Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNo complaints at all from our experience.
Our hosts were perfectly helpful throughout and the tent was a great space and warm in the cold desert night. The food was some of the best we had in Morocco and the dunes are beautiful. Organising the extras (camel ride in our case) was well facilitated and it was quite nice to be part of a smaller group than the big tour groups.

AustraliaAll is excelent
best stay in Erg Chebbi with desert camp Luxury night. And the best in all desert 😊 Location is perfect, tents are impeccable, the room is just like an i desert. Lighting of the camp area at night, under the stars, is beautiful. Dinner and breakfast, they are like the ones served in fancy restaurant The berber music by the camp fire was the mari on the cake! And the staff: dres is so friendly, plus a good desert driver; hmad is very hospitable, Hami is the best camel guide and singer ever 🤗 I wish I had more nights to spend there. Highly recommended!

ItalyEverything was excellent
Our trip in Morocco was the highlight . Amazing luxury camp in the desert. The perfect place to stay in the Merzouga. The tents were very comfortable and clean with hot water and wifi. The food was very good. The night activity was very fun. They sang local music berber and played drums around a fire. You can watch the beautiful sunrise and sunset in the dunes. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The best of it was the service offered by hami , the owner of desert camp Luxury night and moha , the driver/guide. They both are called hami the owner help us to plan our trip from Marrakesh to Merzouga and back (4 days). He find us an excellent driver/guide. He organized our camel trekking at sunset, ATV in the dunes, desert excursion by 4x4 car. He suggested a nice riad to stay in Merzouga the second night in the desert. We were celebrating my birthday and he even bought a cake for me. He really was very helpful and the communication was excellent at all times. Hami the driver/guide was also exceptional. He was very knowledgeable, professional, friendly and calm. We felt very safe in the road at all times. He is an excellent driver and tour guide. He planned every stop and place to visit and we loved it. And I love to reccomiendo it to everyone

SlovakiaWe could park our car safely in town and then we had a 1-hour cammel ride to the camp (20€ per person). The tent was clean, with big bed, couple of blankets and bathroom inside. People are really friendly here. If you have time, you can go for a half-day excursion into desert as we did (25€ per person) or use sandboard for free. Very nice experience, worth for the money. Thank you.

United StatesI normally never have had a bad experience and I have never rated a booking on booking.com this close to this low, ever. So when I mean a 1.0, I mean a 1.0. Please read into my experience at least before considering booking and going all the way to Merzouga as a whole. This place is truly a scam, and merzouga as a whole. after you book, they send a message at the bottom of a long paragraph not explaining clearly that it would be 30€ ONE WAY, EACH person to the camp by 4x4 (120€ total for one night of staying the camp on top of the price of the booking) which is located somewhere impossible to reach by a normal rental car. that should be included in the price of the booking, or at least stated in the beginning of the description so its clear that you are paying 120€ round trip just to get to and from the parking. by the way, thats for just two persons, double that if you are a group of four. you can ride the camels for just 30€ roundtrip, but they take an hour to reach there. still, it is not very clear given the transport to the camp equals the price of staying there itself. we paid the one way but walked back (1.5 hour walk if you want to walk across the dunes). we met some workers of another camp along the way and they told us they dont know who the owners of these camps are, so these camps are run by people who seem to not have a direct relationship with the staff which was mostly comprised of mainly teenage guys of the ages of 13-25. when i arrived, being in the middle of nowhere, you would expect to get free water especially having payed +$120 for one night. guy came back with a bottle of water and said its $2.80, even though it says its included in the message the "owner" sent me, and we werent given additional water for dinner (used the same bottle). that was just not fair, 100% not fair and dishonest. pictures looked great, but they come out better on camera than in reality.
the beds were very comfortable and shower was pretty good too. The tent itself is very nice, so is the campsite, but everything else that isnt is written below. wifi was adequate for being in the middle of nowhere. dinner was really good and filling, almost too much food, campfire and drums were pretty cool too
