Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The shower was also nicer than many others we experienced. The place was located at a good spot, not a lot of noice but still central, and the neighbours were also friendly and helpful.

United KingdomMy worst booking.com experience to date and the only negative review I’ve written. I booked for 3 nights and left after the 1st. The host got incredibly drunk and stayed up all night playing music, shouting, spitting, mumbling, smoking, taking phone calls and overall acting very emotional. As I was on the first floor I heard everything and did not sleep. As an Englishman I know an angry drunk so I did not want to confront him during the night. I don’t think the host is a bad person but this behaviour is unacceptable. I tried to contact the him the next day to resolve things but he claimed that I never showed up so I was unable to communicate further / leave a review. Only now since complaining have I been able to do so. This is a warning to future travellers. I saw a similar comment previously about his behaviour so it’s not the first time.
The cleaning lady was very sweet. The only positive.

AustraliaNo bins or TV in room. No soap in bathroom. Stairs narrow and hard to get luggage upstairs. Ad mentioned kettle in room which was untrue. Owner said that booking.com made that up. So ad was misleading. Noisy neighbours. The place was very hard to locate. No signposts, not even on the main door.

CanadaVery hard to find as no sign or address on the door. Zero wifi in the upstairs room. Staff do not answer the doorbell. Ended up waiting over an hour to be let in. If the door bell doesn’t work you need to pound on the door hard to get the managers attention. He seems to be always asleep. Very synthetic sheets

United KingdomI have no dislikes about the property, it is great value for money, clean and has a helpful and friendly host.
The property is decorated with traditional Moroccan furniture. it’s very clean and tidy with clean towels and bedding. The location is great and Salah’s hospitality is fantastic. We arrived to the property late and he came to meet us and direct us to the property. Salah walked us to a restaurant serving Moroccan food to locals at great prices. We only stayed for one night as we had a late flight but plan to stay here again when next in Rabat.

AustraliaAs the owner is relatively new to this hostel finding the place can be a bit daunting. Some street signs from the main street in the medina would not go astray.
The kitchen is wow. Access to a fridge/ freezer. The bathrooms are amazing. My bedroom was great with a full sized lounge right outside. The owner is so good. Amazingly decorative and so fresh/ clean. My stays are just getting better and better. Not to be missed in Rabat.
