Smokey smell from the stove (probably my fault). Would have liked some soap in the bathroom. Hard bed (as everywhere in Morocco), even though I did sleep well in it.

We had an impromptu stay at Gîte Mourik, which was arranged very quickly and easily. We were welcome with a hot stove inside the room, some tea and biscuits and a nice, hot dinner. Having the stove inside the room really adds to the charm, but being a fire newbie, I also got the room quite smokey (not the good kind of smoked). As with every stay, here too the beds were very hard. But at least the pillows were nice and the multiple blankets warm. The nights were very quiet.

No matches/lighter provided (when the fire went out, you could not restart the fire, and it was the only source of heating). The sink did not have hot water. The rugs and sofa needed to be cleaned better. Cat in breakfast area was aggressive for us to feed it.

Cottage style accommodations with friendly staff. The room was large with a proper sitting area. Extra blankets were provided, and the cottage had a wood burning stove. The gentleman got the fire started for us as well. Frer parking beside the room. Breakfast was excellent.

Nothing, it was fabulous.

Everything! We really loved Gite Mourik. It was the most homely place we stayed in Morocco. We had the family room with our three young children. The room was really spacious and had a fabulous wood fire, which kept the room warm through the December night. Hamid and Khadija were the most warm and welcoming hosts, and our children enjoyed all the animals at their place. Their food was fabulous, and Hamid gave us some great advice and directions for our journey onwards. We would love to come again!

Nothing - love everything!

We love the farm stay experience. Peacocks, turkeys, ducks, chickens, a cat and a puppy….The rooms are spacious. Dinner and breakfast were very good. The hosts were very friendly. It’s good value for money. They have wood stove heater in the room so we all stayed warm and cozy. Love it.

Excellent place to stay! The hosts were so kind and welcoming. They made great vegetarian dinners for me. The room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The garden has plenty of seating areas to enjoy the mountain views.

We liked everything- we would have liked to stay longer!

Everything! the hosts were super friendly and Hammid provided us with really helpful information about our forward route. The room was stylish (modern Moroccan) fresh and clean. The pizzas were delicious and a welcome break from Tagine (though still Morrocan) and it was lovely to be on a farm surrounded by ducks, chickens, geese and peacocks!

The couple that runs this place are awesome. They speak good English which was helpful for us. They make you feel like family the way they do everything to make you feel comfortable and well fed. I was even able to do a trail run along the neighboring roads and trails. The wifi works great in the main area. We visited in winter so the rooms is kept warm via wood burning furnace. The dinner and breakfast were really tasty. Can't say enough good things about these people and their helpful nature. Really felt at home here.
