We had to pay 25 dh (!!) for a bottle of water in the Palmiya pool area, which is really outrageous!

Children love the slides in the Palmiya aqua park and the pools of the hotel. Animation is appropriate for the whole family. Food is okay, our children were happy about the pizza corner.

The majority of the staff are rude. They give preference to non English speaking guests l. All entertainment is french spoken. And finally, be on guard as if not, you'll more than likely be scammed.

Good selection of food throughout our stay. The room was cleaned daily.. Pool areas are spotless with plenty of sunny loungers.

Not enough towels in the bedrooms despite asking every day. Only 2 towels for 3 of us. Pool towels need cash deposit which then left us with a lot of cash to exchange-happy to pay a deposit but this needs to be by card

Rooms are very outdated and need upgrading. Bathroom was dirty and limescale mould everywhere. Needs another buffet restaurant too busy and only 2 members of staff were polite. Need more staff.

The main pool was manic! Music blaring and entertainment staff trying to get us to join in. Don’t get me wrong - we would have loved this 15 years ago when the kids were small, but not now. The great thing is that there are plenty of other areas to spend the day in the resort!

-Often difficult to find any cutlery. -Drinks machine often ran out of drinks in the lunch hall. -Check out issues: The person at desk demanded we paid for the trip when we had already been paid . He also insisted that we pay taxes again . He mumbled ‘ same old story ‘ as we tried to explain that all had been paid . He checked on screen and said nothing had been paid. Finally , we managed to find our small receipts from card machine and he proceeded to take a photo of one of the receipts . Eventually, he looked on his screen again and said he didn’t need to see the rest of the receipts. The main issue is his attitude. He was huffing and rolling his eyes throughout the whole situation and he did not apologise once he realised his mistake and that we had in fact already fully paid for 5 rooms, including taxes ! In fact , after realising his mistake , he just ushered us off , dismissing the whole situation. Also, he was also struggling to print out boarding passes and again was quite rude , waving his hands in the air and saying “ I cannot do this, you did not attach “. Again , once my partner has shown him the attached documents, he printed them off, rather dismissive and no apology . These issues may seem very minor but can really affect your stay. I think M…..d may need training on use of computer as both issues stemmed from this . I want to stress that apart from this member of staff , the rest of the team were very courteous and helpful. It’s a shame that we happen to have interacted with M…..d on the very last day !

It was hard to get the information needed. Our induction was led by such a lovely man but he spoke very quickly and I didn't realise so many things about the hotel. The sign posting isn't very obvious so it took me a day or two to work out where the toilets were by the pool, where the pizza and pancakes were served from, and what drinks we could order and from where and what time. If you speak French it will be a lot easier for you. Everyone was willing, but the language barrier did mean I was in the dark until I worked out to speak to the Entertainment Team. I also wish they covered the sweet food up when it was served outdoors because the flies were all over the jam and pancakes and it was really not pleasant. I just avoided the food that was left out like that.

POOLS There are 4 pools including 2 baby pools that are 0.4-0.6m deep. The main family pool was 1.4 - 1.6m deep so my 6 year old needed an inflatable with her in the big pool. There was also a tranquil adult only pool tucked away from the noise and with a completely different vibe, but you had to pay for drinks here, it wasn't included in all inclusive. STAFF The entertainment staff were fantastic and I ended up asking them about everything because their English was the best :) They worked so hard, encouraging everyone to do aqua aerobics by day, then doing all the shows and disco at night. I loved the community feel in the hotel. The main terrace had a DJ set up in the evening, and everyone was encouraged to dance and join in. Once that had finished you could go to their little amphitheatre (no seats, just sitting on the ledges) and watch a different show each night. The shows were in French so it was hard to understand but my daughter still enjoyed them. FOOD The food was plentiful with enough variety for my daughter to always like something. I also enjoyed the varied foods and tried different things each day so every meal wasn't the same. On top of the restaurant there was also a pizza hut serving fresh pizza and at breakfast an egg hut serving omelettes and pancakes. There was a big gap between the afternoon snack and dinner, so I advise eating a good snack so that you are not hungry for dinner. I think we got used to eating a lot on that holiday! DRINKS You had to ask for drinks, and there was no drinks menu to look at so it is worth asking lots of questions. You could have wine and beer in the daytime, and there was bottled water available too. They didn't do milkshakes so my daughter had a hot chocolate with ice and voila! Cocktails were not included in all inclusive but spirits were, but again you had to ask what was available as it wasn't obvious. The spirits were limited to just a few, like 4 types i think?
