Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

This is a really great place to stay. It’s clean, comfortable, super relaxing, and the staff couldn’t be more helpful if they tried. Erg Chebbi is right behind the hotel. There’s not many places to stay where you can float in a (delightful) pool with such a splendid view. Food was very well prepared and served. Well done team Dar Morocco!!

United StatesThere was nothing we didn't like, we enjoyed every second!
Dar Morocco was incredible, the staff were so kind and friendly and accommodating. The food was amazing, the location was unbeatable. Near enough to the town to get food but also right across from the dunes with no obstruction of view. Looking out my window and taking afternoon strolls through the dunes were amazing. We also spent ample time relaxing by the pool. The rooms are also enormous. We had the opportunity to chat with Mustafa our last night and talk about growing up in Merzouga which was wonderful to hear about!

United StatesDar Morocco is a beautiful hotel in the Moroccan Saharan desert. From the moment we were welcomed with the traditional mint tea, we felt at home. The children were enamored by the pool (perfect temperature) and the parents were happy to watch them frolic from the cool sitting area. The architecture of the hotel is pure luxurious Moroccan, without being over the top. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with the air conditioning we desperately needed, even in the springtime. Dinner was a modern take on Moroccan cuisine and we enjoyed every morsel, from the surprising salad that included tuna, cheese, and avocado, to the flavorful and tender roasted chicken with green beans, rice, and roasted potatoes, to the refreshing fruit for dessert. Traditional bread and olives were provided as well, of course. Breakfast was a selection of pastries and jams with a Berber omelet and freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee. It was a delicious and light start to our day exploring the wonders of the desert. The staff is wonderful - solicitous without being cloying - and eager to make your stay as comfortable and memorable as possible. The only downside to our stay is that it couldn’t be longer!

United StatesHighly recommended! Newly opened riad, the hall and rooms are spacious, new and clean, with high speed wifi. Breakfast and dinner are plentiful and delicious, and the staff is super warm and friendly. The location is great, opposite the riad is the Sahara desert. You can see the desert sunset from the roof, and you can see many stars at night! Dinner was taken in the spacious vestibule of the riad. We had a rich and delicious four-course dinner on the edge of the desert and under the stars. It was very satisfying and dreamlike. After the meal, I spoke at length with the riad staff. It turned out that they are family members who run the riad and are also the chefs of the riad. Multi-talented Moroccans always wear several hats. Listening to them talk about desert life and Muslim religious views was one of the most evocative experiences of my trip. Notably, after we left the next morning, we returned to the riad to use the toilet at midday. The staff were also very welcoming and friendly. We had to wait until dusk before our next trip (camel ride). The staff even turned on the air conditioning in the waiting room and allowed us to rest there for a few hours. It was so nice!

AustriaAs for all Riads we have stayed in, it is quite noisy and one can hear things through the walls & door, but that is the same everywhere in Morocco :D
We were warmly welcomed with tea and everyone has been really friendly. We got some dinner - even though we forgot to pre-order - and our room was beautiful and spacious, especially the bathroom and shower were great. Everything is completely new! The bed was very comfortable (hard mattress which we like).

United KingdomA lovely welcome for two tired travellers from the staff- tea and snacks despite the lateness of our arrival. Communication was easy as they speak so many languages - full of information and answered all our questions. Our room was huge, beautifully decorated and most importantly for us Scottish people in the summer- had aircon. The breakfast was just out of this world amazing. So. Much. Food. Breads and eggs, cheeses, olives, many jams and honey... Delicious. I especially loved the Berber omelette. We will definitely come back here- probably in winter.

BrazilMy husband caught a food infection on the desert tour that the hotel recommended and the owner was along for the ride. The most surprising thing is that we didn't have support from anyone at the hotel in the early hours of the morning or even after I told reception. We changed our hotel and had an incredible experience. Furthermore, we had a problem with the drain being blocked and we needed to change rooms. I DO NOT RECOMMEND staying at Dar Morroco, I recommend going to BERBER PALACE MERZOUGA.
