Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

RomaniaYou have to drive up from Imlil, at some places its narrow for 2 cars but its manageable.
We had a lovely stay at Rachids Family Lodge. From the beginning Rachid was very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. The lodge is the next village after Imlil just before the police checkpoint. Therefore you’ll have the most amazing view on the mountains. We got a welcoming mint tea with snacks. The breakfast was extensive and got us full for our hike. We opted for dinner both nights. Rachids mom prepared it for us, the tajine was really good, really aromatic and the portions were huge. We got a soup, main course, fruits and tea. We also had warm shower. We had parking like 5 minutes away. Amroud, the village where we were staying is almost all pedestrian only, we felt it was more authentic and chill than Imlil.

Czech RepublicBeautiful place almost 2000 m.a.s.l. Great homemade breakfast and tajin for dinner. And the host Rachid is great, the best person I met in Morocco. He will do and arrange everything you need. Don't be afraid to ask him before traveling to Aroumd.

United KingdomI booked a suite, with a separate living room with sofa and tea making facilities, mountain views etc. We got a room with a bathroom, but no living room, no tea making facilities etc. The first room they tried to give us, only had a small window over the door into a corridor and a bathroom window that opened into the adjoining bathroom! After I complained I got a room and bathroom with windows to the outside, but no suite. As far as I could make out there are no suites and no sauna either. The village was nice, but it is an hour walk uphill from Imlil. We could not get any transport, so it was a long walk with our bags. It also means there is nowhere to go and nothing to do after dark unless you have your own transport. We were there for 3 nights, 2 evenings we had internet, but none at all for the other evening.
Comfy lounge to relax in. Nice room with private bathroom. Peaceful local village. Lots of lovely walks in the area.

Czech RepublicWholeheartedly recommended!!! The stay was great, cozy, clean and homely. Rashid picked us up from the car park (the whole village is steep and walking only), even went out of his way to sort out a misunderstanding we had with a tour company (even though he didn’t have to). He and his lovely family welcomed us with lovely food, lit fire and great company.

United KingdomNothing 😊
Could not recommend this place enough! Rachid was super welcoming, friendly and gave us really useful tips to enjoy the mountains. His family was also very attentive. The place is very cozy and nice, the room was very good. The views are amazing and the village is a quieter option to Imlil. We'll come back for sure 😊

GermanyThe advertisement of the room mountian lodge is very positive. Also cooking yourself is not possible
Rachid was super friendly. His main concern was that we are happy. Also there was a hot shower and comfortable rooms. The food for breakfeast, lunch and dinner is excellent. The cloth cleaning service was super fast.

PolandAuthentic, cosy and comfortable house in a Berber village with a breathtaking view from the terrace. Rachid and his family were kind, hospitable and exceptionally helpful hosts. We felt like at home and had a chance to taste real Moroccan cuisine. Highly recommended for hikers.

NetherlandsYou have to search and ask a bit to get there. Go in Imlil center before the bridge to the right. Drive up, it is a little bit steep but you can make it. You can park near the Mosk in Amaud and continue on foot.
The hospitality of Rachid and his wife! We like the food very much. There is a comfortabel room, living room and balcony with a stunning view on the mountains. The walking tour on the mountain guided by Rachid (you are not allowed to go on your own) was a good experience. He was looking after us and our needs very well.

United KingdomThe map pin is correct, but no signage on the property, so you'll need someone to point it out. I recommend you call. (Rachid speaks good English). There are a few flights of steps, not a problem as I was given help to carry bags to the guesthouse.
Rachid and his family hosted me very well. Rooms are large, nice communal lounge, good for meeting other guests. Very quiet area at night. The dinner option includes soup and bread, large main course, fruit and home grown herbal tea. Recommend. Call before arrival, you'll need help finding the place when you arrive.

PolandA bit difficult to find! Hidden gem:) save location on map offline
It was amazing to be such warmly welcomed. The place is nice, the common area is spacy, there are some REALLY good books in the library (many languages!) and don't miss tasty spices on the fireplace. It was very warm at night in April even under one blanket. The lady was so nice that we received fantastic soap in a gift! Rashid who helps in the lodge is also a mountain guide and everyone knows him, so probably he could be a good choice for Atlas trek (we in the end stayed lower). Best argan-walnut paste for breakfast ever:) moreover I had a story, that I was going back after sunset to Rashids place and was lost in the valley, was so lucky that I got on private property of Mahmed - Rashid's friend who immediately helped me driving me to the place. I am deeply touched by kindness and care how all the community gave us! just two random backpackers:) would love to be back and stay longer. ❤️

BelgiumThis guesthouse is located high up the hill in Armed. From the terrace you have a wonderful view on the Toubkal mountain range and the river valley and lower parts of the Armed village below. We received a very warm welcome by Rachid and his father, and the tajine we had for dinner was the best during our whole trip in Morocco! Tip: contact Rachid before arrival, as the guesthouse is somewhat hard to find in the narrow Armed streets.

United KingdomI cannot imagine a more perfect place to stay in the area. Rachid met us and helped us to find his beatiful guesthouse, which has a truly stunning view up the valley with the Toubkal massif in the distance. His wife made us delicious food (Rfissa and Tagine both the best we had ever tasted) and he went above and beyond to help us with all of the logistics involved in our adventure in the High Atlas. Truly Rachid and his family are wonderful hosts and we cannot thank them enough, if you are looking for an authentic Moroccan experience with great value comfortable accomodation then this is the perfect spot!

this is a beautiful and cosy home. of a very nice family! two brothers Rashid and Hamid gave us a very warm welcome. I strongly advise you to ask for the dinner, its really tasty and we’ve spent a great time talking about the culture and traditions in the region and in general. Rashid and Hamid are experienced tour guides, so they can advice and/or lead you in your adventures as well. it may not be so easy to find a place as there is no sign on it, but we were quite lucky, when we came to the spot by map, we’ve just asked the people in the street and it turned our we are in the right place
