Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

LatviaI wouldn't say that I didn't like, I was fine with this, but others can find those things as minuses: 1. Second evening in the middle of shower I had only cold water. Host already apologised about that, but it was fine. In Morocco water mostly is heated by gas balloons and time by time they are empty and need to be changed. If you have cold water, say the host. 2. Sometimes Wi-Fi didn't work or was very slow. For me it wasn't so important, as I have a lot of mobile data. 3. Neighbours are keeping chickens and roosters on their rooftop, so expect that roosters will sing. When I was sleeping, I didn't hear them, but others did. 4. My last night there was when Moroccans celebrate end of Ramadan. Hostel is located next to mosque and on the last night early morning there was happening more than hour long singing pray. Because of that I woke up. Host said sorry about this, but he shouldn't, because he can't change that. If you choose a place in Medina, expect that it can be noisy. Every evening you could hear sellers on street markets trying to sell something. 5. As some other people have posted, there are some really tiny ants. In the room I didn't see them, but in the bathroom and next to the entrance I saw some. Second morning I concluded that ants have found my bag with pastries during the night - many ants in the bag. On the first morning there were no ants in the pastry box which during the night stayed in different place. My suggestion - better don't keep food that ants can access. I am not sure that host really can do something with ants. 6. Too hard mattresses. If you like really soft mattresses, this place is not for you. I liked the hardiness of mattress. As I wrote before, for me these were not bad things. If you are too picky or expect 4 or 5 star hotel experience than better don't stay here. For everyone else this is a great place where to stay, I really suggest it.
I really loved my stay in KAYEZER. Host is a really great guy. At the entrance I had to take my footwear off and to wear slippers (he gave or you can wear your own). At check-in host showed everything around. I stayed in the 7 bed mixed dorm room. Everyone has a small locker with key and also a key for front door. Beds were high mattresses on the floor and pretty hard ones, but I liked that. I slept really good those 2 nights. Everyone had a fleece blanket and a wool blanket - it was really warm with those. Towel also was provided. Dorm room don't have door - probably historically it was a living room. I tried only one of 2 showers, it was good. I could use a shampoo and shower gel that were in the shower for everyone. Untypically for Morocco, it was pretty easy to get warm water (not only cold or burning hot). There is also a rooftop terrace that you can use. It was a good place where to eat or just to hangout. All building was clean. Thank you for really great stay!

PortugalThere were cameras everywhere, I felt a bit uncomfortable with that. The sheets were very old, they had holes. The shower was spilling water on the bathroom floor.
The host was very friendly and he allowed us to stay a bit longer than check out hours. He provided a garage for our motorbike. The bed was comfortable, I slept very well.
