Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

The riad is in a rural area next to the rose valley. It was a fantastic experienxe to stay in the house together with the family owner and make a walk with him through the surrounging area where roses and much more are coltivated. We also had a very good breakfast on the terrace and a dinner as well.

Google maps were incredible getting us to this property - not an easy feat. It’s surrounded by old crumbling homes and you feel like you’re going wrong! Our host’s son greeted us with great English, served us tea and then showed us our beautiful room. It had four beds , very colorfully decorated. There was a sofa, small eating area and surprisingly a fridge! The room led on to a lovely terrace overlooking the interesting neighborhood. When Abdul, our lovely host, arrived, he gave us an hour long walk around the area, pointing out all the trees and fruits he’s growing - fantastic. Dinner and breakfast were both superb. Can’t recommended this place enough. It’s obviously not the four seasons but gives you a far better view of Moroccan life in a small village.

BelgiumThe only detail that’s worth mentioning is the water pressure of the shower that was a bit low. But not worth not giving a perfect score. Especially for this price.
The host and his family were very kind and accommodating. Communication was good, the room was clean, cosy, and the environment was amazing. I got to go on a little walk through the valley guided by the host. The breakfast on the beautiful terrace made my morning, with some coffee, eggs, spreads like amlou and honey, and some moroccan breads. I would really recommend staying here.

ItalyNothing: the accommodation exceeded out expectations; of course you cannot expect the comfort of a five star Hotel, but the magic of the place and the kindness of the hosting family more than compensate the lack of luxury
We stayed only one night at this house but it was one of the high points of our trip to Morocco. Our hosts were extremely kind and made us feel really at home and dinner and breakfast were really good. The accommodation is in a typical Berber house in a village now mostly deserted. The setting was really fascinating and it was a pleasure just to stay in the terrace looking at the stars... The house is close to the Rose Valley, an island of green in the middle of the desert; unfortunately we didn't have time for a proper visit so we will try to visit again and meet again thsi lovely family

SpainOur family of four, including two young daughters aged 16 and 12, had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful Berber house for three nights. The accommodation exceeded our expectations, providing us with a comfortable room and access to a spacious terrace where we could relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The internet connection at the house was sufficient for our needs, though not exceptional. However, this minor detail was quickly overshadowed by the stunning environment, filled with lush gardens that added to the charm of our stay. Breakfast was included in our reservation, and we opted to have dinners as well, which amounted to 30€ per day for the four of us. The meals were delightful, and the hosting family made a point of sharing their time with us. We particularly enjoyed the soothing verbena tea and engaging conversations about Berber customs and the current situation in the region. This stay offered us an experience that went beyond the typical hotel visit, allowing us to truly connect with the local culture and people. We wholeheartedly recommend this Berber house to families or individuals seeking a genuine and memorable experience in a serene and enchanting setting.

Czech RepublicEverything was exceptional here. Hospitality of the family was the best we received in Morocco. They served us great dinner and breakfast and made sure we have everything we needed. The location is great if you want to tackle Jbel Sarho range and Mgoun mountain. If you like to be a little bit of the main touristic places, yet still close to bigger cities with bus and taxi connections (Kalaat), you will be a happy person here.

PortugalAbdou and his family were AWESOME. They gave us all the necessary attention and took care of our stay very well. Always concerned about our comfort and satisfaction, asking if everything was ok, if the food was to our liking, how was our day... The place is very comfortable. While it is hot outside, the accommodation is very cool and airy. In the room there are good blankets and also basic hygiene products. We came looking for contact with the Amazigh culture and we got it. Maroc de Mereveilles is a family home located in a quiet and special village that allows you to immerse yourself in the local culture and live a time of calm and tranquility. The meals are UNBELIEVABLELY good. Freshly made, with love and attention, the presentation of the dishes is beautiful and it's impossible to leave the table hungry! Impeccable cleanliness. All environments are clean and organized. Prices are very fair! Thanks to Abdou and his beautiful family :)

SpainThe access is off-road but manageable. The mattress was very hard. Dinner a bit overpriced.
We stayed in a local family house in a small village, the room was beautiful and cozy, there was a nice dining room and the terrace is still under construction, beautiful garden too. The owner was very welcoming and he took us for a walk after having some tea at sunset time, The Valley where they live is beautiful. When we arrived we were asked if we wanted to have some couscous for dinner, as they were preparing it for another guest. We didn’t ask for the price as other times it was free, but the next day we ended up paying the same amount of money for the dinner than for the night, we felt it was overpriced.

This was the best possible option where to stay in this area. We arrived later at night, but navigation was correct and host was waiting for us. We got amazing dinner during a moment! And breakfast was superstar! Accomodation is homestay, very clean and nice, family is super friendly and you will feel comfortable there. The owner is also a guide at local mountains for hikes - we felt sorry we didnt count with that and could not try.
