Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ThailandThe only downside would be the toilet. Due to the size of the room, I kinda understand why they had to make it that way. There is no bathroom door; therefore, no privacy. As a husband and wife, it's fine for us. If you travel with friends, you may need to reconsider. If it's just only you, that's alright. The location is a little bit complicated to find, but once you've worked out the way, it wouldn't be that difficult. I would say it's a hidden gem. Once you open the riad door, you step into a nice peaceful world. Breakfast should include more savory food. I think maybe that's how Moroccans eat for breakfast, while in the UK or Asia, we would prefer savory food over something sweet for breakfast. However, I was glad that some days they served omelette as well. There was only one day when they completely served sweet items for breakfast.
Every staff member is so lovely and polite. I need to mention Badr's name as he accommodated us for 2 nights and Ismail as well for 1 night. Though Badr's English might not be strong, we managed to understand each other somehow, and he provided privileged services to us that I have never experienced anywhere else. Staying here feels like visiting a friend's house. All the staff warmly welcome us. There are only 3 rooms, which has given us a cozy and friendly environment. They have many facilities such as a bar, a shop to display their brand, a rooftop area, and a yoga room. I really love the bar; it feels sophisticated. I absolutely love the decorations. I'm into interior design, and I couldn't keep my eyes off everything. All the elements there are placed in the perfect place, and they speak the same language. The riad smells really nice. I love the music they play as well; it made the riad even more special and luxurious. Honestly, I love everything there, and I was so sad to leave this place. I wish I could live there. If I have a chance to visit Rabat, I will definitely stay in this place again.

United KingdomWe had a lovely 1-night stay. The interior design was beautiful, blending modern with traditional. We requested for vegan dinner and we were happy with the generous portions of tasty food. The staff was brilliant, especially Walid was super helpful and kind, and went beyond his way to accommodate us.

United KingdomI arrived at 9.30pm. Noticed the room I was taking was suddenly being cleaned by the man who took my passport and asked me to fill in details. I waited for 10 mins. When all I wanted to do was check in, shower and sleep. Instead all I saw a dirty room which was half heartedly cleaned 10 mins. The hotel had plenty of time to prepare for my visit. He said the cleaner wasn’t working today - not my problem. Few note - hair in the toilet, sink, shower, floor. Old towels given and bathroom mat was wet. No complimentary toiletries. I asked if I could move rooms and the man said nothing was available even though booking.com said there was perhaps a superior room. Exceptional circumstances call for exceptional customer service. Worst was not putting the bedding duvet sheets on and tucking in the duvet to the bed. So I wouldn’t notice. This was only noted when I was in bed. Felt disgusting. I emailed the manager and had no response. I was the one who asked for a discount. Crazy! IMHO they should have given the room for free given the poor management. I didn’t even get 50% off. This is not somewhere easy to find in the night!
The riad is nice with ambient music.

SpainUnacceptable that there is no wall between the toilet and bed area, it made the stay uncomfortable. It's hard to get to the raid as Google doesn't help in small streets of Medina neither more indication from the host. Not English speaking host made it difficult to communicate.
