Very beautiful Riad with a lovely pool on the roof, good location in the old Medina. The host Amine was extremely helpful and gave us great tips about the city. He also booked an exceptional guide, Mohammed, for us with whom we did a full day tour through Fes. We had a perfect stay there and would always book it again!

    All good, everything was perfect!

Perfect location to start your Maroc tour. Close to the city (Medinas) but still quite. Really friendly and helpful host. We booked a great city tour at the Hotel (400Mad /3person ~5hours) -to recommend. We really enjoyed our stay. Thanks Amine.

Note, you will want to pick up toilet paper at the local market stands. The area in general seems to have a slight sewage smell & flies around, but nothing that would deter us from staying again. This is an older area so it seems as these are to be expected.

The staff is so welcoming and helpful. They provided us ideas of places to go and made arrangements for us to enjoy a historical of the city. Their breakfast is delicious and fresh. We would definitely stay again!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Dar Abdesalam. Amine and his team manages the riad very well and made us feel at home immediately. The check-in was smooth, including a welcoming cup of Moroccan tea and a very useful explanation and things to see and do in Fez incl a map that we used the rest of the week to navigate the old medina to the tanneries, shopping, diners, musea etc. We had the downstairs room which has an exceptional high ceiling and amazing tile work on the inside. The rooftop terrace is great for spending some time to relax, enjoy the pool and read a book in the sun - especially after enjoying the busy medina during the day. The breakfast is great, with bread, pancakes and our absolute favorite: the orange cake! Amine can help you out on all kinds of requests, he booked us a trip to Chefchaouen, arranged a massage in a nearby riad and he was able to get us a taxi early morning to the airport. He can also help out on trips to i.e. the desert and really goes above and beyond for his guests. Alltogether definitely recommend this riad to make it your home base during your stay in Fez!

We were visiting in November so the pool was already closed. Not a complaint (wasnt that warm anyway) just good to know, so that you're not disappointed

We liked everything about our stay. Amine, the manager, made us feel at home and showed great interest to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Even as we booked a day trip and had some costructive criticism about it (driver didnt stop in Moulay Idris as planned, but that was obviously on the driver and not the hotel) Amine got very much offended on our behalf and contacted the driver to make sure that for future trips the driver sticks to the schedudule and doesnt cut it short. He really seemed to care that his guests have a good time. You can ask him for advice (where to go, where to eat, transport to/from the airport etc.) anytime. He even offered us to arrange the transport back to the airport even if we would have stayed at another hotel. Thanks again Amine :)

We love a little English TV when we catch up on the news in bed in the morning, and love to finish the day with a little light hearted humour before sleep. The TV needed updating, and the remote didn't work well, even with new batteries, but that's a small price to pay for all the good.

The situation is perfect; close to the main stuff in the Medina, but quiet. Very professionally managed, and safe.

Dar is very well located and perfect for exploring the medina. The room was very spacious and comfortable. It had all the amenities you need. The terrace is also very nice. The breakfast was delicious and quite big. But most of all the host, Amine, was really helpful and made sure our stay was very enjoyable.

Had a bit of trouble finding the riad at first. The door is in a shaded side alley so we missed the sign for the riad at first. We suggested some more sign posting for reassurance for guests.

The only thing I didn’t like was that you had to nock every time you wanted to get in.

The host was super friendly and helpful. The coldtub on the roof was perfect after a long day in fes and meknes. The room was very big. There was a possibility to get your clothes wash. I really enjoyed my stay here.

We previously stayed for 3 nights, but booked another night after we came back from the desert tour Amine booked for us. Would highly recommend getting Amine to help book a tour. They also stored my big bag that I didn’t want to take into the desert with me. Amine goes out of his way to help and really kind. Facilities at the accomodation are great as well. Would highly recommend staying here!

Just aware that the dar isn't soundproof since it was a private house and still keep their original structure.

Everything!! Amine, the host, proposed us the taxi service from train station to their Dar. Welcomed us in the main street where the taxi dropped us. Gave us their specialty tea and gave us little tour of their dar. Amine was very kind, welcoming and helpful with our itinerary and questions. He gave us options and advice during our stay. The courtyard is beautiful and I can't get enough of it. Enjoyed my breakfast morning during our stay with courtyard view. The pool isn't a pool, more like jacuzzi without hot water. More likely for dipping. So don't expect will be big.

The main entrance is in a dead end street (not very pretty access). There are no shampoo or shower gel.

Good location, close to the main square in fes and with a lot of great restaurants nearby. Nice moroccan breakfast. Small jacuzzi in the rooftop - helpfull during hot days (which were all of our stay).
