Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SpainIt would be nice to attach the instruction how to get to the property to description or send it with booking confirmation.
The property isn't easy to find (ask the host for the instruction or to meet you by Bab Rouah), but the host meet us and he took us to the dar. If you want to see typical architecture from inside and be close to all attractions, it's a good place. The room was a bit small and without window, the same like bathroom, but for one night it was fine. It was very clean and quite calm (comparing to other nights I spent in medinas in other towns).

United StatesSpecially for the room I booked, the lighting was very dark and the airflow is poor if the door is closed. It would be extremely tight with two people, not even considering two backpacks or carry on sized suitcases. I stored my travel backpack in the corner of the bed. It was fine as a solo traveler, but I was itching to get some tools out and relocate the door. If the door was at the main entryway of the bedroom and bathroom, guests could securely leave bags in the entryway space and the bedroom would get more airflow, but still feel private.
I felt extremely secure as a solo female traveler. The shower was great and it’s very cute inside. The staff were friendly and it was easy to find. It was very quiet. The room came with an excellent fan for the warm weather. Very easy check in and check out.

United KingdomIt was tricky to find the riad door as there were no obvious signs. The wifi wasn’t very strong on the second floor where we stayed.
Location was good and a 10 minute walk from the car park. A strong fan was provided free of charge for the warm temperatures. Very accommodating host who walked us to his other riad where we had amazing panoramic rooftop views of the mountains and ate a great morrocan 3 course meal!

JapanAs I am staying at August, room is hot to sleep at night as there is no window and AC in the room I stayed.
The staff is very much helpful to guide me. He came to pick me up and see me off near CTM station. WhatsApp communication also helped me a lot.

MalaysiaThe host is so nice with us. The house is so beautiful and cozy. The bedroom is comfortable. The bathroom is clean and nice. If you want to go there just tell the taxi driver royal's castle. Or just call the host and let them tell the taxi driver where to go. The host will wait for you and bring you to the riyad.

SpainAll our windows faced the indoor beautiful patio, but we would have loved to have some windows facing the street to get some extra ventilation.
We felt very comfortable in this beautiful typical house dating from the 13th century and our host Munir were very hospitable and attentive.

NetherlandsWe had the small room, which is in fact really small. The size of the (double) bed is fine, but next to that the space in the room was limited to 2 square meters, with just a few hooks and shelves for your stuff. Also the adjecent bathroom was quite small, with the shower in the middle - so be prepared for a water ballet! For our personal preference the matrass was too hard.
Munir is a super host; he showed us what real Moroccan hospitality is like. The Dar is beautiful and well decorated. It was very convenient that we could use the kitchen & communal spaces. There are only two rooms in this Dar, so we experienced a lot of privacy. The location of this Dar is central in the medina, but still very quiet (except for the inevitable mosque and some birds :-)).

ItalyThere was nowhere to hang clothes, and in case you felt cold, there were no extra blankets available, which could be problematic during the winter season. The linens were wrinkled (I would not expect this) and the kitchen was not clean. The two double rooms were extremely small and did not have private toilets; instead, there was one shared toilet for the two. If you opt for the larger room, referred to as the queen room, would grant you a private bathroom ensuite. Regarding the kitchen, despite the claim of providing complimentary tea and coffee, it seemed more like leftover supplies from previous guests. Additionally, there were surveillance cameras on the ground floor, a detail that should have been communicated. I discovered this at night when I went downstairs to the kitchen and found a camera with a flashing light and a speaker that emitted an alert message – not the most comfortable experience. Although my family and I were the only guests, it is important to note that if you book one room only, the other areas would be shared if more guests are present. Lastly, on the morning of check-out, the cleaning lady had already entered the riad to start cleaning the kitchen, I would have appreciated being informed about this in advance.
This location is ideal for those traveling light with backpacks and seeking a traditional riad experience rather than a typical Western-style hotel. The riad is in situated in the old Medina, the staff was exceptionally helpful during the check-in process.
