Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe description of the room when I booked it was that it was "detached" which it is not. You definitely want a room that is not facing the street, as that would be quite noisy. The air conditioning unit is in the living room part of the apartment, so if you want privacy in the bedroom, the air would not reach you.
The facility is clean, and the staff is very nice. The breakfast is modest. You're about a 20 minute walk away from the central Square in the Medina. There is nothing "traditional" about it.

Amazing place, amazing people, extremely clean, comfortable and with bright new facilities. The breakfast was the best we had in Morocco and not only. The city is a must see in the list and the location of the appartments is right next to the old town. I would strongly reccommend the hotel to everyone and to be honest we already miss it

United KingdomNot the hotels fault but the car guard dried a blanket over one of our motorcycles and managed to pull it over breaking a mirror needless to say we didn't leave the car guard a tip. One of the car guards was rather aggressive but thanks to the hotel team for helping us manage the situation.
Super helpful and friendly family team who look after you from start to finish. The apt room was very spacious with a bedroom, bathroom, and lounge/kitchen area. There were also 2 terraces to sit on, one with umberellas etc. The location is very good with a 10 minute walk to the old gate for the medina. There is a public car park just opposite the hotel which is free to park but has the traditional car guard approach. The owner of the hotel comes out and talks to the carguard on arrival and on leaving to ensure a smooth departure.

SingaporeWe drove to Chefchaouen and Nassim was great to advise his location and give advice on the best route to take from Casablanca. Parking is right across the road for 20 dirhams a day. You can ask attendant to clean the car for 40dh. Location is great - it’s a short walk to everything, convenience shops at doorstep and petrol station round the corner and 2.7km if you want to hike up to Spanish Mosque. Room is clean and spacious, we did not cook but kitchen is handy for cleaning water bottles etc and we had family game night on the sofa..there was Netflix on the TV but we did not watch.. Breakfast was lovely, served when you want it and on the terrace or in your room. Nassim, Abdul and a lovely lady made our stay so comfortable. There is no sign with the name but it’s right across the mosque so look for the lovely doorway.

AustraliaThe host is proactive and very good at communication. The property is clean and comfortable and has a lovely sense of style and thoughtful design. It is a 15 minute walk to the lower gate of the Medina. There are several restaurants/convenience shops very close by. The bed is comfy. The lounge/dining is a little small but fine for a few days stay. The kitchen lacks a kettle and some utensils but has the basics. The breakfast is plentiful and freshly cooked. The host was kind enough to let us leave our luggage for a few hours until we caught our afternoon transfer. I highly recommend a stay.

Saudi ArabiaIt was all wonderful. While the hotel is not located within the actual touristy centre of Chefchaouen, it is about 20-min walk, there are still many restaurants in the vicinity.
We stayed one night in Chefchaouen and enjoyed the practical layout and facilities of Aparthotel Dar Nowara Chaouen which came with a small kitchenette. Taking breakfast on the lovely patio was wonderful. Nassim was really lovely and responsive to our requests. Everywhere in Chefchaouen was a short walk away. Parking was across the road, next to the mosque for 20 dirhams a day.

CanadaThe doors could use a little lubrication as they were a bit noisy.
The location was really good for us, as our driver could easily drop us off and pick us up again the next morning, plus it was just a short walk into the old part of the city. Breakfast was good, and served in our room. The room had a kitchenette that was fairly well equipped, although we didn't do any cooking.

United KingdomOur stove didn’t work and we had ants in the living room area. As a ground floor property i suspect this is inevitable in Morocco and overall it didn’t impact our stay but something could be done to reduce this issue. The parking was not free - it is in a parking lot Oposite the hotel ran by a couple of men who will ask you for money every time you go to your car to get something or to leave. At times we were worried about the safety of our car as we didn’t pay them anything till we left and we knew they weren’t happy with us! This is absolutely not the fault of the hotel, but the parking should not be listed as free as you will need to pay something.
Lovely owner, large and modern bedroom and living room. Absolutely perfect location in the centre of town. Good AC.

United KingdomNothing. It was the best accommodation from our trip to Morocco.
The property is extremely clean with the most comfortable bed from our trip in Morocco. Very well decorated with big room and shower door. I was feeling like home. Nassim and his very well experienced guide offered us an excursion a Akchour waterfalls and bridge of God at the very good price.
