my last morning the breakfast room was very crowded and the kitchen staff seemed to barely be keeping up.

staff particularly Zahara were wonderfully welcoming. Good breakfast. Beautiful space. Spa available.

A bit cold in the room.

It's a beautiful and authentic place in a perfect location - right in the middle of Essaouira medina with stunning views of the ocean. The rooms are clean and well-equipped. The manager, Hafida, welcomed us like her family. Breakfast was very tasty and substantial. Totally recommend!

Beautiful place to end our 2 week stay in Morocco. The property was immaculate, great views of the ocean, staff was lovely and so helpful. Breakfast on the rooftop deck was such a great was to start the day. I can still hear the sound of the ocean from my room. What a great choice-you won’t regret booking here!

I was uneasy with the uneven stairs to and on the rooftop with some so steep I could barely manage This is the price to pay for staying in a restored (beautifully, by the way) very old riad.

We had a wonderful stay at La Fontaine Blueue. Beautiful rooms, helpful staff, terrific breakfasts on the rooftop, and best of all, a cous cous dinner which was unbelievably delicious and a meal we'll never forget. Thank you!

The view from the pictures is from the rooftop terrace, you aren't this close to the sea. Cleaning Service moved around our stuff and put stuff in different places. We didn't really like that. But the cleaning was very good! Pictures are a bit misleading as they are taken from te rooftop and you aren't that close to the sea / beach i would go here again tho

We had to pay cash in full at the start and everything in cash. I don't think they realise this is not so simple for guests because there's a security limit on cards, quite high transaction costs and it's inconvenient to have to go to a cash machine. Also for the business, customers will buy more extra things if it can go on the account

Absolutely amazing choice of place to stay. We arrived at 7pm after an 8 hour journey and we were welcomed by lovely Hafida. She made us feel most welcome and arranged for our cases to be carried up to our room on the rooftop. Hafida gave us a map and pointed out places to eat and visit. Our room was superb and to see and hear the sea was fantastic, couldn’t have been better. The room and bathroom were most comfortable and sparkling clean. Our first night we had sundowners at Salut Maroc - a lovely venue. It is popular so I would suggest you get there a little earlier to secure a table. The beach stretches for miles, it was a super walk. In the afternoon when it was a little cooler we went to lie on the beach and for a swim. The port is also a place worth visiting with the fish market. We loved all the endless action in the Medina. On our last evening we made a reservation at Le Love by Caravane. An absolute must delicious tapas and live entertainment. We had an early departure 5am and Hafida kindly arranged a staff member to provide us with breakfast before we set off on our 3 hour trip to Marrakesh. We would definitely return to La Fountaine Bleue on our next trip.

The Riad was located so with a fabulous view from the terrace of the less frequented beach in Essaouira. We spent a fair amount of time relaxing up there. Our room was spacious and beautifully decorated. we admired our bathroom which was smartly divided into three areas, toilet, shower and sink. Breakfast was exceptional!
