Nothing- everything was perfect! Just be aware that the mosque is very close so you may be woken up by the early morning prayer. (For us wasn’t a problem at all - actually it adds authenticity to the experience)

Everything was perfect! One of the best locations where we stayed around the world. The owners were amazing, such nice people, so knowledgeable and helpful. Thank you for all, Hakima and husband.

Nothing, of course the usual old riad in Morocco stuff like small, hard to shut doors, but nothing that’s a real problem.

Great location in the Medina, not even too hard to find and easily walkable to everything. The owners were friendly and helpful.

The bathroom could be restored. The cabinet in our bathroom didnt have close at all and I must say it wasnt comfortable in the bahtroom overall.

Firdt of all, great location. The property was modern but somewhat authentic. However what really made our stay great was the hospitality of Hakima. Hakima is such a lovely woman who makes you feel like at home.

Close to the mosque as others mentioned. The morning prayer didn't bother me and I am a light sleeper. However, it was very loud each night. People were singing, clapping, and shouting until around midnight. Not sure if that was because Ramadan was approaching.

The couple who manages the property were amazing. Very kind and helpful. Met me at the bus station to show me how to get to Dar Dayana and did my laundry on short notice. Close to everything and is a beautifully decorated space. Also, the internet worked well had work meetings when I first arrived and had no issues.

If you are a bad sleeper you want to wear earplugs as there is a mosque right next to Dar Dayana.

We loved everything about this lovely place! The garden area is very cozy, and our room was clean and nice, yet a bit small. Breakfast was delicious and the staff very friendly.

The hotel is in a calm place of the medina (except there is a minaret behind the wall, so you will wake up at 7 a.m. every morning without alarm. But this isn't necessarily a minus) Has a wonderful garden to rest. The people in charge of the hotel were very nice and helpful. When we couldn't find a hotel, they went outside to meet us. Breakfast was delicious and abundant. We also had the opportunity to meet the owner who was also very nice. The bedding was very comfortable. The entire interior was thought out to the smallest detail. Beautiful, clean, tidy and high quality.

    Nothing.

Good location in a little side street which was so interesting to walk down. Breakfast was delicious, especially the home made yoghourt which was so lovely. The riad was extremely clean and the rooms cleaned every day to a high standard. Really good shower - impressive on 3rd floor! Most of all, Hakima and her husband - so welcoming and friendly, thank you both for a really lovely stay.

We really had no complaints and we would definitely stay there again if we ever revisit Essaouira!

Our favorite accomodations out of the 5 different places we stayed in during our 14 days in Morocco! The homemade breakfast here was top-notch. The staff was so kind and accommodating. The courtyard was so lush with beautiful and mature plant life, it felt so serene. Our room had much more natural light than the other Riads we stayed at, which we really appreciated. It was also very quiet at night. We also found the bed very comfortable. This all made it very easy to fall asleep and stay asleep throughout the night.

Dar Dayana was an incredible place to stay during my short visit to Essaouira. The couple who operates it are incredibly kind and accommodating. They told me not to worry about not having enough cash to pay for my room when I arrived and let me pay the next day. Breakfast was delicious, the riad was beautiful and cool despite the heat, and I felt more than safe traveling solo. I would highly recommend their place and my only regret is that I couldn't stay longer!

Our room was quite small with limited floor space and was a little dusty. Hand soap was not provided in the bathroom. The price was very similar to everywhere else we stayed but breakfast was not included (so maybe less good value for money). As mentioned by others, the mosque is nearby so the call to prayer is very loud but we don't think they did it at night as we didn't hear anything.

Beautiful building and garden. We loved Nikita the friendly cat, who was always waiting for a scratch by the front door. The couple that manages the property were really lovely and friendly, they even gave us coffee one morning when we brought some pastries back to eat in the garden for breakfast (there are two fantastic and cheap pastry stalls very close to the property).

The mosque was really close! So the call to prayer was REALLY loud if you had your windows open. Nothing you can do about this.

Really easy to find from the bus stop. Felt like a local area rather than the tourist area. Beautiful courtyard.

They charged my 5 year old daughter city tax for the 3 nights we stayed. Only until i get to Marrakech i learned that children under 12 don’t have to pay city tax in Morocco. So beware of this! If i knew i would have questioned them would not pay. It’s not a lot of money (9€ for the 3 nights) but i wonder why the owner does it?!

The location is right in the heart of the medina. The staffs are very very friendly and kind. Room is basic but nice enough as this is a small riad with small garden but it’s enough to make you feel cosy, and thank to the staffs, the riad is very clean (as i see them clean and look after the place well).

We went in June and there is a mosque right next to Dar Dayana which mean you WILL be woken up at 5am for morning prayers. But it's worth it for the wonder place.

The hosts are so friendly and they have the sweetest little cat called Nakita. We asked for an earlier breakfast and they were happy to accommodate for us. The room have everything we needed. The location is ideal too.
