Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

The place is beautiful and so carfully put together! Absolutely peaceful and so tastefully decorated, with lots love and passio. Saida the host is the most welcoming and warm person, and she is a truly incredible chef! She sponaneously cooked up incredibly tasty and lavish dinners for us, the good was the best we had on pur 2-week tour through Morocco. Also breakfast was amazing! Thank you Said :-)

AustraliaA beautiful Riad with great location. Meriem was a fantastic host and helped us with all our questions. Perfect for your one or two night stay. Rooms and Riad are truly beautiful. Just be mindful that you may need to climb alot of stairs like with any Riad. But very much worth it.

ItalyThe building has so much character and very well renovated. Our room was spacious, very clean and beautifully decorated. We had all we needed and staff Meriem and Nasrin were very helpful and responsive. If in Rabat we will definitely stay in Dar Mayssane.

United StatesWe could have used a shower curtain with our shower/tub to help control water overspray but easily used a towel to clean up the water. My husband does have bad knees, so more knowledge of the stairs to climb would have been helpful. And, there was a little trouble with communication as we speak English, and the staff speak very little English. We worked it out with our Google translate app it just took a little extra time. I did miss that this property only excepts cash.
Breakfast was way more than Continental as listed in description. Freshly made breads, eggs made to order if desired, warm milk with your coffee, yogurt that was so delicious you can eat it plain & the best freshly squeezed orange juice we had in all of Morocco. The property is absolutely beautiful in a Moroccan/Country French kind of way. There are stairs to climb wherever you go in the property as in most Riads, but if you don't have bad knees, it just becomes an adventure.

AustraliaLike many Moroccan riads, the many steps to the higher level may be a struggle for some; but fortunately you usually only need to negotiate them a few times each day.
The room was spacious and ornate, with hanging space. There was a convenient double vanity bathroom with bath, and a separate shower in a separate room again. Breakfast was very nice, and we were able to have it late, which worked well for us. The staff were wonderful, and fixed a couple of small issues very quickly after we arrived. It was a great location, close to Mohammed V Avenue, and it’s many shops, restaurants and street food outlets. You could easily find your way to anywhere around town from here.

JapanI had the most comfortable stay at Dar Maysanne. The riad was tastefully decorated with plenty of personal touches that make this place feel like home, and Anne-Sophie's hospitality truly is exceptional. I was welcomed with orange juice and interesting conversation in the courtyard, and was then shown to my room, which had a large and comfortable bed and a bathtub. Breakfast in the morning was plentiful and filling; the sunset from the rooftop was incredible. After staying in a few riads in Morocco, Dar Maysanne remains one of my favorites I'd love to return to.

SwitzerlandThe riad is amazing, so beautiful and calm. We were welcomed by Meriem, who was an amazing host, super kind, always ready to help us! The breakfast was very copious with fresh products, so good! Very good position to visit the medina and the kashbah. We had a lovely stay, a pity that was only one night! Highly recommended.

SpainIf it had been later in the summer, the lack of air conditioning would have been a problem, but opening the windows worked fine for us. Would also have been great to be able to communicate in English or Spanish, but the hostess made all efforts to help and with a little AI help it all worked out :)

United StatesNo vehicles in the medina, so use someone with a cart to get luggage to the house and pay them to carry it up the windy stairs. Bringing it downstairs to DDepart was a struggle for me on this 17 day trip. Staff speaks French and Arabic, owner is not on site.
The character is fantastic, as seen by the photos, and the different level outdoor spaces were lovely. I definitely knew I was in Morocco. Standing on the rooftop terrace, listening to the call to prayer echo around the city was memorable. It's challenging getting around in the Medina, but it's where I wanted to be.

United StatesI was stressed about withdrawing and carrying a large amount of cash (DM is pricey and doesn’t accept credit cards), especially as the ATM machines at the Casablanca train station weren’t working (luckily, the one at the Rabat train station was). It would be nice to provide afternoon tea/sweets or at least all-day beverage access. The owner sent some travel suggestions via WhatsApp, but it would have been nice to have a manager or concierge on-site to recommend places and help with reservations (though maybe I just missed out because I don’t speak Arabic or French - the staff are certainly very nice).
This is a gorgeous historic dar conveniently located at the top of the Medina, near the tourist sites. In 8 minutes, you can walk to the beach to watch surfers, kasbah, fortress, Andalusian Gardens, souk, and waterfront to watch families hang out or take a boat across the river. If you’re game, it’s an 18-minute walk from Rabat Ville train station; otherwise, have a taxi drop you at Moorish Atelier (a tiny restaurant on Avenue Laalou, the only access road, between Rue Sidi Fateh and Avenue Mohammed V). It’s a 2-minute walk into the clean, historic Medina down quiet Sidi Fateh Road (or a 4-minute walk down busier Mohammed V Avenue - a good place for snacks). The dar is designed around a gorgeous tiled courtyard that holds one breakfast table; the other tables are tucked into nooks off the courtyard. Breakfast is coffee or tea, fresh OJ, yogurt with fresh fruit, eggs to order, 2 kinds of Moroccan breads or crepes with honey, jams and soft cheese. Four rooftop terraces with different seating configurations and an upstairs TV room provide common areas. I stayed in La Belle Endormie, the topmost suite with a private outdoor seating area and a stunning bath suite with clawfoot tub and separate shower room, all decorated with stained glass and ornate tile. I had to force myself to leave my room and go explore Rabat!

ItalyThis ria's beauty is a treat to the eyes. Wherever we looked, we found plants and decorations that enhanced the general atmosphere of this historic riad. The zillig (tiles) on the walls, floor, the post bed and furniture made the stay in this riad a delight.
