Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe booking page is clear that you'll need to pay for extras in cash on arrival (dinner etc.), but I somehow did not digest the fact that you also have to pay the complete cost of your room onsite in cash. We had enough dirhams to do so, but it took us by surprise. Just be sure you have enough cash to pay for your room, dinner, tips etc. before you cross the river.
We absolutely loved Kasbah Tebi - cannot imagine seeing Ait Benhaddou any other way, it was a highlight of our trip to Morocco. Dinner by candlelight was lovely, and our room was so dreamy. We arrived mid-day, and called the staff at Kasbah Tebi using the wifi at a cafe in town across the river, and they promptly sent over a porter on motorbike to help with our luggage. We followed our luggage across the river bed, entered through the ancient unesco site archway, and arrived at Kasbah Tebi with a warm welcome. After a cup of tea, we went out to explore. Being able to settle back into our lodging without leaving the site, while all the other tourists had to cross the river to continue on their journey or stay in town was quite a perk. It felt as though we had the place to ourselves for sunset. Don't even question it, stay here if you plan to visit Kasbah Tebi.

United KingdomInternet was only working in the common space- in the evening, with all guests present in the common space on it, the capacity wasn't enough to make it usable
Nestled in a charming historic location, this place boasts beautifully designed interiors and a cozy, comfortable bedroom. We enjoyed a delightful dinner in a stunning indoor setting and savored a lovely breakfast on the outdoor terrace.

United KingdomNothing. Everything was great.
A unique experience. Felt as though I’d traveled back in time. Delightfully restored building that’s been run by the same family for 400 years. Mohammed was great and collected and dropped off our luggage back to the car via motorbike. The views from the Kasbah were stunning. At night there the building is lit inside by candles. There were charging points and our bed room also had electric lights.

United StatesNothing.
Kasbah Tebi was utterly magical. Crossing the river and finding the hotel was just the right sort of adventurous. The hotel itself is just gorgeous: the ceilings, the furniture, the ambience. The candle lit dinner and candle lit rooms created a night out of time. The rooms were comfortable, the shower was hot, and the bird and animal noises from the palmery were just the right shot of exotic. The staff was friendly and accomodating. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. It was a magical night I will never forget.

United StatesA battery operated light in the bathroom would be helpful. A sign in lobby that reads Cash Only would be a good idea as we had planned on using a credit card.
It provided a unique experience. Beds were comfortable and meal service was good. Lack of electricity adds to the charm but is also challenging.

Wonderful people in an amazing historical location! Internet service in this area is very low so try and get on the wifi. The dinner prepared by the staff was excellent and served over candle light. Get their phone number and send a WhatsApp message and they will tell you where to park and come pick you up from the parking lot and help with bags. ATM available at parking lot was a life saver!

NetherlandsNo baby cods, they state in description that they have this and they also confirmed to me that they had two for us ready after we made booking. But on arrival, these were just normal beds and no cods. Our 14month old son needed to sleep in a normal bed and this was highly inconvenient for us and not relaxing. As well as our two year old who falls out of these kind of beds and therefor needed to sleep on the floor. Just telling Mohammed to be clear about this in information, if i wouldve known before i would have been able to take precausions.

United Arab EmiratesThe history of the Kasbah, the same family has been running it for 4 centuries. The food, the location and the charming use of candles as night. It is a singular experience. I've stayed in many amazing hotels around the world and although this was not the most expensive, or the most glamorous, it certainly has the most character. The roof top is phenomenal. I have not seen the stars and skies this way in two decades (blame it on living in a polluted metropolis).

Isle of ManNothing. It was all as expected. A very nice stay overall.
The room was lovely and basic, exactly as we expected. The family room had three rooms, one with a larger than average double bed, one with three singles (one of which was shorter than normal), and a small common area with just a couple of straightback chairs for seating. The toilet and shower were behind separate doors off the common area and had 24/7 operational electric lighting. Everything else was with candles. Ample candles were provided. The dinner was really great. Don't eat elsewhere! I had read that it was served on the roof terrace, but in our case it was indoors. Breakfast was comparable to what we had at all our Moroccan hotels. When we called to say we were in the parking lot, someone came very promptly with the donkey to help with our bags.
