The Riad is simply beautiful. A perfect corner of peace just one step out of the the frenzy soukhs. A few steps inside Bab Doukkala, perfect location to reach Jamal el Fna and all the main touristic attractions in the Medina as well as strategically close to Majorelle, Gueliz and sites of interest just outside the walls of the Medina. We loved Yussef and all the personnel at the Riad. They were welcoming and provided us with a lot of extra services. The breakfast is absolutely the best we had in our trip. And we regret not trying the cuisine for lunch or dinner due to our short stay in Marrakesh. The warm pool with hydro massage was a perfect treat to give yourself after a long day of walking and wandering around the city. The bathroom is cozy, clean and you could spend hours treating yourself with scrubs, moisturisers and many other treatments.

There is honestly nothing that we could find fault with.

Our stay at Riad Alili was incredible. The Riad exceeded our expectations - both in terms of the accommodation and facilities, as well as the excellent service we received from the entire staff team. The courtyard and pool are a cool oasis in bustling Marrakesh. Highly recommended - you will not be disappointed!

This stay was faultless! Fantastic welcome at our taxi by the staff, complimentary late breakfast waiting for us when we arrived. The riad was beautiful, our suite was spacious and beautifully decorated. The complimentary breakfasts by the pool were delicious. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. Probably the most beautiful place I have stayed and it was made exceptional by the incredible and welcoming staff.

My partner and I are vegetarian and would've preferred a little more variety in the meals served. But everything is bought fresh on the day so what we did eat was very delicious. Some of the rooms are on a ground floor courtyard which means you can sometimes hear guests arriving at night. This might be a problem for some, but it was very quiet otherwise. There are large shutters for privacy too.

Riad Alili is a beautiful oasis in at the edge of the busy medina, only a very short walk to the shouks and about 10-15 minutes to the Jemaa el-Fna square. Yousef and his team were a real highlight of the trip, they were amazingly helpful and attentive. They take great pride in providing a magical experience for their guests and you really feel that you are their guest. The food is freshly prepared and you can pick and choose whether you want to eat in the Riad to suit your day. They also had nice touches such as soaps that you can pick the scent of upon arrival, and mint tea and biscuits in the afternoon. The room and Riad itself was beautiful and had everything we needed. There is a Jacuzzi and small pool to relax in, or you can enjoy the sunshine on the terraces looking over the city and all the way to the Atlas mountains. It felt very luxurious and the staff did a great job keeping the rooms in perfect condition.

Food was sublime we had half board and the variety was so good. Breakfast too! And last but most importantly the staff were the most excellent- always smiling and going the extra mile. My room, adorned with rich textiles and intricate woodwork, exuded an air of refinement while offering all the amenities needed for a restful stay. The attention to detail, from the plush bedding to the fragrant toiletries, spoke volumes about the riad's dedication to guest satisfaction. The riad's wellness offerings were equally impressive. The traditional hammam, a haven of tranquility and purification, offered a rejuvenating escape that left me feeling refreshed and invigorated. The Team around Christoph and Youssef is just amazing. They really care for their guests. And though you only stay a few days, you immediatly are welcomed like friends and family. Never have been so comortable and welcomed and cared for in a hotel. As always, it is more about the relationships then the place itsself - (the place is really nice, too)

We liked everything and cannot think of any improvements. We suspect many improvements and refinements have been made over the years that the Riad has been open to guests. The team now run it exceptionally well.

We loved the Riad as it was immaculately clean and beautifully decorated. We liked the cosy atmosphere in the winter evenings around the log fires. The owners, Christophe and Sylvie, are natural hosts. The team who looked after us were polite, helpful and extremely attentive. The food was delightfully fresh and tasty.

The Riad seems so hidden and unimpressive from the outside, but then you enter the door it’s just magical! The details, the welcome and surroundings are just stunning. Youssef and his crew were so thoughtful and flexible like we‘ve never seen before. It‘s the perfect place to relax and let yourself be spoiled! The Riad is close to several restaurants and like 15-20minutes away (by foot) from the Medina or the other more prestigious side of Marrakech. We ate at the Riad one evening and it was delicious! Our „skin care“ was phenomenal too… If you have a chimney in your room, they even light it up in the evening for a cozy and warm feeling.

