OMG The Rubbish tip opposite! Bags emptied by beggars, then the seagulls, then the cats. The same everywhere in Morocco, the PLASTIC Rubbish! Its like no-one cares, chuck your rubbish anywhere, spit in the street, tolerate the cats, ignore the beggars. Such a shame, a beautiful country where no-one cares.

good comfortable 1st floor apartment, great bed. Not soundproofed, ok4us. Only 1 apartment with balcony so specify. Great variety of good cheap fast food places, Fab sweetie stall opposite, 1min bar Le Cupola.10min walk to Medina. Felt safe. Morocco is not a cheap place anymore but this felt good value, the only place we stayed that did. Please can we have hot water for showers available in the morning.

Communication was very friendly and all round fantastic. The place is very tidy and clean and has everything you could want. There are many shops and restaurants on the doorstep and the beach is just over the road. Great view from the balcony. Too.

The location is simply amazing, the sunset is breathtaking and Ilyas was a great host! Super responsive and very helpful, we faced some issues in our plans and Ilyas was very kind in accommodating us! Thank you very much☺️

Lovely bright apartment with everything I needed. The balcony was a suntrap with a view to the sea. The medina only a 10 minute walk away. Great communication with Ilyas who was super helpful and flexible with check in and check out times. Would recommend!

The flat is well equipped but a couple of mugs would be good. That is my only negative comment- everything else was perfect!!

A good situation, close to the beach, shops and cafes- a ten. A ten minute walk into the town along the seafront. The flat is bright and cozy with good decor. Although it’s lively with cafes across the road , it was peaceful at night.

I recently had the pleasure of staying in a " My Home in Essaouira" , and I must say it exceeded my expectations in every way. Here's a breakdown of my wonderful experience: 1. Lightning-Fast WiFi: One of the standout features of this apartment was its blazing-fast WiFi. As a remote worker, a reliable internet connection is crucial, and I was pleasantly surprised by how seamless and speedy the connection was throughout my stay. It made my work sessions efficient and hassle-free. 2. Breathtaking Sea View from a Spacious Balcony: The apartment boasted a large balcony that offered a breathtaking view of the sea. It became my favorite spot to unwind after a day of exploring Essaouira. The tranquility of the surroundings and the soothing sound of the waves made it an ideal place to relax and soak in the beauty of this coastal gem. 3. Immaculate Cleanliness and Well-Equipped Amenities: The cleanliness of the apartment was impeccable. Every corner was spotless, and it was evident that attention to detail was a top priority. Additionally, the apartment was equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay – from a fully stocked kitchen to cozy furnishings. It truly felt like a home away from home. 4. Exceptional Host, Ilyas: Ilyas, the host, played a significant role in making my stay memorable. His warmth and hospitality were evident from the moment I arrived. Not only did he offer me an unexpected upgrade to a more spacious apartment, but he also made sure to check in regularly to ensure my comfort. In summary, 'My Home in Essaouira' proved to be a haven of comfort and productivity.

It was one of the most cozy, comfortable and clean apartment of our two weeks trip all over the country. The location of it is near the ocean, you can enjoy the sunset on the beach. And at the same time the owner easily communicates with guests, proposing his help, some things if one needs in addition to stay there, or even with help to take a taxi.

Only downside is that the place gets a bit cold due to the temperature drop at night and lack of direct sunlight exposure. The small heater provided was not enough to heat up the whole place.

The place is spotless, well decorated and fully equipped for a comfortable stay. I could cook simple meals and make coffee. Bed was very comfortable for sleeping. The location is superb for walking to the beach and old town is just 15min walk away. Ilyas was a very helpful and responsive host too.

Ilyas is a wonderful host! The location is amazing. Can see the sea directly from the balcony. The breakfast shop and the fried fish place opposite to the apartment are amazing!

They were painting on one of the floors and the smell got into some of the spaces for a little bit. Not a big deal though after closing the door and turning on the fan. And assume this doesn't happen often...

Amazing location just across the main street from the beach and even had a balcony. Tons of space. Good restaurants nearby. Walking distance to medina. Most comfortable bed on the entire Morocco trip we had. Great value for the money. Stay here over any of the hotels.

Not all apartments have a balcony (ours didn’t), the bed is quite hard (as are most beds in Marocco), only one very big bed cover

There are several apartments in the building all being rented out, the pictures show all of them, so depending on what you book it won’t be like that, apartment is big, has a comfortable bed big shower, all god. Kitchen could be slightly better equipped but for a few days it’s ok. Location is only a stone throw from the beach, so that’s perfect, check-in and -out was via lockbox, we didn’t meet Ilyas in person, he works around the corner, but responded well via WhatsApp on questions

As a Muslim it's important to not have physical images of people/faces in proximity, whilst praying. The portraits were the only décor that we had to work around. Other than that the place is top-notch. 10/10

The Hotel, "My Home in Essaouira" truly lived up to it's name. I genuinely felt like I was right at home! Our host Ilyas, did a great job with keeping contact to make sure me made it to the place and were able to find our way. I forgot my international adapter, and Ilyas was kind enough to lend us one of his own and responded to questions promptly. Everything was so well organized, this was the most seamless process I've ever had checking into a hotel/apartment. This place is truly a gem, the major positive for me was the view and how close we were to the Beach. I truly felt safe, loved the location and was very close to restaurants literally steps away very accessible to amenities. The apartment was fully stocked with clean dishes, washing machine, and a beautiful sea-view terrace. The place was beautifully decorated, and was extremely clean, I felt so taken care of and would definitely recommend choosing this beautiful property. Thank you so much!

This is an excellent, super-spacious, bright and airy apartment in a fantastic location. The beach is right in front of you along with loads of restaurants and shops. A quick ten minute stroll and you’re in the Medina. Just perfect.

The hot water ran out very quickly, but worked better if you used only half strength, there was visible mould growing on some kitchen utensils but as soon as we mentioned this the owner bought brand new ones for us within 20 mins, there are no fans or air conditioning so the windows needed to be opened, however there are no screens on the windows so there was a lot of flies let in. Also only stairs no elevator but wasn’t a problem.

The apartment was huge, the couch was the largest I’d seen, comfortable bed, kitchen was stocked, the owner provided us with extra clothes lines and kitchen utensils when asked, the location was on the beachfront. A very comfortable week stay.

I live in Morocco and I visit Essaouira all the time, but this is easily the best and nicest place I've stayed in. The apartment was really spacious, and the modern decor and faux wood flooring reminded me a lot of an American hotel/apartment which was refreshing (I'm American). I like riads, but at times they can be a bit dark, dusty/sandy, and cold. This place was the complete opposite. The natural lighting in every room was AMAZING, and so were the lamps and overhead lights. It was very clean, the bathroom was big and bright, and even the towels were nice and soft. Also, there were MULTIPLE full length mirrors and I've never even had ONE in any riad. It's not in the medina, but it's still not too far to walk, there are a lot of high and low end places to eat just outside, and the beach is directly across the street. It's on the top floor so you can actually see the beach a little. Unlike a lot of places, this apartment was not super cold at night, and even though it's right on a busy side street, it's not very noisy. I slept like a baby, the bed was so comfy and the pillows were like clouds! It felt like staying in my own house. 100% worth the price. Oh, and the host was super nice! 10/10

Unfortunately there was quite a bad smell coming from the bathroom- drainage like. Every time we entered the apartment the smell was very apparent. However you then get used to it after a little while but it returns when you actually enter the bathroom.
