Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomSomething that probably isn’t important to a lot of people but access to a kettle in our room for tea/coffee would have been appreciated.
An oasis of tranquility in the heart of the Medina. The staff were amazingly professional and courteous and really looked after us.

AustraliaNoise from the family with two babies. Riad design transmits noise and maybe should be adults only.
The building, the ambiance, the exceptional staff, the location, the breakfasts on the terrace. Overall a great place to stay

We'll be sure to come back. The location is perfect, both because it's close to everything and because it's easy to get to from the airport. Very clean, extremely quiet, cosy interior, wonderful breakfast on the roof. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Every evening we came home to find a fireplace in the room(because the evenings were cool). The area is very authentic and very interesting. In a word, everything is perfect :)

United KingdomLiked everything!
Beautiful and peaceful riad amongst the bustle of the Medina. Host Simmo and the team were super welcoming, friendly and helpful. Lovely relaxing roof top terrace and a fantastic breakfast. Clean and very comfortable rooms. Easy to walk everywhere from here too - souks and square, Guilez and the Marjorelle Gardens etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend this riad.

AustraliaI’m not sure if this is the case with all riads, however you cannot lock your room as there are no locks on the rooms. We weren’t sure how we felt about this at first, however we actually ended up feeling quite safe there. The only other thing was the aircon didn’t really cool the room much, so we felt quite hot in the room at night.
This property is absolutely stunning. We had a wonderful time here. The staff are super friendly. We arrived early and although our room wasn’t ready, we were able to relax in the courtyard and were supplied with Moroccan tea which was lovely. We thoroughly enjoyed our three course breakfasts in the mornings on the rooftop terrace. We also spent an afternoon laying by the pool reading our books absorbing the serenity and tranquility of the riad. We treated ourselves to dinner one night at the riad, which I highly recommend! It’s definitely worth the money. The riad is in a good location, walking distance to most places in Marrakech.

United KingdomOur 6 day stay in the riad was absolute bliss! All of the staff were accommodating and attentive; they went over and beyond their way to make our stay comfortable. For instance, I needed smaller change for my notes and Simo (the manager) offered to do it for me swiftly. There is always someone on duty, and despite there being no locks/ allocated keys for the doors of our room, it was actually very safe. There are security cameras covering the perimeter, and the main entrance is bolted so that only residents and staff can be in the building. Every morning we were spoilt as we would wake up to breakfast just outside our room on the patio. There was no need to tell anyone, and as we sat down, someone would serve us our breakfast, which had 3 courses, and was beautifully presented. The riad was always pristine and I noticed someone every morning watering all the many plants, and sanitizing all of the surfaces. In the evenings, when we returned back to our room, our room was always tidied and even our clothes were folded! We felt lucky to have a quite and peaceful pool in the riad, which we could dip in and cool down from the hot weather. We also had the pleasure of trying out the hammam and having a relaxing massage at the riad. The hammam is less hot than the spas in the city area we have also been to, but I personally prefer it so it is up to your preference. The lunch and dinner at the riad (we had both), had exceeded our expectations, especially the main course. Out of the 6 days we had stayed and explored Marrakech, the Atlas Mountains and Essaouira, the lamb tagine at Riad Al Massarah was hands down the best tagine dish we had during our holiday. Definitely have at least one meal here - you won't regret it. Overall, Riad Al Massarah was one of our top highlights of our stay at Marrakech. We were treated like royalty and found it difficult to leave. We are sure you will feel the same...

United KingdomThere wasn't anything not to like!
I had a 4 night stay in this beautiful Riad, it has beautiful design and is very quiet and tranquil. Breakfast on roof terrace was very good. The Riad was easy to find and a good location. Simo and staff were fantastic, Simo helped me a lot with my phone and getting a local SIM card so I could navigate my way through the Medina. After a day in the Atlas Mountains I had a hammam and massage which is within the Riad, it was so good I slept for 11 hours in my comfortable bed! I would highly recommend staying here and booking the hammam.

United StatesMy flight to Marrakech was a mess (I had to sleep on the floor of the Casablanca airport and my bag was left in Frankfurt) but Simo and the team of Riad al Massarah were so helpful and understanding. They rescheduled my taxi from the airport 3 times (no extra charge), they made me a delicious breakfast when I arrived (even though it was after the breakfast hours), and when I needed help bringing things to the post office and sending them to the U.S, Simo drove me there, translated for me at the office, and helped me get all the packages shipped safely (again, free of charge). And on the day I had to check out, I needed to get a bunch of things in order before I left and Simo let me check out at 7PM to give me time to do everything(again, no extra charge)!! I could not have had a better experience than staying at Riad al Massarah to help get me settled into Marrakech. The location is also super convenient, and easy to find, even though it's tucked away in a small set of alleys (plus apple maps leads you right to it). The breakfast and dinner are both amazing as well, and the hammam and massages they have on sight are such an amazing touch to help you relax from the chaos of the Medinna. Thank you again so much for everything Simo!
