Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyThe first floor rooms are a bit noisy in the evenings as they are right next to the common room.
The location is hard to find - the shortest way ist from the main entrance to the old medina (5 minutes walking). The hostel is well located, central and quiet. The first floor rooms are a bit noisy in the evenings as they are right next to the common room. Karim and his staff are the best. Super attentive and helpful, everything very familiar. Thanks for everything!

When I travel anywhere I prefer to use (CouchSurfing) then I will go to option number 2 i stay in (Hostel)... But the best experience I had is Moroccan Dream hostel. It's a mix between a hostel with alot of guests and the honer with his stuff who hosting u as CoushSufing surffer. Super nice people who u will enjoy ur time with, in a best location of old Fes. The place is clean and the moroccon leaving room in the hostel with the rooftops and the cave room are the perfect place to socialize with the staff and the other guestes. I wish if stayed more there.

GermanyThe host was reliable and super comforting! We got a bit lost finding our way all the way from the train station; Kareem (The Host) picked us up from a more popular spot where the taxi could drop us off, a plaza close to the hostel. On the way there he showed us all the path indicators on the walls that will guide you to the hostel (helps a lot!) Me and my travel partner were recovering from a hefty week of hiking and sports the prior week, and the room we requested was a fantastic match to what we needed to relax and recover. One more Plus is that this was the first time that I came to a hostel that had chess. It made for lovely evenings of chatting and playing!

IndiaThe property looks stunning, has multiple rooms and an amazing terrace. But the best part about it is the owner Karim. If you want a carefree stay, just go for this as Karim is the friendliest person you’ll meet. He literally ran with me all the way to get a taxi, while holding my suitcase since I was getting late for my train. All in all 10/10 recommend.

BelgiumVery nice hostel. When you enter you immediately enter the common area, the former courtyard of the riad, where it is so cozy that most travelers linger there to chat and consume their homemade or brought food and drink. The owner lives there and you can feel that he likes to spoil his guests. For example, with trips recommended and even arranged, and then a lot cheaper than they are offered online. The hostel is located in a dark, narrow cul-de-sac in the medina, for me, with my night blindness, that was a disadvantage, but for most people this gives the big advantage of being incredibly quiet, even though you are close to the crowds of the shops. An absolute must.

SloveniaThe hostel is in very good location, at the edge of medina. The host gave me great tip how to find it in the labirinth of medina streets, so I didn't have much problems with scammers on the street. Hostel has wonderful terrace with amazing view. The room was nice, bed sheets included (the last night was a bit cold and we got extra blankets without asking the host for them). Beds, rooms and toilets perfectly clean, toilet paper available at all time. I could use kitchen to prepare my morning coffee and also to cook something. Every bed in dorms has locker. Wifi works good. The atmosphere in the hostel was amazing. Karim, the host, is very generous and helpful, he gave me good advice, how to come to the hostel from the airport by bus, which was much much cheaper than taxi. For going back he organized me a taxi driver to the airport because I had to leave very early in the morning.
