The doors are sometimes a bit weak and donnot create a very private environment but is part of keeping kind of original style.

Beautiful place to stay, including the rooftop. Everything correct in the bedrooms. Also staff is very nice and location excellent.

Communication

Only negative feedback was when checked in we were given wrong room by staff. Owner came and wanted us to pack and move straight away. We had long drive, tried, hot weather and exhausted with 10 year old, explained to owner we unpacked had shower and if it possible to stay. She finally agreed and rest of stay was pleasant.

It’s in a less desirable part of the medina and the drains outside smelled a bit sometimes but that was not the fault of the property.

The room was nice and big and very clean. Beds comfortable and the decor was nice and traditional. The breakfast was great.

Bed sheet had bobbling on it so felt itchy, noisy streets till late on, so I didn't sleep so well, my husband however wasn't affected and slept very well.

Perfect location within the medina, beautiful traditional road. The bedroom and toilet were great. The terrace was exceptional. Great breakfast up there with amazing view. 10/10 would highly recommend.

Location was great and close to the centre and the beach. The host and staff were superb. The room was very spacious.

A bit pretentious and hot and miss on so many details. Breakfast was pretty basic, first day fresh fruit compensate for that, but the other days there wasn’t any fruit either. There was a bidet in the bathroom , was disconnected. Also, pretty annoyingly, I was overcharged and the payment process was so rushed, I didn’t realise until later.

The riad was beautiful, room was spacious and had a little balcony that made it really cute

First impression - dark and damp. Very stingy breakfast -talking 3 spoons of jam for 5 people, tiny piece of butter etc No TV in the room Not toiletries, not enough toilet paper -1 roll for 5 people??! Old threadbare towels Shame as all reviews say how wonderful it is. It wasn't for us, would not recommend

The employees are super friendly, willing to help and treat us like family. The breakfast is very delicious and The location is nice and safe, just beside the small gate to bus stop and easy to go everywhere. We spent 2 nights with wonderful experience and will definitely be our first choice in Essaouira.

It is a historic Riad, an Old Portughese maison and 10 years ago when Serafina and Leone were there, the Riad was wonderfull, a marvel (we are talking about many, many years ago), today it is in full decline and abandoned to itself. We found a very sad place, not clean and in need of a major renovation. The night watchman drank alcohol and smoked with other tuorists all evening and cigarette smoke was felt throughout the riad (and I was with a child). Old furniture. Very old towels. From the window you could hear local people washing and doing their laundry all night long from a fountain. Dirty neighborhood! The hotel kitchen is extremely dirty and unhygienic, we went out for breakfast!! In Essaouira there are much more beautiful riads full of perfume and art.

The location was terrible, when we arrived the reception was full of flies as we're the bedrooms. It was very noisy, kept awake by dogs barking all night. The terrace where they served breakfast was dirty, The chair seats were peices of formica held on with cable ties. We were booked in for 3 nights but only stayed for 1.

The rooms did look like on the pictures but couldn't bear the flies. The staff were friendly The shower was good, plenty of hot water and easy to use

The riad is located in a residential part of town down a maze of small alleys. Thre were lots of flies in our room when we checked in. It was noisy at night - locals talking in the alley in the early hours and dogs barking Towels were old and smelt funny We booked for 3 nights but only stayed for 1

The riad is truly beatiful, located very close to the center of the Medina, and also close to the city walls and gate. This makes it very easily accessible from the parking lot as well. The most incledible aspect of it was the host, Simu, that is an incredible guy, very helpful and extremely polite.
