Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomAll perfect.
This place exceeded our expectations, beautiful and big rooms, nice rooftops and amazing views. Breakfast was tasty and when we asked for Berber eggs, they prepared it for us. Fantastic hotel, would definitely stay there again.

United StatesThe only thing I would note, and it's not really a dislike, just a heads up. The hotel is down two very narrow streets. If you are not a confident driver with a good understanding of where your bumpers are, the last five minutes of the drive into the hotel could be very stressful.
The hotel was lovely: the color schemes, the garden, the terrace, the view. It was all lovely. The hotel staff was friendly and accomodating. A prior hotel did not have the laundry facilities it advertised and we arrived at Dar Amoudou with no clean clothing left for the morning. They washed our clothes immediately so the clothing would be dry by morning. Their kind and quick response to our situation was very much appreciated.

United KingdomThe rooms are a little noisy due to thin walls - but we appreciate this is nothing that can be fixed and did not detract from our stay! It is quite far from the centre of Ouarzazate, but as we had a car this was no problem.
Dar Amoudou was a beautiful property with a fantastic view from both our balcony and the communal terrace. The staff were very welcoming and polite. The room was spacious with beautiful art work. The breakfast and dinner were great. We ate the best tagines that we had tasted! Dinner was roughly £12 per person per night. We enjoyed relaxing with a mint tea and watching bee-eaters from the terrace. The location is great if you are exploring Ait Ben Haddou by car as you can park at the property under shade.

NorwayTraditional and relaxing Moroccan hotel, full of beautiful details, gardens, terraces and balconies. Warm welcome with Moroccan mint tea and dried fruits. The owner is very kind and without requesting he upgraded us to a larger room. Beautiful view of the valley, it is located a little far from the center of Ouarzarzate, but for us it did not present any inconvenience because we had our own car, and it also has a private parking. Delicious and complete breakfast, all the staff was very friendly and attentive.

GreeceI would have appreciated if the owner had responded negatively to my request of whether they take credit cards, instead of denying it at the time of payment.
Cozy, traditional Moroccan hotel, with helpful staff, spacious room and comfy bed. Breakfast was OK, similar to most of the locations we visited in Morroco.

United KingdomWe stayed at Dar Amoudou for 3 nights on our first visit to Morocco. We were swept away by the sheer beauty and exceptional hospitality of Mr Ali and his family. Dar Amoudou is a complete Moroccan experience : it is a family run hotel built by Mr Ali's father - (Mr Ali's hard work over the years can be seen and felt ). The architecture, decor and cleanliness is first class. The hotel terrace and rooms (with a balcony) have mesmerising panoramic views of the mountains, fields and the settlements. The hotel is thoughtfully built and tastefully decorated with typical Moroccan handicrafts. The host, Mr Ali is welcoming, friendly and kind who will go out of his way to help (Mr Ali very kindly dropped us in the city and arranged a reliable tour for us to Merzouga & Marrakech). The breakfast served was fresh and scrumptious and can match any 4 star hotel. The beds were clean and comfortable. The fixtures in the toilet were traditional and clean with running hot water and shower. The ceilings in the rooms were a work of art in itself. The hotel is situated in a quiet and safe residential neighbourhood with a short drive to the city centre and Kasbah. We hope to come back to this beauty (InshAllah!!) and would strongly recommend Dar Amoudou to family, friends and travellers looking to stay in Ouarzazate!! Our prayers for Mr Ali and his family :: May Allah bless and preserve Dar Amoudou for generations to come. May you continue to serve others with love and kindness. Ameen!!
