It was hard to find taxi .. you either use the hotel car or walk outside to find the taxi by yourself

The space of the room was perfect .. the beautiful designs around the hotel areas are unique ..even the hair salon in the hotel was great ..staff are vey friendly

For a five star hotel there is no generosity. I’ve stayed in three other Fairmonts. There were no welcome treats in your room. No chocolates at turndown. No nuts/olives with a drink. No bikkies with a coffee. I’ve never been in a hotel of this calibre where this doesn’t happen. We also had a snippy female staff member when we were trying to sort out a problem of the hotel’s making. So as it stands now, I’d stay elsewhere.

A stunning physical build. I’ve never stayed in as nice a place. The location was inconvenient but meant the views to the mountains were gorgeous.

Not walkable to the Medina, but the amenities more than made up for that. Plus you can get a taxi quickly into town.

The architecture and history of the hotel is unique. The hotel staff make you feel like a member of their family - a feeling and experience never felt in any other hotel before. Their hospitality is beyond my expectations; I initially booked for 2 nights & as a result of the comfort I felt in the Fairmont, I extended my stay to include an additional 2 nights. I would especially like to mention the hospitality management team; Othman & Youssef - Fairmont will never be the same without their presence

The bedroom was small. If you can't open the wardrobe door fully without hitting the bed, that is quite small. The most disappointing thing was the lack of options to get to and from the city centre. Tangier is all hills. Walking to the Médina is awesome for cardio and takes a little more than an hour. Avoid walking back to the hotel after dark, the hills near the hotel do not all have street lights and sidewalks are not standard everywhere. You can rent a car but I didn't do that. While driving in Tangier is better than Casablanca, lanes are a mere suggestion where car cuts you from all sides, motorcycles randomly emerge from dead angles, pedestrian cross anywhere and roundabouts are everywhere. You can have a very expensive and excellent private driver with the hotel if you wish. They'll drive you anywhere in clean, comfortable new cars and you'll barely notice the hectic traffic around you. That said, sometimes you don't want a private driver and it can be inconvenient to have to set up an appointment for a pricey taxi when you'd like to go on a whim. Note that public blue taxis won't take you back to the Fairmont, you need to get a beige taxi or find one of the beige taxi stands. Buses are cheap but they leave you at the bottom of a rough hill that you'll have to walk up to get to the hotel.

The staff was attentive, professional, courteous. They give you a warm reception and always asked if there was anything they could do for you. The cleaning staff is very thorough and leaves the room spotless. The buildings are lavishly decorated with Moroccan stucco details while traditional geometric patterns adorn lampshades and hallways. The pool is an ideal place to relax in the centre of the complex. The whole hotel is set in gardens of trees and Mediterranean herbs which are expertly looked after. The breakfast offers an amazing array of choices constantly renewed and always delicious. The furniture is comfortable.

It is outside central Tangier so you need to catch cabs wherever you go. Nothing is within walking distance.

The building was originally a residential palace so it’s pretty gorgeous. The pool and its surroundings was very glamorous. The rooms were large and comfortable.
