Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaMaybe the stairs but then we wouldn't have had the amazing view. So nothing really.
Where do I start. Firstly with a warning. If you don't like stairs, this is not the property for you. Having said this, I doubt anything in Chefchaouen would have come close to Dar Jasmine and I would have taken an hour to ascend the stairs if I had to... 158 in total; I counted. My partner chose secure parking at a small cost but there is free parking available. When we got to heaven, I was seated on the patio with a drink while porters (and not all young) ran up and down these stairs with the bags of those checking in. We were told to just sit and relax. Then we checked into our room where the picture perfect image of Chefchaoune was ours for the taking from the balcony. A brave soul was swimming in the pre-summer pool which looked lovely. Eating in (didn't want to go down those stairs) we enjoyed a beautiful soup and a lovely tangine and cream caramel. Breakfast was traditionally arabic with a western twist... all lovely. After breakfast, we descended to base camp and wandered the blue washed walls of this unique city. Upon return, the 158 stairs a second time didn't seem so bad.

LuxembourgBreakfast was a bit late especially people need to leave early for tours. This is not just at this hotel but in all hotels in Morocco. It’s probably because of Ramadan time.
Food at the hotel was fresh. Although menu was limited, it was really good.

United KingdomThe steps up are quite challenging especially if you do multiple times a day.
The property is beautifully designed, with THE best view of Chefcheoun. The rooms were beautifully designed and the service was immaculate.

MacaoCompared to the two cities of Marrakesh and Fez, this hotel and the overall city atmosphere give people a very comfortable and relaxed feeling. Checking into the hotel, you feel that the pace can be slowed down a little bit. The care taken in the overall design and layout of the hotel and rooms shows their passion for entertaining their guests. I am looking forward to staying at this hotel next time.

United Arab EmiratesThe only downside was the extremely firm bed, which was uncomfortable for someone accustomed to medium firmness. Additionally, the TV setup was unfortunately restrictive and didn't accommodate personal device connectivity. Overall, a superb experience.
Stayed at a four-star hotel in Chefchaouen that ticks all the boxes for location and amenities. The ascent of 160 steps is a small price to pay for the breathtaking views over the blue city, with luggage assistance available for $5-7. The hotel features newly furnished rooms, an exquisite restaurant with panoramic views, and a stunning pool that would be perfect for summer visits. The dining experience was top-notch, with the option to bring your own alcohol.

SingaporeYou have to climb steep set of stairs to reach the place. They have staff who help you with your luggage so that’s alright.
The hospitality, location, breakfast, views from the room, all of it was absolutely fantastic!! Would recommend this place to anyone visiting Chefchaouen.

United StatesThe hotel is located at the top of a hill so it is really a difficult climb from parking to the hotel, the hotel also doesn't have elevator so if you have large luggage it would be a struggle, of course there are employees at the hotel that can help you carry the luggage, just need to call the hotel before your arrival. Also, when leaving the hotel to visit the town, watch out for the people that tried to show you the town, they would stay near the hotel and they tried to charge us a lot of money after they followed us around for a while. (but to be fair, the spots they pointed out were pretty)
The view was amazing, this hotel is located on the top of a hill so the view was amazing and room was clean, you can see the entire town from your room. Breakfast was amazing.

United StatesNote that if you go in car you will need to part in a public lot at the base of the hotel, which is guarded. What is great is the staff will meet you at the base of the hotel, ensure that you get a parking spot and carry your luggage to your room. We took a Jaguar and had no concerns leaving it in the lot.
Stunning view, exceptional staff, comfortable and clean room, and delicious food in the restaurant which had beautiful views. The staff make you feel like you are the only guest. Attention to detail and our needs was above and beyond. The breakfast was fulsome and delicious, the dinner was romantic and devine. Trust me…. Of all the hotels or Riads available in the city - this one will take your breath away.

United KingdomWe can't thank Dar Jasmine enough for making our stay so enjoyable and memorable. Every single person at this hotel has been exceptional and so lovely, helpful and kind during our stay. A massive big thank you to Fatima for all the warm welcomes as we returned from exploring Chefchaouen each day, for helping us to retrieve our delayed suitcase from the airport and for arranging pickups and tours, she made everything so easy. Aymane was an absolute legend at dinner time! So friendly and kind we enjoyed all our chats and what a great idea surprising us with a little honeymoon treat a special dessert and flower for my wife at dinner. Also Yassine our tour guide arranged by Dar Jasmine was the best! So informative and helpful during our tour to Akchour waterfall ask for Yassine if you want a great relaxed day out. Honestly our experience at Dar Jasmine has been one of the best hotel stays we have ever had and that is all down to the care and hospitality of the brilliant people working here! It really does feel like a home away from home.

United Arab EmiratesThe access to the hotel from the main road is via lengthy steps, about 120 steps. However, the hotel sent us porters to pick up our luggage and all belongings.
Themed, spacious, and very comfortable rooms. Feels like a luxury villa with excellent service and team. The dining experience is a must, both breakfast and dinner.
