Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomAhmed and his family were very welcoming. Ahmed phoned to find out if the Tizi N’Tait Hmed mountain pass was open for me. Such a relaxed atmosphere. The whole family were lovely and I would definitely stay again. The view from the terrace and room was sensational. The dinner and breakfast were both delicious.

United StatesThe tagine dinner was small and a bit expensive Breakfast was ok, but the bread was cold and perhaps a day old. Be advised the hotel is accessed via a 1.6km dirt road off the main road. Water pressire varies from zero to minimal. I was stuck with soapy hair for a while until the water returned.
Beautiful view from the terrace overlooking the river valley below. The room was fine and wifi worked well.

SloveniaFriendly and generous hosting family. Location with the best view in 10 days of Moroccan trip, also a bit desolated without other houses around. Really home made dinner on the terrace at sunset with view over the valley and mountains.

United StatesDar Timitar is located halfway up Rose Valley and on a plateau overlooking the valley. It is a 2km drive on a dirt road off the main paved road but the views, wonderful family, delicious meals, and beautiful/tastefully appointed accommodations (one of the nicest decorated rooms of our trip) are well worth the effort. Beds were comfortable and we got a good night's sleep. Terraces are perfect for not only daytime views but sunset and excellent stargazing at night.

Thailandthe most primitive bathroom ever had, very low water pressure and very little water gave out from shower head. bathroom design is sub-standard. the 2 km dirt road leading to the hotel has no lights but beside a sharp cliff, it’s dangerous to drive to and from the hotel after sunset
panorama view, good to sit at the terrace to enjoy breakfast and dinner

CanadaService is excellent. Food is delicious. Staff is very friendly. The view on the roses valley from room and terrace is awesome. From there we could visit in three days three gorges: Toudgha, Dades and Amejgag. The walk in roses valley nearby is very enjoyable. People in the region in general are very welcoming and friendly. We are far here from tourist traps culture in big cities like marrakech. Very safe part of the country, and very telegenic.

Switzerlandthe terrace seemed to be (at least parts of it) under construction
this was the one of two properties during our tour through Marokko we stayed at where we were greeted by a woman - which I personally found very enjoyable; I wish more hotels would employ women. The view is amazing, the food was good - the room was big enough for 4 people, with two separate bedrooms and bathrooms. We got a good recommendation for a hike in the rose valley, which was easy to find and very beautiful.

Amazing place! It’s rustic but the location is absolutely breathtaking. Food is really good and the coffee is probably the best we had in Morocco. If you like to organise a trip through the valley of roses with a local guide, they know just the guy!

NetherlandsThis family owned place is beautifully situated on top of the hill, the views are really worth driving up for. The rooms are nicely decorated and there is a beautiful terrace and indoor restaurant room. We received large towels in our large room with its own balcony with beautiful view and an extra large double bed. The hosts made us feel welcome and accommodated our gluten free diet and helped us with our other questions. It is a place that has heart, and is really a place to come rest after a long journey.

ItalyDarTimitar is located on the top of the rocky cliffs looking over the Valley of the Roses. The road leading to it is unpaved but very well kept and accessible even for city cars. The view was stunning! Excellent home-made food made the trip very worthwhile. Rooms and overall location were also very appreciated. Although the structure appears to be recent (many plants are being added and are still small in size), you can see the potential and passion for hospitality. It will soon be a true jewel for sure.

United StatesOur kids who stayed in a different room were a little cold. The breakfast was fresh and good but was 3 types of bread which were very tasty but we could have used a protein. But other than that I found nothing wrong with our stay.
Ahmed was a very warm and helpful host. He has built a fabulous guest house perched on a cliff off the beaten path. Driving along the main highway, you don't even know this valley is there. We arrived at night and so had no idea how great the views were. We awoke to a beautiful sunrise and breakfast on the terrace overlooking this panoramic view of the valley. The facilities are tasteful, handmade, a bit rustic, and very spacious. If you are driving out to the desert, this is a perfect stop halfway there.

Francefinding the property you have to cross a private dirt road that climes a hill which was a bit steep and uncomfortable to ride with a small car.
This is probably one of the best. We arrived in sunset went through the lobby outside, and then the view just came at us. wow. Ahmed was really friendly and walked with us around the property and showed us the room which was really spacious and with the most amazing balcony I ever had. Everything about this place is cute. it is well decorated, the structure is authentic built on top of the hill and has a really nice garden. we just loved it!
