Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

You can’t ask for more. Literally everything is looking and smells lovely. The host is doing everything to make your stay (experience) as comfortable as possible. They booked us a taxi too and from airport, exchange money at the best rate , 0 commission ( someone comes to riad with money in envelope, free you from stress of changing on the street or bank rate) They have a proper catalog ( made by them, not like any agency travel catalog) with things to do, private/ group guides , activities, everything. THIS IS SO HELPFUL! Riad (old traditional Moroccan house) is a must when in Morocco. Host is really dedicated to his business.

The reviews I read before booking were no exaggeration! The cleanliness was impeccable. And compliments for the interior design, it was very nice. All the personnel were so kind and helpful. They can help you with your itinerary and even money exchange. Kasbah is a good place to stay, not noisy and taxis nearby and lots of highlights walkable. We had a very pleasant stay.

NetherlandsIn one word AMAZING. We felt welcome from the moment we arrived and the riad is beautiful and clean. The owners of Al Nubala, Florence and Cedric, are really nice and thoughtfull. But especially a big shoutout to the manager, Azzedine, who works really really hard!!! He goes out of his way to make sure everything is perfect for the guest and he is a great singer. He gave us good tips what to visit in Marrakech. If we ever visit Marrakech again we would 100% stay at Al Nubala again. Thank you so so much!

United KingdomNada, zip, zilch—absolute perfection!
During our five-night stay at Riad Al Nubala, my partner and I were really impressed with our experience. Florence, Cedric, and Azddine were super welcoming and helpful throughout our stay, making us feel right at home. We loved their suggestions for things to do and places to eat in Marrakesh, and they even helped us book some awesome excursions, which really made our trip great! The Riad itself was clean and cozy, providing a comfortable retreat after a day of exploring the city. Plus, we couldn't get enough of their delicious breakfasts each morning. Staying in the Kasbah area was a highlight for us. It was quieter than the central Medina but still close to everything we wanted to see and do. This balance made our stay even better. Overall, our time at Riad Al Nubala was amazing. The staff, the location, and the atmosphere all added up to a memorable experience that we'll treasure for a long time.

GermanyUnfortunately in our room the shower/toilet was open to the room, so there isn't any of privacy given there. It would be good to at least put a curtain or anything. In comparison to other Riads the rooms were a lot smaller In other Riads we had he whole level or some private kind of living room where we could sit together (group of 4), which was very nice.
The staff was very very friendly! They offered help with everything and the breakfast was delicious :) The rooms are very tidy and everything is super clean. The roof to the inner court is closed and there is a heating which makes it A LOT warmer in comparison to other Riads!! Huge plus, because in January in the evening it gets very cold outside.

RomaniaRiad al Nubala provided us with a very pleasant experience during our four-night stay in Marrakech. Located in a recently renovated building close to one of the most visited tourist attractions, Jemaa el-Fna Square, yet far enough to escape the hustle and bustle, Riad al Nubala skillfully blends the Moroccan style of a traditional riad with the modern luxury of a prestigious establishment. Both the owner and the staff were impeccable in their treatment of us. Extremely kind and friendly, they gave us useful advice and helped with everything we needed, making us feel among friends. A special thank you to Florence, Cédric, and Azdinne! Everything is very clean and new, from the rooms to the linens and towels. The facilities worked perfectly (Wi-Fi, air conditioning, hot water). The breakfast is very good and filling, with fresh, local ingredients. I highly recommend this riad!

United KingdomRather more a suggestion. A full length mirror would be a great addition to the room.
The decor was exceptional. Modern yet traditional. Extremely clean. Customised towels and bedding which was an excellent touch. Location was great and we felt very safe no matter what time we left. Just be vigilant of course. 3 minute walk to the Main Street where you can catch a yellow taxi. Not many people knew the riad so we told them “Kasbah” and they were able to take us home. Wi-Fi was great. The rooftop was beautiful. Tv options also great!

Papua New GuineaI loved everything about the Riad and its wonderful hosts. There was nothing I have to take away from this place. I wish the owners all the very best as the years go by.
The Riad Al Nubala is a beautiful 'home away from home'. Nestled in the Kashba it is inside the Old City and a 5 minute walk to the Saadian Tombs which was unfortunately closed for renovations during my stay in early October 2023. It was also close to a lovely tailor Aatar who had his shop in the Old City "Pour Hommes" and I was able to get some pants tailor-made for my husband. At the Riad Al Nubala I stayed in the room "Malik" and Sandra and Lilu, Azdinne, Khadija and the wonderful owners Florence and Cedric were so welcoming and kind. I truly enjoyed and appreciated the efforts they made in making my stay so memorable. Azdinne was a blessing to me when; on the second day, he went out looking for a universal adapter that could fit in the European electrical sockets. Khadija kept my room clean and tidy every day and my laundry was fresh and clean. The Riad itself, on the exterior, gives no hint of the beauty inside. It is a work of love and heart - beautifully designed, decorated and styled with a practical layout by Florence and Cedric. The room "Malik" is exceptional and the bathroom was more spacious than the pictures show. There were doors for privacy for the bathroom and plenty of storage shelves below the sink as well as along the wall. Hooks were also available to hang bags, robes, clothes and towels etc in both the bathroom and the room itself. The shower head in the bathroom was nice and big and the water pressure was really good. The room also had a safety deposit box and extra blankets if you get a bit cold in the night. The bed was firm but this is exactly to my preference. The arched windows, the practical layout of the kitchen and dining areas and the courtyard plus the spectacular rooftop patio boasting another kitchen were all brand new and magnificent! The meals were generous and I especially loved the vegetable tajine - Azdinne is an amazing cook and was inspirational when he sang at dinner.

Bathroom is modern with great water pressure and hot water The breakfast is excellent and varies day by day. Fresh orange juice every day for breakfast was a nice treat. Portugalabsolutely nothing. Everything, everyone, every piece if this ryad is in my heart.
We were staying in this magnificent riad at the time of the earthquake. We all lived an unforgettable experience together. It was so intense that I feel like I gained a new family that lives in another part of the world. Everything about this Ryad is extraordinary. It's beautiful, clean, superb. The hosts Cedric and Azzedin (my new family) treated us like kings from the first day to the last. They were tireless in the way they always treated us. I also want to say that the ryad did not suffer any damage and that the only thing that broke was a glass that fell to the floor. It's incredible how on the street we saw some destruction and in Ryad absolutely nothing. One of the reasons I chose this Ryad was because it seemed new to me and at a good time I did so because we later found out that it was built at the end of 2022. It made all the difference. Azzedin and Cedric I miss you, I left there with tears in my eyes and I'm going back. Promise. You are part of me.

United KingdomOur time at the Riad was wonderful. Cedric and his staff took care of us from the minute we arrived, with a nice cup of fresh tea and a fully annotated map to help plan our stay. The staff were kind, friendly and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure our stay was comfortable, including organising dinner after a late night excursion and booking our taxis to and from various places. They kindly warned us about the scams and even helped us purchase souvenirs at non-tourist rates. The room itself was very clean and nicely looked after- we have no complaints and would definitely stay here again if we returned to Marrakesh!
