Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsEverything was good.
Very beautiful place in a small Medina at the start (or end) of the hiking Todra loup (10 km's through extremely beautiful mountains). The rooms are nice. The restaurant is good. The hotel is very easy to find (many signs) and the parking place is in front of the small medina. The parking place is close to the hotel.

Nice rooms, good food and good value for money. Staff very friendly and happy to help. Close enough to the climbing, the walk through the fields to the gorge is a great way to start the day. Our host managed to get us a climbing guidebook on our first day which was useful

SpainWe were there over new Years eve in winter. Our room was really cold (Most budget guesthouses will have this problem). We had enough blankets, but some rooms, like ours didnt have a (AC) heater. As well the common room was quite cold, although it had as usual here a gas heater. But for the size of the room it was simply not enough. so bring warm clothes.
Nice guesthouse close to the old town, behind the gardens and a bit off the street. The room and bathroom was spacious compared to similar budget guesthouses. The food was good. You have a roof top terrace whith views over the gardens, the village and towards the entracne of the gorge. You can not directly reach it by car, its a 5 to 7 Minutes walk fromt the street. We liked this actually, since you could walk to the Gorge through the gardens, which was a much more pleasent walk (although when you reach there by night the first time, you need good orientation sense to find it). As well the hiking trek came directly down behind the guesthouse. We met other climbers there and we stayed there over a weeks.

The location is just perfect, surrounded by the mountains. You can start your trekking just in front of the building. The room was spacious, clean and well-kept. My boyfriend was bit cold after a night in a dessert, so we got some extra blankets. Hot shower was available as well as AC, which we used to warm up room a little bit, because nights in mountains are cold in November. Although the staff speak limited English we felt welcomed and taken care of. Thank you!!

EstoniaThe place had a bit of an old castle vibe so it felt cold and wasn't very cozy. I now see white bedsheets on all the photos but we also got the synthetic fleece bedding full of static electricity..
The price was good and you get what you pay for. The owner was friendly and helpful. The view from the rooftop is amazing, must be the best in the valley- definitely go up there for sunsets if possible. I found it fun to wander on the narrow streets trying to find the way home. The cappuccino in the morning was also really well prepared (now if they only managed to get some really good quality coffee beans..)

Czech RepublicThe location of the hotel itself is absolutely exceptional, with a wonderful view. In addition, the hotel is pleasantly situated a few tens of meters from the main road, so it is very quiet here, but the center is only a few minutes' walk away, Todra is about 15 minutes' walk away. Very pleasant accommodation, I recommend it.

United StatesHad to ask for the AC remote since it was not in the room.
Comfortable room, breakfast was plentiful and tasty! Located in a quite village but still easy walk to Todra Gorge. You can walk the road or in the valley along the river through the fruit and vegetable plantations. Walk takes about 25-30 mins. Very pretty though.

Great location in the old kasbah with river and palmeraie/jardins access. You can walk to the gorge through the beautiful palmeraie. Stay 2 nights or more and soak up what's special about this area.

CanadaReally well run guesthouse that is excellent value. Unique location in a 500 year old Kasbah…a bit tricky to get there, but once you do the views are incredible and you can walk to the best parks of the Todra Gorge and do a great 10 km loop hike right from the hotel. Very clean and nice family rooms. Beds were a bit hard but that is typical for Morocco. Lovely terrace with views from the rooftop. Dinner was great as was breakfast. Highly recommend!
