Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe shower wasn't great, we're not fussy so didn't mind it, but if you're staying for several days you might find it inconvenient.
One of the most gorgeous places I've ever stayed in - the roof terrace is really exceptional. Lovely property with Moroccan style decor that has a modern touch, lots of books and art to look at. Decent sized room with storage, a safe, toiletries etc. The breakfast was incredible, and to be able to eat it on the roof overlooking the city was really special. Likewise in the evening the rooftop opens as a bar, which as a tourist was a welcome addition to our trip! The main street near the accommodation felt lively and safe at night, there are plenty of restaurants and cafes very close by.

AustriaThe breakfast missed some cheese and ham - it would have been great to have a little more options. Also my room was underneath the kitchen which caused it to be a little bit noisy in the morning hours. But this was just a minor inconvenience.
A nice gem in the middle of the old town. The room was like straight out of an arabic tale, so many nice details, really spacious, because of its location it overlooked parts of the city. It was bright, modern and really comfortable. Would definitely go there again! And the rooftop is one of the best in all of Tangier. They even have a small turtle that lives there and comes out during the day.

United KingdomIt’s not a negative, it is something you should be aware of, Tangier is hilly, very steep in places with lots of steps, Da Nour is at the top of a very hilly section and is only accessed by stairs and a pathway. Carrying bags is an effort, but if you want an authentic Moroccan hotel experience it is worth it.
It is all about location, in the beautiful winding streets of the Kasbah, the hotel is rustic and comfortable with a lovely roof area for breakfast and evening drinks. The staff are exceptionally kind and friendly, always welcoming you with a smile and a kind hello.

AustraliaBathroom was a little small. Stairs would be a problem for guests with Mobility issues. The property is hidden away in the Medina and is difficult to find initially. We had some problems arranging a pickup from the railway station, but this was resolved satisfactorily.
Very quaint property in the Tangiers Medina. Had a really nice rooftop terrace where breakfast and drinks were served. Decor of room had a lovely Moroccan charm.

United StatesIt was very hard to find the property but we knew that when we booked it.
Friendly staff though at times it was a little hard to communicate but they made it work. Food was great and the room was beautiful. Experience the old Medina

AustraliaThe breakfast is not included in the price and a tad expensive. However the fresh fruit selection and endless coffee taken on the rooftop make up for this
The room was beautiful and the position in the heart of the kasbah is excellent. Breakfast or drinks on the rooftop were a highlight.

United KingdomThe smaller room we stayed in, though lovely, was a little tight on space. Although the room itself was actually quite large, the layout meant that opening up a large suitcase, for instance, was a bit of a squeeze. In honesty though, it wasn't an issue for us. Secondly, neither shower had a wall mount so you had to hose yourself down by hand, which neither myself nor my partner found to be an issue. The second room we stayed in the shower area was also quite cramped, but not so much so that it was an issue.
Excellent location and fantastic value for money. Our room was upgraded to a mini-suite for the first night of our stay at no extra cost which was a lovely surprise. Both rooms that we stayed in were incredibly comfortable, each with a different and tasteful design theme. The expansive terrace was a joy and we spent time there every day - either to read as the sun set or to grab a drink at the bar. Staff were all friendly and attentive.

Our stay at Dar Nour was incredible. The location was great, the hotel itself was unique and cool with a fabulous rooftop and great breakfast. Most importantly, I cannot say enough good things about the staff. They were extremely communicative and helpful in advance of our stay and throughout. They truly went above and beyond for us - including having someone go to the train station on our behalf and get us tickets. An an exceptional stay - would recommend to anyone!

United KingdomA very stylish and tasteful place with the most fabulous roof top terrace. A great place to have a drink and look across Tangier. Our room was small but comfortable. The breakfast was really good with lots of fresh fruit, pancakes , yogurt etc. We also ate here one night and the food was very good. Dar Nour was in a great position to explore Tangier . United KingdomLocation means a fairly steep climb to reach from the main part of the Medina, can be a bit tricky to find until one gets one's bearings through the narrow streets.
Really lovely, if quirky, "bijou" hotel in old building(s) located right in the Kasbah area of the old Medina, so all main attractions are within a short walk. Very friendly and helpful staff, nice restaurant if you prefer to dine in the hotel (we did!!). Perfect for a short visit to see the old town of Tangier.
