The location waS great. The staff were great. Good value for money. Bang in the middle of medina. Not luxurious, but perfectly acceptable. I would stay again.

This is an old building and pretty charming without being fancy. It is right in the middle of everything, but not noisy.

the nights were quite loud as you can hear everything going on in the house as well as the morning prayers of the mosques in the surroundings. but maybe that's a general issue in the medina. they also don't serve breakfast which would be nice. but you can find cafés around.

old fashioned hotel in the medina of essaouira. you are actually in the middle of the old town. the price is good and i had a quite big room including private bathroom. they sell water bottles for normal market prices at the reception which made shopping a lot easier. the guys at the reception are very friendly and i could leave my luggage there after check-out.

I really just wanted a bed for the night, it was cheap price so I did not expect the best Ritz. It suited me well for the cheap price. Noise level same as you get anywhere in the Medina. No noise during sleeping hours I got a good night's sleep.

first of all , the bathroom is really close to the beds , we literally could hear the person in the toilet . secondly we were hearing the people on the next room so if people talk loud or just laugh it could bother you .

the location is really good , in the middle of the sook , the staff are really nice , we were group of 3 and we took room 8 , it contained a really nice view on the sook .

The bathroom was not soo nice, but quite okay for the standards here in this city.

I enjoyed my stay here! The location is very good, immediately in the Center of the Medina. The room was quite clean and had a big window (quite cool view as well), because of that also very good air-circulation, which is not common in this city! The staff were nice and very helpful. The women is very sweet, she would also do your laundry for little money.

The WIFI could have been better. It worked great in the common space though.

The host was very nice and helpful! He helped directly with any inquiry. Card payment was possible. The host sold water 1.5L for 50ct in the nice apartment! The room was clean. In the common room there was an TV where one could watch football.

The dampness in the room was too much. The dust from the humid ceiling was all over my bed and I had to checkout after the first night. I would not recommend staying at this damp and humid place.

There is no proper shower, it's a hose and a bucket, you can't call it a hotel in 2023 with this. The price is too high for what it is and no breakfast. Improvement possible. The rooftop also needs improvement.

I was given a very dark room. The overhead light fixture emmitted very little light, and a lamp by the nightstand didn't work. It's saving grace is that there was a window, so in the daytime there was light, but as soon as the sun went down it was extremely dim. I had to go into other empty rooms and switch out the non-working lamp for two others that worked. Once I had the two working lamps it was passable. I was a single guest and was given a room with three single beds. Fine, but these were by far the hardest, most uncomfortable beds that I slept on in a month of traveling through Morocco. Also, the shower didn't work. I had to go into the empty room across the hall to use that shower as I was told to do so by the manager. After the second night I asked the manager if I could switch rooms. There were plenty of empty rooms. The one next to mine was much nicer, with good lighting and more comfortable beds. The manager insisted that I could not switch. At that point I was going to try to find another place to stay for my final night in Essaouira, but in the end decided it was more trouble than it was worth, so I just stayed in the room for another night and got the extra lamps which made my stay in the room more comfortable as I could see better. I feel that given that I was staying three nights that the manager could have been more accommodating, especially since they had very little other business. Had he done that then I could have given the hotel a decent review despite its shortcomings. At least then, I could say that they tried to make me happy and gave me a nicer room. But no, so it is what it is. If you get a good room with comfortable beds then maybe your stay would be a good one and good value for the money, but if the room is dark with super hard beds like mine was I'd recommend you look elsewhere even if it is one of the cheapest hotels in town.

The hotel is centrally located in the middle of the old medina. It is about as cheap as you're going to find in Essaouira. The room and bathroom were clean.
