Absolutely loved our stay here! The staff were incredible and really made our stay fantastic. The guesthouse is charming and the rooms are good for the price you pay. We did the cooking class and had a lot of fun. Would definitely recommend to anyone

It is in the heart of Fes, close to the excitement of the souks and tanneries and lovely places to eat. The staff are also very lovely. They offer cooking classes, a walking tour and a really great Moroccan sculpture art class. Highly recommend.

What made Dar Sunrise such a lovely place to stay were the staff, they made us feel so welcome and at home. The cooking class was a lot of fun and the food we ate was some of the best we had in Morocco. In the evening we all spent time together playing music and drinking vodka, very fun atmosphere! Thank you

    Nothing, all was beyond expectations.

Perfect location and beautifully decorated Riad. Breakfast was delicious and most importantly the hosts made us feel at home. They were incredibly kind by letting us come to the hotel earlier and facilitated our check-in due to our early morning bus arrival. 100% recommended

I can’t thank dar sunrise enough. They have told me their house is my house and I felt it strongly from the beginning. I came with my twisted ankle from my previous desert tour. They helped me with local medicine oil and messaged for me for 3 days in a row. How kind and nice of them. Even before my leave, I had problem getting bus tickets and Jessica used her card getting the ticket for me. I also had a cooking class with them which is an amazing experience. it’s easy to find a hotel in Fes but definitely can’t find a home like Dar sunrise. Highly recommend.

    nothing it was amazing

This is the best place we have ever stayed, the hospitality was unmatched. Yassine was so helpful and booked us tours to the desert and Chefchaoeun the day we arrived! We were also taken to the local Hamam by the women working in the Riyadh and it was an unbelievable experience! I could not recommend this Riyadh more highly, I will 100% be back!

Rooms have little ventilation.. window looks into the opposite room.. and one is easily disturbed by people chatting in the lounge or on the street below.. but Yassine's hospitality makes up for it!

The Riad is conveniently located very close to the Ain Zliten parking lot. It's just off the main street in the Medina. The rooms are decorated with artistic elements that reflect the hosts' personalities! Ever smiling Yassine is extremely warm and very welcoming. He went out of his way to make us comfortable in every way. We had an ever ready supply of conversation, tea and a delicious vegetarian dinner as per our request.

At first it is a little hard to find the hostel, I think they should write some leading arrows on the main street and a more visual sign on the door. Also, the breakfast was not included.

The hostel is next to one of the main streets in Fes, with a taxi point, a market and many restaurants nearby. The staff is extremely hospitable, they will offer you tea and help you with anything you need. The house is clean and beautiful, it has a nice terrace and the room was also very good.

I will never forget his incredible hospitality for the New Year’s Eve party. He made my stay in Fez special!! Thank you so so much!!!! Ps: make sure to try his tagine! some rooms (at least the one we stayed) did not have the bathroom separated from the room with a door. That’s probably because the house is pretty old. However, this was not that important for us, as we mostly spent our time at terrace or the reception with Mohamad and other guests.

Located in the middle of old madina, by far the best host of Morocco, Mohamad, welcomes you. The house once belonged to his family, and then he turned it to a hotel. There are also workshops happening at the terrace and the ground floor almost everyday - booked over Another website. Mohammad is just there whenever you need something, including free tea 7/24! He is interested in stone art and food, and you should definitely listen his adventure and life stories if you have time - he’s a treasure! It was an unforgettable new year’s eve for me at the ground floor. Thanks a lot Mohammad for everything, I mean it. I’ll never forget my Fez memories because of you! And in his words: “Remember, we all are brothers from different mothers” :)

The wifi wasn't always working good. Our room did not have a door to the toilet, just a curtain, but this is pretty common in Morocco.

The hosts are the synonym of hospitality. After being in Marrakech and seeing how much people are looking for our money, they were the fresh air that took care of everything. They helped us buying local stuff and reserved our transport to the airport for a very decent price. The room was clean and definitely the cleanest we had in Morocco. The location is very central. If you come by car there is parking nearby. You can take the cooking classes they offer. We did not have time, but we tried some things cooked by the host and they were great. We would come back even if only for the cooking course.

    Everything was amazing

I love everything! It feels like being home. Everyone is super helpful and super welcoming. Also the best food I had was definitely here, real home made Moroccan food. So much better of what eat outside in restaurants. Yassine thanks for your amazing food and helping me with everything ( especially the spices😆) My room was clean, the rooftop with an amazing view of the medina and the place is so close to restaurants, shops etc. You go out and you are in the middle of everything. Best place where to stay in Fes if you want experience local life, feeling comfy like home and being in the centre of the beautiful medina!
