Small tip: You're in the middle of a city and it's an old building, so there is some noise. So make sure to bring earplugs, then it's fine. We slept very well.

It's great value for money. The manager/cook is incredibly friendly and attentive, he's like a butler from the old movies. The location is great as well and loved the rooftop terrace. When booking this place, I was a bit afraid for the shower because I read some less positieve reviews on Google, but it was perfectly fine. Wait one minute on hot water and you're ready to go. For a 150 year old building, it's very clean and decent and nice you can stay in a historic building.

The manager, Mr Younis' hospitality is par excellence. He brought us personally to the shop to top up our mobile data on credit term as we didn't have any dirhams. Breakfast was great.

The room had no windows or ventilation, so there was a lot of humidity in the bathroom and in the room.

Great location at the entrance to old medina, amazing host ready to answer all questions and help with everything you need. He let us stay and rest in riad after checkout since we had an evening flight.

Beautiful property with excellent location. The rooftop views are wonderful. Breakfast is homemade and delicious. Younis is a truly excellent host. I’m so glad I stayed here and would absolutely recommend that others visiting in Tangier stay here as well!

There are people in the medina who claim to work for Dar Bargach even though they don’t (we were conned by a random guy who insisted in guiding us to the property and later demanded money). Be careful and always coordinate with the host! Wifi not reachable from certain parts of the room. Narrow and dark staircases—need to be extra careful when going up and down. Not accessible by car, so if you have suitcases, be ready to drag them across the chaotic medina. Shower drain works poorly = nasty standing water. Breakfast is only served from 8:30 am.

Super friendly and helpful staff who went above and beyond all the way from welcoming us all to the end of our stay in Tangier. Good breakfast with selection of traditional Moroccan bites and tea. Comfortable bed and high quality pillows. Water dispenser for drinking. Rooftop with a view of the medina. Very responsive to messages even prior to our arrival.
