, however, having windows in the room (We stayed in the Oasis room) that we could open would be beneficial to improve air circulation and improve cooling in case it gets too warm and stuff in the room. The fresh juices on the menu were not available during our stay.
Everything was great from the guest services, food, and room and facilities. Mahfoud and Khalil at reception were great hosts along with Khalil and his team at F&B and Khalid and his crew at the Kite school. They all immediately made us feel like it was our home.

United StatesNothing of note.
Excellent facilities and attentive staff, as it was a fairly new hotel everything was kept clean and tidy. Kite school staff were excellent in helping to get you set up and in/out the water, even repaired one of our damaged Boards.

BelgiumLocation a bit far from the city centre which is ok but transportation from the hotel is quite expensive.
Amazing personnel! They made us feel very comfortable and welcome. Nothing was too much to ask! Very nice and relaxed vibe around the hotel and nice, spacious and clean communal area and room. Amazing and fresh food in the restaurant with a good variety and portions.

IrelandThe staff make the place! It feels like a home away from home. Bilal and the rest of the team were warm, friendly, helpful and funny. We had a very nice time because they made sure everything was perfect! Samy and his kite team are incredible and really pushed this above ⬆️ our expectations! When you break up your day between lessons, meals and pool time time just flies when you’re having a good time! The chef and his kitchen staff create magic! As a foodie the idea of full board hotel scares me — but do not worry. The food is a la carte and you can choose from a variety of incredible meals. The chef build an amazing menu with daily additions depending on what fish was caught! The fresh oysters and ceviche were unparalleled!! Lots of activities keep the days / evenings fun like family dinners, Pétanque tournament, movie night, card games really made it feel much more like a community than “a hotel stay”!

FranceThe music in the public area sometimes are too load, will be nice if keep clam in some moments. A bit too much flys in the restaurant. The management lever should be improved, English communication is a bit difficult over there, in the last day I leave, it was very early in the morning, I asked for a breakfast take away the day before, seems it’s prepared, but in the morning I leave, no one can find the take away breakfast.
It was really a excellent experience stay over there, bueatiful location, the room is big, clean and super chic, well styled and charming, very nice and delicious food, the staff are super warm, friendly.

Francethe staff were amazing and genuinely kind. I have been fortunate enough to travel a lot in my life and feel comfortable to say that the hospitality that I had experienced in Caravan is truly unique and memorable to the point where I was tempted to cancel all the rest of my traveling plans and extend my stay. I just felt home.

United KingdomThe location on Booking.com is inaccurate, it's a much better location if you look at the hotel on Google Maps! I suspect this is costing the hotel and we asked them to change it to reflect this positive fact, so for those looking do check out the Google Maps location which is more accurate. It's a great location and right on the top of the lagoon for those who kite!
We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful property in Dakhla. First of all it was great value for money vs other resorts - the rooms were very spacious and clean. The decor and views were super, and service was excellent. The front desk has a WhatsApp chat and Mahfouz + Khalil (and Hussein the night guard) were always super helpful whenever we needed anything. The restaurant was excellent: you don't get one of these mass buffets but rather an a la carte full-board experience with delicious dishes and juices. Bravo chef! Important: we are kitesurfers. The school is very well equipped with a great team. They have Naish gear and the beach is just a short walk but the guys always drove us in their car and helped us setup our kites + launch (even though we did not rent and had our own gear). Samy + Omar + Sarah and Oussama you guys are the best, thank you! Some people can get put off by the fact that there is a road crossing, but it's honestly so minor. Like I said, you are driven there and back. You just need to be organized about when you want to go so the school can help you. The school has storage facilities and areas for kite gear - FYI.

FranceThe list is long: -Staff: rude, slow and lots of attitude. Takes 45 min to get anything at least. Barman cocktails are awful -Kitchen: Lack of variety, no fresh juice in the morning, many dishes weren’t available -Hotel Maintenance: lightbulbs not working, paint falling off on some walls, bad finishing on the floor inside the rooms, no lights outside for the bath, outside bath isn’t cleaned, cockroaches, curtains don’t close properly -Lack of equipment: No hairdryer -Other activities: Very expensive to do anything
Great view upon the sand dunes (although there’s a busy road in front of the hotel which you cannot see on the pictures) Well located for kite surfers Yoga classes were great ! Friendly animals
