Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNothing in particular.
Location, views, owner, tranquility. Owner is a superb host with personalised attention. Both dinner and breakfast was excellent, with attention to local ingredients, produce and quality. One of our best stays in Morocco. Photographs do not do it justice.

BelgiumYou absolutely need ear plugs to sleep...
Dar Tassa has a stunning location, with wonderful mountain views, near one of the most beautiful valleys of Marokko. Just 7 km away, you will find the Toubkal mountains, covered with snow, in Tibetan like landscapes. No tourist at all, just friendly local people. The diner at Dar Tassa is simple but very delicious. If you are looking for a location to rest and relax, this is the place to be.

CanadaA wonderful place, comfortable and appealing to the senses. Brahim is a terrific host; he arranged horseback riding for me, and was helpful in every way. I had the pleasure of meeting some of his family; I felt very welcome and included. The staff is attentive and friendly. Very good food, great views from the terrace and balcony off my room. I will come back again.

SwitzerlandWe really enjoyed our stay at Dar Tassa, a beautiful house with an amazing view over the Atlas Mountains. Brahim created a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere and offered us a cooking class as well as some useful tips for our further journey. Definitely taking a tajine and our new cooking skills back home with us and will visit Dar Tassa again!

BelgiumIf we have the chance we will come back!
Nice and very peaceful place on the edge of a typical Amazigh mountain village. From the fabulous terrace you have a splendid view on the mountains and the valley. Bihi is the ghost whom you can ask anything. He gave us multiple options to do in the area. We made a walk along the mountain river to a nearby source. Very nice. And Myriam is a fantastic cook, she made us the best couscous you can eat in Marrokko!

AustraliaAbsolutely nothing not to like here.
Searching for the real Morroco experience with authentic food and hospitality? Then look no further. At Dar Tassa Brahim will look after you. He could not do enough to make my stay as wonderful as possible. From cooking an authentic Morrocon dinner set in the traditional lounge, to waking in the morning where I was welcomed with a beautiful array of breakfast spreads, breads, pancakes, and eggs on the terrace overlooking the amazing valley below. Brahim can guide you on what activities there are in there area as he is a true local, as this is were his family are from. Also, there's a room to suit everyone's budget, and you will still receive the same experience, but insider tip: pay a little extra and go for the Toubkal suite for that extra level of luxury. You will not be disappointed. Trust me.

United KingdomA hidden gem in Ouigarne! We had the most amazing day and a half at Dar Tassa. We walked in as strangers and left feeling like family. The place is perched on a beautiful mountainside with panoramic views- mountains, valley and babbling river. These views were replicated in our room's private balcony and bathroom. It's clean, simple, authentic and most of all the perfect place to recharge your batteries. We were also really well looked after- and a big shout out to the lovely Miriam who tended to all our needs- such a star. The food was great and we were lucky enough to be serenaded by Shouka with his magical voice and beautiful guitar playing on his birthday. The song " Zina" will forever be etched in my memory of our wonderful time in Morocco :)

United KingdomUnfortunately there were quite a few issues which resulted in us having to leave after the first night even though we had booked and paid for 3 nights. The price was cheap but I guess they make that up with the extortionate prices they charge for everything else. This is an honest review & based on our own personal experience. We did not even receive a refund. To begin with, the room we were put into was shocking as it was nothing like the pictures, I even explained this to Abdul Wahhab who then said that we could change our room if we wanted to the other Junior Suite upstairs next to the lounge area. The first junior suite was cold, had so much mould on the walls that they had just covered with cloth, there were webs and spiders, way too many mosquitoes, walls looked like they were falling apart and it was not romantic at all. A random curtain pole with curtains stuck on the wall in front of the mirror. The Wi-fi was none existent and we had no signal on our phones at all. The second room was right next to the lounge & eating area therefore no real privacy, can hear people talking etc. Again WiFi was very bad here but since it's the mountains it's understandable to a degree. We were disappointed that there were no prices or information about food available. We had asked if it was possible to get some dinner and Abdul Rahman said we could have chicken and lemon tagine to which we agreed. We had a small tagine each which consisted of one leg of chicken & some olives with a cooked half a lemon. For some reason, my husband was sick immediately after eating this & he had been fine the whole trip otherwise. We were charged 90dh each for this small tagine which is extortionate, even in the modern hotel in the new Medina of Marrakech was only charging 45dh for the same thing (with probably more chicken)! The water was 15dh each when it is only 6dh from the shop.
We liked the view and the garden. The bed was nice & comfortable in the second room we were moved to. The bathroom in the second room was nicely decorated. The tiles were beautiful. As there is not enough space to write about the things we did not like, I will have to write it here. Following on from what we didn't like, the fact that Abdul Rahman tried to rip us off with a taxi to Ourika Valley by saying 600dh! My husband is actually Moroccan and lives in the Rif Mountains of Northern Morocco therefore knows how these things work very well. It was really an interesting experience at Dar Tassa which we would not go back to again.
