Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandThe shower was cold or luke warm at best, at times. Two out of six showers were hot. There were USB ports in the tent, but no plug points.
This camp was the height of luxury, and a good distance into the desert area (15 minutes or so by jeep), which is what I wanted. The exterior spaces, as well as our tent and the dining tent, were beautiful. We were three adults in a suite tent - there was a double bed and two single beds. The bathroom had a large shower, with the shower, basin, and toilet being separate, allowing concurrent use and ensuring privacy. The beds were super comfortable. Breakfasts were full Moroccan breakfasts, and dinners were fabulous - traditional Moroccan cuisine on both nights of our stay, with several courses including salads, bread, soup, tagine, fried chicken, and dessert. Tea on arrival at the camp in the evenings was very generous, with nuts and biscuits included. There was live music around the fire after dinner. We received excellent service from Yusuf. Note that jeep transfer is 20 euros per person one-way, between the camp and the meeting point/lodge.

United KingdomIt was a great experience! A tent was spacious and clean with large and comfortable beds and food was delicious. We enjoyed quad and camel riding. Our 6 years old son enjoyed sand boarding and exploring the camp. Staff from the camp was so attentive and playful with children. I must say that I haven't visited a country before where the people are so welcoming, friendly and devoted to children. Special shout-out to Hamza and Ali! Thank you for the wonderful experience!

United StatesNothing to dislike because it was perfect.
The dinner was the best we had on our entire time in Morocco. We loved the eggplant tagine and they very kindly gave me the recipe and I have successfully made it at home. We loved the tent which was spacious and comfortable. The staff were excellent and very friendly. We enjoyed the drumming and singing after dinner. As if that wasn't enough, we witnessed a beautiful sunrise.

All facilities were there, very well thought of, despite the hardness of the location (desert). Staff were very helpful and willing to help, dinner was very tasteful and atmosphere in the restaurant was great. Breakfast was also very good and transfer to and from the location was a great experience too. Parking place to park our car at the village of Merzouga was also at a safe place.

United StatesWish we stayed another night at the camp. I read several reviews that 1 night is not enough, wish I had taken that advice!
I think the pictures on Booking.com do not do justice to how beautiful this camp was! I spent a lot of time finding a perfect camp for my family and me and Desert Heart couldn't be better! They have such beautifully decorated corners throughout the camp, amazing staff and the music and dancing at night was phenomenal. We all participated in the music and dancing at night and even learned to play some drums. We spent a lot of time at night laying on the beautiful beds outside the tents and watching the shooting stars and when we were inside, the blankets kept us warm and toasty for the night(January night was cold!). Food was fabulous and a big shout-out to Ibrahim, kids had so much fun conversing with him, playing UNO, and asking riddles, he kept us all entertained throughout our stay.

New ZealandWe really enjoyed our stay at the Desert Heart Luxury Camp. The tent was comfortable, dinner was delicious (especially the eggplant tagine), and the campfire music performances were also very enjoyable. They taught us some traditional Berber rhythms and let us try them out on their drums. Aziz and Mohammed were both very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. We enjoyed our 4x4 tour and the sunset camel ride. Aziz is a fantastic guide and gave us plenty of time to enjoy the sceneries. He was very knowledgeable about Morocco and Berber cultures. Mohammed and the rest of the team really made us feel at home in the desert.

PolandNothing.
It’s just awesome. Tents are spacious and comfortable. A bit cold in December, but it was worth it. These guys are the best. This was probably our best experience in Morocco. 1.5 hour camel ride to the camp and 1 hour quad through the dunes on our way back. Dinner and breakfast was really good as well.

A beautiful experience in the sand dunes. We chose the camel ride to camp and we did well. Our little guide took excellent care of us. Dinner and breakfast was excellent. The staff were very nice, they were lovely with our little Philip and made us feel very comfortable. In the evening we learned to drum. During the day we used the free sandboard and went on foot to visit a nearby oasis. We recommend it to everyone, there is nothing we didn't like, thank you

United KingdomThe nights get too cold in December month. Be prepared for negative temperature/freezing cold weather at night if you are travelling in December. Days were pleasantly warm and sunny compared to the freezing nights. The staff try to do everything in their power to make your stay comfortable but nature /freezing weather was harsh.
Traditional scrumptious food served by warm attentive staff. Given the harsh Sahara desert in the last week of December (coldest) , the staff did their best to make our stay comfortable. The tents were spacious (4bed family ) . The beds , bedding, blankets were also clean and comfortable. Numerous blankets were provided for each guest to keep the cold away. During daytime ,we enjoyed basking in the Sahara sun at the numerous common seating areas while looking at the golden Sahara dunes - literally in front of our “Glamping “ site What a view ! THE MOST MEMORABLE experience was their service which was above and beyond. The extremely honest and efficient Desert heart staff managed to deliver my Apple laptop to Marrakesh ( our next stop ) when I told them that I had forgotten my laptop in my tent ! They constantly updated me on WhatsApp about the location of my laptop and the delivery guy and didn’t expect or even ask for a penny for that extra service ! I was extremely touched by their honesty, prompt responses and quick delivery ( next day morning ) despite the long distance between Merzouga and Marrakech . It was a very long drive - between 10-12 hours !! Thank you Desert Heart Camp staff for this exceptional and wonderful experience.

The tents were lovely and clean. The service was excellent by Mustafa, Aziz, Ayoub and the rest of the team. The food was amazing even for vegetarians. They had lots of options. Overall an amazing experience in the middle of Sahara dunes. The team even did a musical evening after dinner in front of the campfire. Would definitely recommend the stay in this place and enjoy the lovely dunes in the excellent care of Mustafa and his team

United KingdomIt is in desert, so the criteria is different. The camp is as good as you can possibly get given the conditions. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Dinner and breakfast were certainly above my expectations. The room was very cold in the evening, but this has nothing to do with the staff. Just need to be more prepared and put on many many layers if you decide to stay in the desert. Camel ride and quads were absolutely fantastic.
