How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

A perfect stay
I loved my stay here, the room was super clean and cosy, the balcony was perfect for chilling with a cuppa and a book, the staff were the kindest and friendliest I have met in Morocco. All of this and only a short walk to the ksar

Very close to Air Ben Handout. The staff is very friendly and give you tips for the visit. There is a rooftop with great views. A non working jacuzzi that will be great the day it work. We paid 20€ so don't expect a luxury place but the room is ok for an stop to visit the Kashba. And the included very nicebuffet breakfast will have the cost of you stay in other hotels.

The maid service would not clean my room because I left jewelry on the bed, but didn't tell the manager to ask me to remove it. The expensive vegan tagine that was a sparse sprinkling of zucchini and carrots and heavy on potatoes. The entry door is locked early in the morning so I could not catch the sunrise.
Abdel was the star. He was kind, helpful and the perfect gentleman. The room was nice. A good value for the price.

Property is in a great location for visiting Aït Benhaddou. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The food was delicious and we really enjoyed the dinner. All the staff were really friendly and helpful.

The toilets need some work but everything else is great.
The staff was very welcoming. They helped us with out luggage and spoke English well. The rooms are clean, the air conditioning works and the food was amazing. It was the best breakfast and dinner we had in Morocco. I would recommend this accomodation to anyone.

Deluxe room was a bit smaller than expected, especially the bath room. If you are tall it can get tight.
Very friendly staff, well located and also free parking in front of the hotel. Nice balcony and rooftop terrace with a good view to Ait-Ben-Haddou.

That we could not stay longer this time.
We were a bit worried as the price of this hotel was low compared to the others in the area however it is one of the best stays for value vs price ever. The place is spotlessly clean, the staff are so ver hospitable and wonderfully generous with their time, advice and smiles. This is a wonderfull place and with a great breakfast to start your day. The property is PET FRIENDLY and good WIFI throughout the hotel. We will be rearranging our return trip so that we can stay at the hotel on our way home. Do not hesitate to book. You will be very happy here.

The shower was a little cold and hard to adjust the direction (it would be ok for a tall person but it only got my head) but this is minor
Great value for money. Our room was big and the ensuite was really nice. When I was cold in the evening the staff went out of their way to get me an extra blanket. Would definitely recommend.

Unfortunately, the key got stuck in door so we couldn't get in. But the guy from the reception fixed it well.
Guys were very welcoming and hospitable. The breakfast was nice and they even washed our car!

We had a very nice stay at Etoile! The location is very good, it is only a few minutes walk to the Kasbah and it has a great view over it from the room! The real treasure of the place is Murat and the rest of the staff, who went above and beyond to help us! We would recommend this to anyone visiting Ait Benhaddou!

There was not any Hooks in the bathroom so one can hang stuff. Heater did not seem to go to the temprature you set it to. They seem to discourage eating and drinking in the room.
Staff were very nice. The young gentlemen even cleaned our car without us asking. The breakfast was Excellent and plentiful (they brought breakfast for 2 that even 4 people could not finish). Room was bright and comfortable. There is a terrace for common use with lots of space overlooking the main road. Safe parking right in front of the hotel. Hotel has a restaurant but we did not have a chance to try it. Very good Restaurant (Zeytoun) right across the street too.

Food was a bit over average of area. Noisy guys kept me awake Sat night. Perhaps an employee could have asked them to quieten down

Great location for a night stay… perfect for exploring the town. The room was clean, cozy and comfortable. Nice view from the terrace and the staff were extremely nice and friendly. We also had dinner there which was delicious… best Moroccan soup and good vegetarian options. We recommend this stay!
