Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomDon’t like the attitude of the kite school staff. My board was damaged in the transfer - from Dakhla airport to the hotel as I checked the board when I arrived at Dakhla airport. Staff had no repair facilities whatsoever. Very poor really and just fortunate I’d brought some repair kit. Seemed like it was all a bit too much trouble to help.

SpainThe extra activities are way too expensive. For example, just going to the village was 100€ and we had to go with their guide all the time. They refused to call us an agency which would be cheaper and give us more freedom. It felt like a prison in that way.
For a kite trip it is a very good place because you have a buffet with a wide time-range schedule and kite facilities are very comfortable.

FranceI didn't like to wait 20 minutes in the shuttle for people to make their phone arrangement in a grocery store and buy food before going to the hotel ! It was a waste of my time. Expensive drinks and spa = same prices as in Paris. Refection work in the spa during my massage with lots of noises; they should have proposed me another time slot to avoid this. The main bar did not always have a menu for cocktails, and I had a strange feeling to bother the staff when asking for one. No boiler or coffee machine in the rooms.

Very nice and helpful people that make you feel comfortable and at home : you just leave your room, have something to eat and go kiting.. bungalows and rooms are very recent, clean, food is good and the beach is directly accessible from the hotel, a little piece of paradise !

NetherlandsI cannot think of something negative, maybe that the room doesn't have a fan or AC, and during the night was a bit warm, but as there is so much wind, by opening the window is fine.
Everything was perfect!! The staff is extremely nice and helpful: our luggage didnt arrive on time and they went to pick it up to the airport the day after. Also loved the food buffet, so many different options and most important quite healthy. We went there to kitesurf and the kitesurf school is right there at the beach.

United KingdomDrinks were a little expensive and not of the best quality (flat mixers). The hotel allows people who are not staying to use the facilities. There was a large group using it when we were there who were staying at a much cheaper hotel in town but then got the benefit of the hotel all day. We really did not like this as we had paid the premium to be there and they got full use of all the facilities. I understand if they want to use the kiting facilities but not the hotel, that should be for guests only. The hotel picks up your luggage from your room before going to the airport to fly home, however they forgot to pick ours up! So we arrived at the airport without our bags. We managed to get them back but only 20 minutes before our flight took off and it was very stressful. Not the best end to an otherwise brilliant holiday!
We had a brilliant stay. The food was exceptional, the room clean and comfortable and the location excellent for kiting. The food really exceeded our expectations - so much choice and all of it so fresh and delicious. There really was something for everyone. The staff are all amazing too. So friendly and welcoming - they really made the stay the best it could be for us. The kite school is superb too. Definitely the best location for kiting in the whole lagoon with plenty of space to launch / land, loads of kite storage space and a great bar that has the potential to be the perfect spot for a post kite drink (it was often not open or no one was there to serve us which was a shame but otherwise great). The lessons were excellent for all levels. We would recommend the White Dune downwinder too - an unbelievable trip and amazing kiting around the dune too. The pool is beautiful and the gym a great addition. We also used the spa which was nice too.

Gorgeous resort at a fantastic kiting spot. Buffet meals had a wide range of choices, but light on vegetarian entrées. Enjoyed morning stretch and evening yoga. Glad to have free option to take shuttle to Dakhla city center one day.

Dakhla is the place to kite. Dakhla club is amongst the best places of the region. Rooms are OK. The bungallows are probably better than the medina, but more expensive... The restaurant is very good, with a great variety of meals, that are likely to accomodate every needs.

Spainone night someone tried to enter in our room while we were sleeping. we had blood in our sheets. the towels would suddenly disappear. At the end of the stay, they tried to charge us some drinks we didn’t order.
