Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyThe staff was very friendly and made sure that we enjoy our Stay, especially Hamza. I also liked the transparency regarding the prices for the different activities with no hidden fees, so you can decide if you want to book them or not.

BrazilDay tour to the nomad family is quite expensive for what it is. Overall, everything went great, but I wouldn’t have stayed 2 nights, it was a long day in the desert with only so much to do. Don’t overestimate the heat. The ideal trip is to arrive in the afternoon, around 5pm, go watch the sunset with the ATV or Camels and then have dinner and enjoy the night at the camp. Leave early morning after breakfast.
The set up is really nice and staff is great! Everyone is friendly and always trying to help. Omar is responsive. ATV/quad ride is a MUST for the sunset and the dinner is truly special.

United KingdomDinner & transportation are a bit pricey, be aware of the additional charges. But everything was communicated clearly in advance, so no problem for us at all :)
A great stay in the desert. Staff was super friendly & helpful, very flexible with transportation options. The night in the desert was amazing, you could see the Milky Way and enjoy the stars. The camel ride to the desert is great, I definitely recommend taking it at least once. It is also great to stay for at least 2 nights, we stayed for 1 night and it wasn’t enough. The facilities were superb, the beds were comfortable, multiple showers and sinks, everything is clean. I think there was electricity, but no plugs in the tents; take power banks with you if you need to charge something.

GermanyWe had to wait for one hour for the camel ride to the camp due to one participant being late. It is definitely not the owners fault but maybe one could limit the waiting time to 20 min and people who arrive later have to take the 4x4 to the camp.
The set up is well done - plenty of areas to relax in nice atmosphere. The camp is just the right size - not too big so it doesn’t feel crowded with people. Food in the evening was delicious and we enjoyed the music. The highlight for us was the camel ride to and from the camp with Ahmed. He really knows the desert by heart and shared his knowledge with us - he pointed out a desert fox to us, dug out a lizard from the sand and told us about his camels (communication went in a mix of Arabic, French, English and hand and feet - everything is possible if you try).

ItalyAll was very nice, guys give very good services and at the same time they are chilled and friendly. Food was very good, there were also pancakes at the breakfast. They care and improve their camp by planting the trees for example. The extra services cost, but it is all agreed in advance and that’s logical because the accommodation has really low price and it is a desert. Recommended! By the way we came by Ryanair plane from Marrakech to Errachidia, and they provide also airport car service directly to the camp (around 2,5 hours).

CanadaIt’s THE place to try. Clean, friendly, family owned. Great location in the middle of the desert. The Camel trekking is exceptional with Ahmed. The 4x4 jeep ride back to the hotel was fun with Omar/owner. Back again there soon with more friends.

GermanyNothing!
Everyone was so nice, doing their best to make our stay unforgettable! It was one of the nicest memories from Morocco! We highly recommend to stay 2 nights! Just be aware that if you stay for 2 nights, you have to pay for the way back (camels cannot stay in the desert for 2 days- so either you pay for the camels again or 10e for the 4x4- which was also a cool experience). The lunch and dinner is not included, but it was worth it- the food was great, with a starter, main dish and dessert)!

PolandEverything was amazing!!! The camp has a great energy, friendly vibe; it is small, so you feel like part of big family. We got real rest and felt great there. The rooms are spacious, were very clean when we arrived, the beds are extremely comfy, and the blankets kept us warm during the night (of course be resonable and bring warm clothes, it is a dessert after all, but with blankets it is good). Bathrooms were really clean and european looking, there was warm water in the shower. Our group is made of food lovers, let me just tell you, the dinner and breakfast were delicious. The camp ground is well lit during the night and they have 2 guard dogs, so you feel very safe there, even as a woman. The camp has animals - right now, the cat had a baby, so there are 5 little kittens, dogs and farm animals as well. Be aware that they are all very well behaved, polite and used to guests and if you choose to play with them, the guys show you how to do that and check with you to make sure you are comfortable. There is always somebody on the ground or nearby to see if you need anything and make sure all is fine, always ready to help or advise. We stayed there 2 nights and it is minimum in our opinion - there are trips, experiences with camels, you have big sand dunes nearby, but also area to relax in the camp and next to it, moreover guys play live music every night. Hugely recommended, we will definitely be back in the future! Shukram for the experience :)

ItalyAll was good
The camp is very nice and provide good breakfast and dinner. It is and on the other side of the desert respect to Merzouga so when you go there you cross all the dunes. Going there is a fantastic experience, the camp owner organize whatever activity you want and is reactive in responding to all your necessities. The tends are wide, comfortable, with beds inside.

United KingdomI had a magical experience here! I traveled alone as a woman and spent 3 nights at Sahara Wellness Camp. The camp exceeded my expectations! Omar, Aziz and the rest of the staff are amazingly helpful and polite. They are locals so first of all they are very knowledgable about the desert. They were really good at communicating everything before my arrival - including transfer from Merzouga to the camp, activities and specific prices. The tent was spacious and clean, and the bed was comfortable. The food and service was great and charming! It was my birthday and they surprised me with a cake. It really came from a genuine place, it wasn't just a tourist entertainment. Really lovely vibes! It is a camp - so the toilets and bathroom are shared, you should adjust your expectations, but they clean and organise everything daily. So for camp standards it was great! I really enjoyed the campfire and music in the evenings. The atmosphere is both authentic and charming. There are many activities during the day and they accommodate to your preferences. I loved the location - you can hike to the bigger dunes very easily from this camp to watch the sunrise and sunset. I recommend spending at least 2 nights to enjoy the chill desert vibes. Overall, I think you can book this place as a solo traveler, a couple or a family without hesitation!

PolandGreat experience. Great and super friendy staff (especially Aziz as we had most experience with him). You can leave your car at the hotel and also use the bathroom before going to the camp. Camel and 4x4 riding on the dune is something that everyone has to try. Tasty food. We loved every bit of it. Stars are super visible in the night and you could watch them with the company of a dog - Azul. Singing at the campfire was super pleasant and everyone felt invited and cozy there. For sure we will try it again when we will be back in Morocco.

United KingdomAll good. Tents can be quite warm at night but it was fine with a breeze through the door.
Great location across the Merzouga dunes. Comfortable tents, lovely accommodating staff who played football with our son, let Martin plug in his moth trap to see what exciting species live in the desert. They were helpful and friendly with everything. Good food and fun evening around the campfire with music and chat. Aziz took us for a tour around the desert in a 4x4 visiting nomad camps, abandoned mining village, traditional music and the boys loved a bit of 4x4 driving in the dunes on the way back. They also tried sand boarding. Camel ride to the camp was an unforgettable experience. Everything was easy to arrange with Omar beforehand. Highly recommend if you want to experience a bit of desert life. Great for families.