There was nothing negative about our stay but I think this is worth mentioning - this is a riad not a hotel and the experience is a little different - it's really like staying in a home. We were in the Jasmin Room, which was perfectly lovely and comfortable for two people but is on the small side, so we spent most of our time at the riad in the communal areas. Happily there are lots of these so you can still have plenty of privacy.

The service was perfection throughout the whole stay. Youssef met us at our taxi and could not have done any more to make us feel at home. The staff are all delightful. It's a completely different level of service and generosity of welcome than you would receive at a hotel. There are so many many little touches that really make the difference. Also, the food is exceptional! Make sure that you have dinner at least once during your stay.

    Nothing. everything is perfect.

We spent 3 wonderful nights at the Riad Alili in November 2023. It is an absolutely beautiful and wonderfully authentic place to stay. But, more importantly, the staff are exceptional. We have stayed in some of the finest hotels around the world but we have rarely been made to feel as welcome as we were by the staff in Riad Alili. The riad is located close to all the attractions in Marrakesh. We easily walked through the souks to Jemaa el-Fnaa in about 20 minutes and we’re both in our 60s. We also walked to all the main sites (as recommended by Cristophe rather than paying for a guided tour) and the riad organised a carriage ride around the walls of the city which was excellent and we would highly recommend. The riad also provides guests with a mobile phone so you can contact them at any time if you get lost or need advice during your travels. The riad offers dinners and lunches at much cheaper prices than restaurants outside and the quality of the food is first class. It is all freshly prepared in the kitchen and served in a richly furnished dining room. Definitely worth it. We had breakfast at the riad every day and it set us up for the day. There are baskets of delicious fresh bread served with yoghurt and fruit salad, a plate of eggs, fried one day, omelette the next and pastries. All served with fresh coffee and sweet mint tea. Really lovely. I would definitely recommend this riad as the staff are exceptional.

Great Riad nothing bad to say. We had a small issue with the flush in the toilet but the staff were quick to respond, gave us another room while they sorted the problem and allowed us to keep the room we were already in. Youssef also gave us lunch free of charge to make up for the issue.

Beautiful Riad with excellent service. Moustafa, Youssef and the team were friendly, kind and very accommodating to me and my family. The room was big and clean. We stayed on the top floor which had a terrace outside which felt like our own. Nice touches with the snacks and I was really impressed with the mobile phone provided by the Riad with staff numbers in case we needed anything - a great extra. The breakfast was nice and served poolside which made it a pleasant experience. Really enjoyed the jacuzzi which is freely available until 8:30pm. Staff were very helpful with taxis and general care during our stay. Location was around 15/20min walk from the main square but there were shops and restaurants close by. Youssef kindly drove me to a mosque to pray Jumma together on Fri which I really appreciated. I stayed in 3 different Riads all 9.5+ rated during my stay and overall Riad Alili was the best one. P.s. My son loved the turtles!

    Everything was perfect.

There's not much that I can add to what has been said before in previous reviews, other than that they are accurate. When I booked it seemed almost weird that everyone was praising the place and nobody seemed to have any complaints. I was wondering whether there was some hidden catch. Let me tell you: There's no catch, it's just as gorgeous, clean and calm as everyone is saying. Book this place if you don't want to worry about a thing - no weird smells, no noise, no dirt or bugs, nobody tried to upsell us or force any extras on us. Well worth paying a little more than other Riads. The vibe is quiet luxury, and it feels luxurious not just because of the beautiful design and the amenities, but mostly because of the exceptional service. Never in your face, quietly in the background, but always there to take care of every need or wish the minute you mention it. I felt pampered in a way I've never felt before. Thanks again to all the staff, especially Youssef and Ayoub, for making our stay such an enjoyable experience and gifting us with a beautiful memory.

Everything was clean, looked like brand new and smelt very good. What i have to point out was the welcome dinner, which was delicious 3 course menu for free, we really appreciate it. I found it odd that the place gets a 10/10 rating. This is kind of unheard of on booking.com . The reality it's a lovely place and would recommend, but more of an 8 or 9 out of 10. The location is fine and quite good for access for the medina but by no means perfect!

It's a lovely place and you will be well looked after. In case of confusion there are some lovely dipping pools on the ground floor but not pools elsewhere.
